A new approach to cancer care, precision medicine tailors treatments to each patient's specific genetic, molecular, and clinical characteristics. In order to analyze complicated, high-dimensional data and create individualized treatment plans, deep learning - a potent subfield of AI - has arisen as a game-changing tool in this area. Discover how deep learning methods are being used in precision oncology to improve cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning in this groundbreaking article. A few examples of notable developments are the use of CNNs to medical image tumor identification and segmentation, RNNs to treatment outcome prediction, and LSTM models to patient survival. More effective and less harmful treatments are possible because too deep learning models that integrate multimodal data, such as genetic sequences, histopathological pictures, and electronic health records. These models can detect new biomarkers and forecast how different medications will affect individual patients. The clinical translation of deep learning models is hindered by a number of obstacles, despite these encouraging improvements. Problems including data scarcity, unequal distribution of classes, and unintelligibility are major roadblocks. Also, to make sure these models are accurate and reliable, they need to be standardized and validated thoroughly before they can be used in clinical processes. Fostering trust and acceptance in therapeutic contexts also requires addressing ethical problems, such as data security, possible biases in algorithmic predictions, and patient privacy. This work offers a thorough analysis of existing approaches, delves into the difficulties and moral concerns, and suggests avenues for further study to improve the use of deep learning in precision oncology. Personalized treatment regimens, made possible by deep learning, have the potential to revolutionize cancer care by vastly increasing patient outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.

Everyday actions like scratching one's nose or resting the chin on one's hand may facilitate the spread of germs and diseases. Detecting these gestures holds the potential for innovative health monitoring and disease prevention applications. However, the identification of face-touching poses challenges due to the variety of human gestures and the limitations in accuracy associated with wearable sensors. This study introduces an original deep-learning system to identify face-touching gestures using standard smartwatches' inertial measurement unit sensors. The system on the smartwatch captures and pre-processes multi-channel time-series data from the accelerometer to generate robust input features. We utilize a benchmark, the Face Touching dataset, to evaluate the recognition performance of deep learning networks, including our proposed network. Our approach proposes a hybrid deep residual network architecture tailored for sequence-based gesture classification using signals from the smartwatch sensors. In our experiments, the developed deep learning framework achieves an impressive F1-score of 97.53% in detecting face-touch gestures. The suggested system takes a step forward in advancing the practical applications of face-touch gesture detection to smartwatch-based health sensing and disease prevention. © 2024 IEEE.

Computing, Internet, digital devices, smart devices, and other technologies were leading to a new terminology known as cloud of things (CoT). Cloud of Things is a powerful technology used to analyze and store massive data from thousands of distributed devices (smartphones, vehicles, home appliances, sensors, etc.). Further, Cloud of Things integrated two concepts, Internet of Things and Cloud Computing. There are many issues in cloud computing that have been widely studied, such as scheduling. On the other hand, a few issues have been studied in Cloud of Things. The objective of this paper is to discuss and classify the scheduling issues in Cloud of Things. Researchers have developed algorithms for different environments such as heterogeneous/homogeneous clusters, cloud computing, and large-scale community grids. By reviewing and considering many of these articles, we provided an overview for reuse these state-of-the-art algorithms in Cloud of Things environments. In addition, this paper provides researchers with ideas and platform for finding open research and exploring Cloud of Things issues. © 2023 IEEE.

Recognizing individuals continuously using wearable devices has several applications in personalized services and security. This paper presents a hybrid deep network architecture called SE-ResBiLSTM that integrates a squeeze-and-excitation (SE) mechanism with residual bidirectional LSTM layers. The goal is to enhance the accuracy of person identification using data from wearable motion sensors. The SE blocks facilitate channel-wise feature refinement, highlighting helpful information. Residual connections enable the training of deeper LSTM architectures. The proposed method's accuracy in identifying individuals across increasing periods between training and testing is evaluated using the SP-SW HAR dataset, which contains activity data collected from wristwatch sensors. By leveraging representation learning and exhibiting resilience against sensor noise and temporal fluctuations, SE-ResBiLSTM improves recognition accuracy compared to regular and convolutional LSTM networks. According to the trial data, SE-ResBiLSTM achieved a maximum identification accuracy of 98.71 %. The experimental results demonstrate that this approach significantly boosts the performance of user identification using wristwatch sensors. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper,we study the system performance of mobile edge computing(MEC)wireless sensor networks(WSNs)using a multiantenna access point(AP)and two sensor clusters based on uplink nonorthogonal multiple access(NOMA).Due to limited computation and energy resources,the cluster heads(CHs)offload their tasks to a multiantenna AP over Nakagami-m *** proposed a combination protocol for NOMA-MEC-WSNs in which the AP selects either selection combining(SC)or maximal ratio combining(MRC)and each cluster selects a CH to participate in the communication process by employing the sensor node(SN)*** derive the closed-form exact expressions of the successful computation probability(SCP)to evaluate the system performance with the latency and energy consumption constraints of the considered *** results are provided to gain insight into the system performance in terms of the SCP based on system parameters such as the number of AP antennas,number of SNs in each cluster,task length,working frequency,offloading ratio,and transmit power ***,to determine the optimal resource parameters,i.e.,the offloading ratio,power allocation of the two CHs,and MEC AP resources,we proposed two algorithms to achieve the best system *** approach reveals that the optimal parameters with different schemes significantly improve SCP compared to other similar *** use Monte Carlo simulations to confirm the validity of our analysis.

Biometric identity verification is critical in security, healthcare, and personalized services. Photoplethysmography (PPG) signals, measuring blood volume changes in small vessels, offer a promising, non-invasive biometric method but often need more accuracy and robustness. To address this, we propose the ResNet-BiGRU-SE framework, which enhances PPG-based biometric identification through a s queeze-and-excitation (SE) attention mechanism. This architecture integrates convolutional neural networks (CNNs), bidirectional gated recurrent units (BiGRUs), and SE attention modules to extract spatial and temporal features from PPG signals. ResNet architecture in CNN layers extracts local patterns and mitigates vanishing gradients with residual connections, while BiGRU layers capture temporal dependencies and contextual information. The SE attention mechanism enhances focus on informative PPG signal parts by adjusting feature responses per channel. Evaluated on a standardized dataset of PPG signals from various patients, the ResNet-BiGRU-SE model demonstrates superior accuracy (95.26%), low loss (0.24), and a high F1-score (95.25 %), outper-forming recent methods. Comprehensive ablation studies confirm the model's robust and reliable performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The tremendous implications that new technology has had on the Bitcoin industry are investigated in full throughout this examination. This research uses a rigorous approach to analyse how artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and other cutting-edge technological breakthroughs like as quantum computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) are affecting the workings of Bitcoin's operational structure and market dynamics. By using a wide variety of statistical methods, the study evaluates the influence of these technologies on several aspects of Bitcoin, including as the transaction volume, market capitalization, and the efficiency of predictive analytics. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence (AI) has a significant beneficial influence on the research of market trends and the development of investment plans;cybersecurity plays a major role in improving the security of transactional processes;and modern technologies have the potential to broaden and diversify the applications of bitcoin. © 2024 IEEE.

Accurate and timely diagnosis of disorder known as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is not an easy task due to the complicated neurodevelopmental condition's high clinical presentation variation. In order to improve the diagnostic procedure for ASD in pediatric patients, machine learning (ML) techniques have come to light as potential approaches. The previous surveys about the practice of ML algorithms for diagnosing ASD in children has been thoroughly reviewed and summarized. The supervised and unsupervised learning, feature selection, and ensemble methods used in ASD research are among the many ML techniques that is methodically examined. The necessity of large-scale, diverse datasets, cross-validation methods, and interpretability are emphasized over the advantages, disadvantages, and potential future directions of ML-based ASD diagnostic models. This study attempts to offer insights for researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders in the field of ASD diagnosis by critically analyzing the current status of ML in ASD Diagnosis.

Sanitation workers play a crucial role in maintaining public hygiene and cleanliness. Understanding their daily routines and job responsibilities is essential for improving their work environment, task distribution, and overall supervision. However, tracking sanitation workers in open environments remains a persistent challenge. This paper introduces a deep learning model named CNN-BiGRU-CBAM, designed to recognize sanitation workers' daily and working activities using smartwatch sensors. The model leverages advanced convolutional neural networks to extract highly informative features from multi-modal sensor data, including acceleration information, collected from smartwatches. The dataset used in this study is carefully curated and collected from sanitation workers during their daily work routines, encompassing activities such as walking, running, sweeping, lifting, and driving vehicles. These activities are systematically categorized to cover both work-related tasks and non-work activities. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model consistently achieves an average F1-score of over 94.50% across seven activity groups, outperforming baseline deep learning methods by an impressive margin of 5.62%. The model excels in accurately identifying operations in diverse and dynamic work settings. This research highlights the potential of smartwatches and deep learning in continuously analyzing sanitation workers' duties and developing improved working regulations that consider their well-being and daily tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is essential in various applications, including wellness tracking, automated residences, and fitness monitoring. In the past few decades, sensor-based HAR has become increasingly popular due to advancements in technologies for sensors. Nevertheless, HAR networks' effectiveness dramatically depends on the caliber and volume of the training data, which is frequently restricted and unevenly distributed. This research introduces a novel deep learning method called Multihead-CNN-BiGRU, which integrates one-dimensional convolutional neural networks with bidirectional gated recurrent units (BiGRU) to improve the accuracy of sensor-based HAR. To tackle the problem of insufficient a nd uneven training data, we utilize the synthetic minority over-sampling technique (SMOTE) to augment the data. The suggested model is assessed using the publicly accessible WISDM dataset, which comprises sensor data from diverse human actions. The ID-CNN is employed for extracting localized characteristics from the sensor data, while the BiGRU gathers temporal dependencies and contextual information. The hybrid architecture allows the model to acquire spatial and temporal patterns efficiently. In addition, the SMOTE technique is utilized to create artificial samples of the underrepresented classes, thus equalizing the distribution of classes and enhancing the model's capacity to generalize. The experimental findings show that our hybrid strategy provides exceptional outcomes when paired with SMOTE data augmentation. It obtains the most excellent accuracy of 99.51 % and the highest F1-score of 99.49% compared to the most advanced approaches. The suggested framework provides a reliable and precise solution for sensor-based HAR, which opens up opportunities for improved applications in other fields. © 2024 IEEE.
