This article presents an innovative approach that leverages interpretable machine learning models and cloud computing to accelerate the detection of septic shock by analyzing electronic health *** traditional methods,which often lack transparency in decision-making,our approach focuses on early detection,offering a proactive strategy to mitigate the risks of *** integrating advanced machine learning algorithms with interpretability techniques,our method not only provides accurate predictions but also offers clear insights into the factors influencing the model’s ***,we introduce a preference-based matching algorithm to evaluate disease severity,enabling timely interventions guided by the analysis *** innovative integration significantly enhances the effectiveness of our *** leverage a clinical health dataset comprising 1,552,210 Electronic Health Records(EHR)to train our interpretable machine learning models within a cloud computing *** techniques like feature importance analysis and model-agnostic interpretability tools,we aim to clarify the crucial indicators contributing to septic shock *** transparency not only assists healthcare professionals in comprehending the model’s predictions but also facilitates the integration of our system into existing clinical *** validate the effectiveness of our interpretable models using the same dataset,achieving an impressive accuracy rate exceeding 98%through the application of oversampling *** findings of this study hold significant implications for the advancement of more effective and transparent diagnostic tools in the critical domain of sepsis management.

Online question-and-answer (Q&A) platforms are replete with extensive human resources support. This paper proposes a novel methodology of a customized Large Language Model (LLM) called Chaotic LLMs-based Educational Q&A System (CHAQS) to navigate the complexities associated with intelligent Q&A systems for educational sector. It uses an expansive dataset comprising over 383,000 educational data pairs, an intricated fine-tuning process encompassing p-tuning v2, Low Rank Adaptation (LRA), and strategies for parameter freezing at an open-source Large Language Model ChatGLM as baseline model. Also, Fuzzy Logic is implemented to regulate parameters, system's adaptability with Lee-Oscillator to refine model's response variability and precision. Experiment results showed that 5.12% improvement in Precision score, 11% increase in Recall metric, and 8% improvement in F1 score as compared to other models. © 2024 IEEE.

Lung cancer is consistently ranked as the primary cause of cancer-related fatalities worldwide. The timely identification and effective treatment of lung cancer play a pivotal role in patient survival rates. Generally, higher rates of lung cancer mortality have been observed in men compared to women, largely attributable to smoking levels. This article proposes a new hybrid approach to lung cancer detection using the Computed Tomography (CT) scan images. Our objective is two folds: first, the development of a robust and accurate segmentation approach based on the Active Shape Model (ASM), and second, the implementation of a fully automatic lung cancer detection system employing the Deep Neural Networks (DNN). Given the diverse nature of cancer growth within the lung, it can appear in any location, showing a wide range of shapes, sizes, and contrasts. The proposed approach thus lays the foundation for precise segmentation, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the structural nuances. The experimental evaluation shows that the proposed approach achieves good precision and accuracy and can help practitioners as an enhanced tool for fast and reliable cancer detection. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFUs) are a common and significant consequence of diabetes, frequently resulting in severe illness and amputations if not promptly identified and treated. The growing occurrence of DFUs is a substantial obstacle to healthcare globally. Precise and prompt categorization of DFUs is essential for efficient treatment and avoidance of consequences. This research analyzed ConvMixer model for comprehensive classification designed to accurately evaluate DFU. The DFU images are preprocessed using the watershed algorithm that helps in separating different regions of an image, such as the ulcer and surrounding tissues, to improve the neural network's ability to extract high-quality information. The framework utilizes depthwise and pointwise convolutions to mix spatial and channel-wise information in an efficient manner to effectively extract pertinent information from various clinical DFU dataset. The proposed work features a multi-layered depthwise and pointwise convolutional architecture, created especially to manage the complex patterns and variances found in various diabetic foot ulcer stages and variants (DFUs). By integrating these convolutions and skip associations, the network facilitates hierarchical extraction of features and robust representation of features. Experimental results on a substantial and varied DFU dataset demonstrate that the ConvMixer model achieves an impressive accuracy rate of 97.16%, with a precision, F1-score and a sensitivity of 97%, 97% and 99.08% respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Thanks to the Internet, basic information can be found about a very large number of offers at very little cost. Many sites give basic information about real estate offers, including price, size, location and number of rooms. Information of this kind is sufficient to assess whether an offer is potentially attractive or not, but does not suffice in making an ultimate decision. The number of real estate offers in a city may be very large. In such a case, it can be beneficial to use an automatic procedure to first eliminate offers that do not satisfy the basic criteria of an individual or family and then construct a shortlist of varied and potentially attractive offers. This article recalls an algorithm that derives such a shortlist for an individual searcher. The novelty of this article lies in adapting this algorithm to scenarios in which a group decision is made. Time series forecasting plays a significant role in numerous applications,including but not limited to,industrial planning,water consumption,medical domains,exchange rates and consumer price *** main problem is insufficient forecasting *** present study proposes a hybrid forecastingmethods to address this *** proposed method includes three *** first model is based on the autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)statistical model;the second model is a back propagation neural network(BPNN)with adaptive slope and momentum parameters;and the thirdmodel is a hybridization between ARIMA and BPNN(ARIMA/BPNN)and artificial neural networks and ARIMA(ARIMA/ANN)to gain the benefits of linear and *** forecasting models proposed in this study are used to predict the indices of the consumer price index(CPI),and predict the expected number of cancer patients in the Ibb Province in *** standard measures used to evaluate the proposed method include(i)mean square error,(ii)mean absolute error,(iii)root mean square error,and(iv)mean absolute percentage *** on the computational results,the improvement rate of forecasting the CPI dataset was 5%,71%,and 4%for ARIMA/BPNN model,ARIMA/ANN model,and BPNN model respectively;while the result for cancer patients’dataset was 7%,200%,and 19%for ARIMA/BPNNmodel,ARIMA/ANN model,and BPNNmodel ***,it is obvious that the proposed method reduced the randomness degree,and the alterations affected the time series with data *** ARIMA/ANN model outperformed each of its components when it was applied separately in terms of increasing the accuracy of forecasting and decreasing the overall errors of forecasting.

Detecting brain tumours is complex due to the natural variation in their location, shape, and intensity in images. While having accurate detection and segmentation of brain tumours would be beneficial, current methods still need to solve this problem despite the numerous available approaches. Precise analysis of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is crucial for detecting, segmenting, and classifying brain tumours in medical diagnostics. Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a vital component in medical diagnosis, and it requires precise, efficient, careful, efficient, and reliable image analysis techniques. The authors developed a Deep Learning (DL) fusion model to classify brain tumours reliably. Deep Learning models require large amounts of training data to achieve good results, so the researchers utilised data augmentation techniques to increase the dataset size for training models. VGG16, ResNet50, and convolutional deep belief networks networks extracted deep features from MRI images. Softmax was used as the classifier, and the training set was supplemented with intentionally created MRI images of brain tumours in addition to the genuine ones. The features of two DL models were combined in the proposed model to generate a fusion model, which significantly increased classification accuracy. An openly accessible dataset from the internet was used to test the model's performance, and the experimental results showed that the proposed fusion model achieved a classification accuracy of 98.98%. Finally, the results were compared with existing methods, and the proposed model outperformed them significantly.

Effective configuration of Time-Sensitive Networks is crucial for providing timeliness and reliability guarantees for real-time industrial applications, where many inter-dependent streams may co-exist. However, existing methods for specifying the characteristics of real-time streams to the Centralized Network Configuration element (CNC) do not allow the specification of stream dependencies. Consequently, the CNC may schedule the real-time streams in a sub-optimal way, leading to low number of real-time applications supported. To address this pressing issue, we present methods that allow to model and express such inter-stream dependencies and propose extensions to the user network interface (UNI) to convey these dependencies to the CNC, transforming it into an intent-based UNI. We define a novel metric to evaluate a specific network configuration regarding the latency budget available for scheduling the transmission of a stream. Using a set of numerical simulations, we show that when exploiting the knowledge of inter-stream dependencies, we can derive better network schedules, which results in significant increase in applications onboarding up to 2.2x and increased network utilization for real-time streams up to 3x. © 2025 IEEE.

Sustainable smart agriculture forms one of the focal points in Society 5.0. We propose an AI-IOT enabled framework capable of processing multi-modal data for apple orchard monitoring. Real-time data acquisition is done from ground sensors as well as drone fitted cameras. The ground sensors monitor soil moisture, pH levels, nutrient composition (nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium), ambient temperature, and humidity, while ESP32-CAMs fitted on drones capture images of apples, leaves, and trees. IOT enabled Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) as well as the ground sensor framework feed the data to the cloud. YOLOv8 and ResNet152 have been used to process the images for classifying the health of the apple plants. Machine learning models predict the farm yield using the ground sensor data reflecting the soil conditions. Our framework fares better than prior art in terms of accuracy. Although existing literature exhibits processing of soil data for prediction of health and yield, our study takes into consideration three further nutrient components - nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Our study shows accuracy of 98.19% (apple counting) 53.66% (apple classification) 96.00% (leaf classification). To the entirety of our understanding, this study is the first to use multi-modal data inclusive of extended soil nutrients. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
