The measurement of information security risk in a public sector organization is of utmost importance. This measurement serves the purpose of taking appropriate actions in response to potential risks or damaging incidents. The objective of this study is to develop a straightforward yet smart decision model capable of evaluating risks, particularly within the public sector organization. The decision support modelling (DSM) concept is employed as a framework to construct a computer model that supports decision-making in a specific case. The study comprises five stages, which are integral parts of the DSM process. These stages include analyzing the case, examining relevant documents, designing the model, constructing the model, and evaluating the finalized model. The object-oriented method serves as a fundamental approach to model design. Additionally, the fuzzy logic method, an intelligent computational technique, plays a central role in the development of this decision model. The proposed model demonstrates an average error value of 0.05 when compared to the actual risk measurement conducted. Furthermore, it reveals average risk values of 0.59 and 0.45 for the pre- and post-remediation scenarios, respectively.

The use of balanced medical datasets is essential to improve the precision and accuracy of machine learning models in the healthcare field. However, dataset imbalance often becomes an obstacle, especially in the diagnosis of skin diseases. This research aims to develop a Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) method that is more effective in generating synthetic skin datasets to overcome problems in integrating medical datasets. The methods used include developing and training a GAN model to produce realistic synthetic skin images, with a focus on improving the quality and diversity of the synthetic data produced. Important results from this research show that the developed GAN model is able to produce synthetic skin images that are not only realistic but also able to balance the original dataset. The implications of these findings include improving the accuracy and performance of machine learning models in the diagnosis of skin diseases, as well as the potential use of these methods in other medical fields that face similar problems with imbalanced datasets.

Containerization has become a popular approach in application development in applications development and deployment, many benefits we can get such as improved scalability, portability, and resource efficiency. Container-based applications, utilizing technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, have transformed the packaging, deployment, and management of software from the desktop environment to the cloud platform. In this context, software metrics approach plays a good role in evaluating the characteristics and performance of container-based applications, ensuring that developers and operators are on the same page. This article explores the importance of software metrics in optimizing the software lifecycle of container-based applications, addressing the unique challenges they present, and highlighting the potential benefits of leveraging metrics to improve performance and efficiency. Our finding Performance Metrics and Availability Metrics is the most metrics that the most measure by applications owner, relevant studies and industry practices, this study aims to provide insights and recommendations to effectively measure and optimize region-based software systems.

Real-world practical systems inherently exhibit non-linearities in their dynamics. Also, it is known that a time-varying delay exists in the system state or input-output. Combined, it affects the stability of the closed-loop system. It also increases the complexity of the controller design. In-depth controller design research on the class of Nonlinear Systems with Time-Varying Delay (NSTVD) has been the focus of the control community for many years. However, there is a lack of Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and classifications of the papers on this topic. This paper aims to review controller design utilizing a neural network model for the class of NSTVD systems. The study employs Kitchenham’s SLR method to gather, analyze and synthesize published papers from reliable databases between 2017 and 2021. The bibliometric analysis for the selected 38 papers reveals the prolific authors, countries, affiliations, publishers, co-authorship network, co-occurrences of keywords, and ten most-cited papers. Finally, this paper developed a conceptual map outlining six multi-layered findings: the addressed problem, control design method, nonlinear system properties, time-varying delay properties, system constraint properties, and actuator limit properties. A brief qualitative analysis of the ten most-cited papers is performed based on the map. The findings highlighted that the proposed methods have shown encouraging results in the simulation domain and can be used as a source of inspiration for future studies and implementation of the neural controller design of the NSTVD system.

This research paper focuses on the development and evaluation of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technology using the XLS-R 300m model. The study aims to improve ASR performance in converting spoken language into written text, specifically for Indonesian, Javanese, and Sundanese languages. The paper discusses the testing procedures, datasets used, and methodology employed in training and evaluating the ASR systems. The results show that the XLS-R 300m model achieves competitive Word Error Rate (WER) measurements, with a slight compromise in performance for Javanese and Sundanese languages. The integration of a 5-gram KenLM language model significantly reduces WER and enhances ASR accuracy. The research contributes to the advancement of ASR technology by addressing linguistic diversity and improving performance across various languages. The findings provide insights into optimizing ASR accuracy and applicability for diverse linguistic contexts. © 2024, CC BY-SA.

Opening or closing dam-gate activities manually conducted in Manggarai dam to control the dam water level. The controlling action operated to avoid the flood possibility occurring in Jakarta city (the Indonesian capital). The study was conducted to develop a smart model for flood controlling based on service or called a service-oriented smart model (SOSM). The water-flow algorithm (WFA), fuzzy logic, object and service-oriented are four main methods operated in the study. The WFA is a central method to model the real water flow in the river coming from Katulampa dam (in Bogor city) until Manggarai dam (in Jakarta). The fuzzy logic functioned to simulate the dam’s water level and the gate open/close decision should be decided by avoiding the bias value. The object-oriented model analysis and design approach, where the unified modelling language (UML) tools are operated to analyze and design the constructed model. Then, the service-oriented conception is used to integrate all sides in implementing the model. Finally, the constructed model can simulate the flood status in Jakarta via status value in decimal numbers with 6 numbers behind the point.

In the field of bioinformatics, the protein Post-Translational Modification (PTM) site prediction has been widely studied and Web Information Systems (WIS) has been deployed by researchers for this task. Through a literature review and benchmarking process, we identified the requirements which included quick predictions, efficient memory usage, and input validations. However, no detailed designs have been proposed so far, which may have contributed to some requirements not being implemented in some of the websites. Therefore, we propose a detailed WIS conceptual design, which can be used for predicting the sites of multiple PTM types, equipped with a validation algorithm and compared the usage of various string searching algorithms as well as file storage formats. Experiment results showed that the linear search algorithm is the fastest for this task and storing the protein data in npz format when performing multi-PTMs site prediction can assist in reducing memory usage. The proposed design can be implemented into user-friendly web tools that are both efficient in speed and memory usage in future studies. © 2022 IEEE.

Research in the development of Hepatitis C disease prediction is increasingly developing, especially using machine learning models which is able to make predictions quickly and accurately. In this study, a comparison of several classification methods was carried out by also applying feature reduction, NCA. In this study, a comparison of performance was carried out if the data was entered into the NCA feature extraction method with KNearest Neighborhood (KNN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) and a comparison of performance if the data did not use the NCA feature extraction method. The performance comparison metrics used in the study were accuracy, sensitivity, specification, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), and Kappa value. The highest accuracy (99.36%), sensitivity (91.94%), specification (99.67%), MCC $(0.895)$ and the best Kappa value $(0.889)$ were obtained in the KNN-NCA prediction method.

The advancements in technology during the 20th century resulted in the onset of the digital computer era. This study investigates the relative importance of earlier algorithms in comparison to more recent ones. Various research projects suggest improving vectorization by combining conventional and modern techniques, while others suggest optimizing it through algorithmic methods. This study primarily focuses on employing Bayesian optimization to optimize hyperparameters, hence improving the performance evaluation of TF-IDF FastText sentiment classification models. This study presented four models: the initial model utilized FastText with a preprocessing step that involved removing stopwords, the second model employed Fast-Text without any optimization using Bayesian optimization, the third model utilized FastText with optimization using Bayesian optimization, and the fourth model combined FastText with TF-IDF and was further optimized using Bayesian optimization. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) technique will be employed to evaluate all of the models. The findings suggest that the model’s performance stays unchanged when stopwords are eliminated (Precision, Recall, F1: 0.9007). The model demonstrates a slight enhancement through the utilization of Bayesian optimization, resulting in a 0.02% increase, reaching a final accuracy of 0.9019%. Bayesian optimization is frequently employed to improve performance. The performance of Bayesian optimization is affected by the magnitude of the learning rate, and models that do not utilize Bayesian optimization demonstrate inferior performance. Both the TF-IDF FasText model and FastText model yielded comparable outcomes, attaining an F1 score of 0.9019 after being tuned by Bayesian optimization.

Technology has evolved a lot in the last few years. E-toll becomes the only payment method available for highway roads, especially in Indonesia. This system of payment is expected to enhance the efficiency of payment from using the previous payment method. However, there are still some weaknesses addressed by the implementation of e-toll. It still takes time because the car's owner should tap the card first, and the sequence time between each person to tap is different. Thus, the queue results still long, and the traffic congestion on the highway road is not fully solved. This paper aims to address a better solution by adding a more efficient option of payment. So, traffic congestion is reduced and leads to better operation in toll gates. This research work has proposed a mobile application and route prediction model based on the Dijkstra Algorithm, where the price will be decided on which type of car will be passed by the gate, and the algorithm predicts the best possible routes based on the number of cars on the highway. Payment is conducted on the application using the balance from the application. This application eliminates time consumed during toll payment at any toll gate. © 2021 IEEE.
