This paper evaluates the QoE of video and audio transmission over a full-duplex wireless LAN with interference traffic through a computer simulation and a subjective experiment. We employ a simulation environment with a pair of audiovisual transmission and reception terminals and a pair of interference traffic transmission and reception ones. We investigate the effect of the transmission rate of interference traffic and communication distance in a wireless channel on the output quality of the video and audio stream at the reception terminal. We perform a subjective experiment with the output timing of video and audio obtained by the simulation.

The spread of Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19) in Indonesia is still relatively high and has not shown a significant decrease. One of the main reasons is due to the lack of supervision on the implementation of health protocols such as wearing masks in daily activities. Recently, state-of-the-art algorithms were introduced to automate face mask detection. To be more specific, the researchers developed various kinds of architectures for the detection of masks based on computer vision methods. This paper aims to evaluate well-known architectures, namely the ResNet50, VGG11, InceptionV3, EfficientNetB4, and YOLO (You Only Look Once) to recommend the best approach in this specific field. By using the MaskedFace-Net dataset, the experimental results showed that the EfficientNetB4 architecture has better accuracy at 95.77% compared to the YOLOv4 architecture of 93.40%, InceptionV3 of 87.30%, YOLOv3 of 86.35%, ResNet50 of 84.41%, VGG11 of 84.38%, and YOLOv2 of 78.75%, respectively. It should be noted that particularly for YOLO, the model was trained using a collection of MaskedFace-Net images that had been pre-processed and labelled for the task. The model was initially able to train faster with pre-trained weights from the COCO dataset thanks to transfer learning, resulting in a robust set of features expected for face mask detection and classification.

This paper investigates the effect of bitrate control methods on QoE of multi-view video and audio streaming with MPEG-DASH. We adopt three bitrate control methods for conventional single-view video streaming to the MVV-A system with MPEG-DASH. We conduct a subjective experiment changing available network bandwidth and investigate the effect of the methods on QoE.

As the cost of genetic testing becomes more affordable each year, direct-to-customer (DTC) genetic testing services witness rapid market growth. This has encouraged the development of an easy-to-use website application to optimize potential customers to obtain informed choice regarding the offered DTC genetic testing as well as purchasing information. We present a wireframing process as a part of the agile software development process to build a web portal prototype for an Indonesia-based genetic testing service called DNAku. The approach in building the prototype used in this case is a part of the Agile Software Development Method. In brief, the wireframing stage resulted in this work consists of three main important outcomes. The first one is the use case diagram as a blueprint of this web-based system. A site map is then proposed as an extended version of the use case diagram which visualizes the whole pages with the links. Finally, based on this site map a series of page mock-ups are designed using Hyper Text Marking Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The result of the prototype can be used as the basis for the next development stage, which is the coding stage based on the collected feedback from users. Considering the continuous application development via the wireframing method by taking into account the cycle of feedbacks from involved parties, this approach can strengthen the infrastructure to sustain DTC genetic business model, which has a niche market in Indonesia.

This study's purpose is to look at techniques and models that can increase students at universities' willingness to continue with e-learning while considering the most recent technological advances and data analysis. The study assesses the variables that can facilitate the continuance intention, focusing on the measurable aspects related to the quality, usefulness, and effectiveness of online learning. A quantitative survey was conducted to acquire relevant data, and questionnaires were completed by an intake of 491 individuals studying in several colleges in Bandung (Indonesia). The evaluation of the data demonstrates that online learning quality, usefulness, and effectiveness have a beneficial association with the intention to use online learning. This can reveal that participants who believe online learning is of good quality, useful, and effective are more likely to indicate a desire to use it in the decades to come. The study also highlights the significance of the three factors of user behavior in interactions with online learning in influencing the strength of learner intention. Using the most recent technological breakthroughs and data analysis, the research model produced in this study reveals the antecedent elements that enable the development of user intention to maintain online studies. The study's findings provide valuable insights for universities to develop effective strategies and indicators that can enhance the sustainable utilization of online learning in the future. It is essential to modify technology for e-learning to better support the dissemination of knowledge at universities, and this study can help guide universities in this endeavor.
The development of information and communication technology makes it easy for anyone to be able to take part in online-based learning. Currently, online-based learning has been offered by many institutions or commerci...

This study, using the Naïve Bayes classifier, proposes a new descriptive model for conducting a comparative review analysis on the tourism domain. The proposed model seeks to improve the understanding of tourists' experiences by visually representing their opinions between various tourist destinations. The model predicts the sentiment of tourist reviews using the Naive Bayes classifier, which is then used to generate visualizations that facilitate comparative analysis. The comparison takes two tourism sites as experimental examples. The results, in terms of accuracy, show 80% and 64% for the first and the second site respectively. The study discusses the model's implementation, effectiveness, and potential applications in the tourism industry. The findings of the study suggest that the proposed model can provide valuable insights into tourist experiences and help tourism stakeholders, such as the managements of tourism sites, the future or soon coming tourists to make informed decisions based on comparative analysis.
