Malaria is a severe disease caused by parasites of the genus Plasmodium, which are transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. Symptoms of malaria begin to appear at least within 10 to 15 days. If malaria is not treated immediately, it is feared that it will cause respiratory problems, shortness of breath, and death. To avoid the occurrence of these events, the idea arose to create an AI (Artificial Intelligence) project that can recognize the presence of malaria parasites in blood cells. Thus, the main objective of this project is to find out how to create a Machine Learning model that can efficiently identify malaria parasites in the human body. The AI project uses CNN (Convolutional Neural network) as an algorithm to recognize the presence or absence of parasites in blood cell images that will be inputted by the user. Process of implementing CNN, using VGG19 which is an advanced CNN that has pre-trained layers and a good understanding of describing an image, both the shape, color, and structure of the image. After implementing the Transfer Learning algorithm on the dataset, the result is a Transfer Learning algorithm that can detect the presence of Malaria parasites in blood cells with an accuracy rate of 92 percent a specificity of 95 percent, and a sensitivity of 89 percent. The accuracy can still increase depending on the diversity of the data provided. The more often we train and input test data as train data, the accuracy of AI will also increase. © 2023 IEEE.

Enzymes are biocatalysts with vital roles in biological functions and many industrial applications. Diverse enzymes are classified using Enzyme Commission (EC) nomenclature, making differentiation challenging. On the other hand, another biological information, gene ontology (GO), can describe the biological aspects of enzymes, covering related biological processes (BP), molecular functions (MF), and their locations within cells (CC). This study proposes a novel EC class and subclass classification of enzymes within the ontology subclass based on their GO semantics using a Bidirectional Encoder Representation of Transformer (BERT). The BERT model is first fine-tuned using the preprocessed GO term name and definition, with the enzymes in each ontology class (BP, MF, or CC) are also divided based on how the GO assigned, either through manual annotation (NONIEA) or electronically inferred (IEA). BERT successfully obtained 0.93, 0.60, 0.99, 0.90, 0.40, and 0.35 F1 scores during fine-tuning for BP IEA, BP NONIEA, MF IEA, MF NONIEA, CC IEA, and CC NONIEA, respectively. On the test set, the fine-tuned BERT significantly outperformed GOntoSim, a framework to calculate semantic similarity based on classical information theory, in EC class classification across all metrics with less inference time in all ontology subclass. Expanded further to the EC subclass, BERT can classify the enzyme on the EC subclass level in BP IEA and MF IEA ontology subclass. However, longer epochs are needed in fine-tuning. This result shows that the names and definitions of GO terms are distinguishable features in classifying enzymes as an alternative to the information content approach. © 2024 IEEE.

Automated language translation involving low-resource language has gained wide interest from many research communities in the past decade. One lesson learned from the past COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in Indonesia, is that many local Governments have to release regular public announcements to keep people following health protocol especially when they are in public areas. Many studies showed some evidence that rural people in Indonesia which covers a large proportion of Indonesia's population, feel more convenience receiving official announcements in their local language. However, translating official announcement from the national language to many local languages in Indonesia require many experienced bilingual translators and time. This paper presents exploration results in developing an automated language translator model to translate texts in Bahasa Indonesia to the Sundanese language. In particular, this study aims to explore the effect of ReLU, Sigmoid, and Tanh activation functions of the Vanilla Transformer Model on its translation performance. The experiment results showed that the activation function under study gives similar training accuracy (0.98). However, ReLU achieves better performance than Tanh in terms of validation accuracy, training loss, and validation loss. © 2023 IEEE.

Since the emergence of Pokémon Go in 2016, the world has been introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) games. Many IT companies have begun developing augmented reality (AR) games due to the great commercial potential in this industry. Certain products may have managed to remain viable in the market, while others were forced to close due to one or two factors. Since the emergence of Pokémon Go, no other game has managed to surpass its unprecedented success. The company responsible for developing Pokémon Go has decided to shut down one of their games due to a lack of consumer interest. The technology of augmented reality (AR) is consistently associated with the concept of immersion. Immersion is a key aspect of the game that allows users to deeply engage and feel fully involved in the experience. This study will employ a quantitative methodology, utilising a questionnaire that will be distributed to and completed by those who have engaged in augmented reality (AR) games. The data will be analysed using Smart PLS to examine the impact of user experience on immersion, which in turn influences intention. After gathering over 200 participants by spreading google form questionnaires and doing data analysis, the findings indicate that only a few aspects of user experience, namely Brand Experience and User Need Experience, have an impact on reasons. Niantic, the developer of Pokémon Go, was unable to replicate their success with a similar augmented reality game called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The initial release occurred on June 21, 2019, and the shutdown took place on December 21, 2021. In the beginning, they shown a profound enthusiasm for the game but were unable to sustain it, much as Pokémon Go. According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, the primary reason for the game's shutdown was its immersion. In the digital era, the demand for quick access to goods (q-Commerce) has driven retail companies to develop online shopping applications, aiming to attract more consumers. To cater to the demands of q-Commerce, specialized mobile applications that prioritize fast delivery and user-friendly experiences are crucial. However, developing and maintaining these applications present challenges in terms of speed of development and security. This research focuses on a retail company, PT X, with a q-Commerce application serving 3.5 million active users monthly. The research aims to assess PT X's capability maturity level in application development governance using the COBIT 2019 Capability Maturity Model. Additionally, the study investigates the differences in assessment methods between COBIT 2019 and previous versions. The findings contribute to understanding in which level of capability maturity that companies can achieve in developing quick commerce applications with a large user base. Findings of this research provides an overview for PT X to initiate the necessary initial steps to comply with the good application development according to COBIT 2019 standard. This research also highlights to future researchers that COBIT 2019 is primarily a framework for enterprise-level assessment and need to be adjusted to be suitable for measurements below the enterprise level. © 2023 IEEE.

Racing is one of the most prominent genres in the modern video game industry, where the games within the genre enable players to use any vehicle of their choice and win through doing series of action within gameplay. Thus, it made the genre popular over the years, spawning many famous titles such as Split Second back in 2010. Like every other video game title, Split Second also invokes the player emotion and instinct during its gameplay session. To understand the emotion and instinct aspect present in players of the game, we will use 6-11 framework which focuses on the two aspects. As part of the conclusion, Split Second game involves instincts such as Competition, Collecting, and Survival, with emotions including Fear, Pride, Joy, and Excitement, which can be found from its vast single player game modes. © 2024 The Authors.

This research investigates the novel application of Dynamic Game Balancing (DGB) techniques in the context of a hybrid chess-survival roguelike game, a unique combination of genres not widely explored in previous studies. The study addresses two primary research questions: the identification of suitable DGB techniques for these genres and the enhancement of user experience through DGB. A game prototype was developed using Unity, where players control a chess knight in a turn-based system, facing increasingly challenging enemy pieces. The DGB system dynamically adjusts the game's difficulty based on player performance, utilizing various inputs such as damage received or dealt, health points, powerup usage, and decision speed. Preliminary results from 14 beta-testers show overall positive feedback, with players reporting higher engagement and enjoyment due to the seamless difficulty adjustments, as reflected by the high mean scores from surveys like the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). This research fills a gap in the literature by demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of integrating DGB in a chess-survival roguelike setting. These findings highlight the potential for DGB to significantly improve player experience in hybrid game genres, suggesting that its application can create more adaptive and immersive gaming environments in various other genres as well.

This research evaluates the website and application of BMKG using software quality metrics techniques that the perfomance have been upgraded by leveraging machine learning. Three process evaluation are implemented for the BMKG website and application: Crash error reports and time delay response from the website, weather forecast accuracy, and user reviews on application. Crash error and time delay response are monitored using an automatic website monitoring tool: UptimeRobot. The quality of the accuracy of weather data forecasts are evaluated by comparing BMKG data with two global platforms, MetNorway and OpenMeteo, using machine learning techniques: MAE, MSE, and R-squared. User feedbacks are retrieved from the last 1000 reviews from the Google Play Store, then analyzed using machine learning techniques: TDF-IF and F1-value. The results of this research indicates several thing that need to be improved from the BMKG website and application: The speed of website response, the accuracy of weather forecast data, and a user interface that is that is easier to use. By implementing these improvements, the positive feedback of users will increase significantly.

Task oriented chatbots are a sub-topic related to chatbots, where chatbots will perform certain tasks with specific goals. One part of creating a task-oriented chatbot is doing intent classification. Intent classification is a task of text classification. As in general text classification, the required dataset requires a label to carry out the classification process. To speed up and help the utterance analysis process, there is already a method, namely clustering, and Density-based clustering is a part of clustering that can determine cluster patterns based on arbitrary data, with DBScan as one of its algorithms. This research used 10000 client utterance data of awhatsapp based e-commerce conversation. SentenceBert also used as a state of art sentence embedding. This research yield silhouette score of 0.327 as the best result from eps of 0.1 and MinPts of 95. However, based on the cluster result, sentences labelled as noise can be further clustered. Text Preprocessing, text augmentation and sentence embedding techniques can be explored to increase the cluster performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Lung disease, especially Tuberculosis (TBC), placed the highest death rate in Indonesia. Tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesia is ranked second after India. Therefore, it is important to reduce or early detection of the lung disease, to prevent this disease and speed up handling. The system can recognize the disease lung identification, and the system applied as standalone system. In this work, the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) approach for identifying diseases lung identification is proposed. The Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) applied to process the stethoscope sounds which will used as input to the CNN. The performance of the proposed system has been investigated and resulted. The accuracy of 99% and 98%, for training and testing accuracy respectively. Furthermore, the system accurately detects lung diseases identification. © 2024 IEEE.
