Application for sugarcane plantation: Manpower and transportation planning

Sugarcane plantations in Indonesia are still managed in a labor-intensive manner, especially plantation-owned by farmers. Labor intensive means that every stage of work in sugarcane plantation management still uses manpower. One of the jobs in sugarcane plantations that requires a lot of labor is sugar cane harvesting. Trend changing in the workforce gender would affect the quantity and quality of jobs, which is determined by the workforce's capacity and the workload of the work performed. The result of this research was a sugarcane agricultural calculator that made it simple for farmers to measure manpower and transportation requirements in estimating harvest costs. Manpower and transportation of harvested sugarcane commodities were estimated through the workload approach, namely, crop production and manpower's ability to carry a load. These two components helped sugarcane farmers to determine manpower and transportation during the harvest. The final yield produced by the projected harvest labor cost would be known immediately.

Adaptive and Fair Deployment Approach to Balance Offload Traffic in Multi-UAV Cellular Networks

Unmanned aerial vehicle-aided communication (UAB-BS) is a promising solution to establish rapid wireless connectivity in sudden/temporary crowded events because of its more flexibility and mobility features than conventional ground base station (GBS). Because of these benefits, UAV-BSs can easily be deployed at high altitudes to provide more line of sight (LoS) links than GBS. Therefore, users on the ground can obtain more reliable wireless channels. In practice, the mobile nature of the ground user can create uneven user density at different times and spaces. This phenomenon leads to unbalanced user associations among UAV-BSs and may cause frequent UAV-BS overload. We propose a three-dimensional adaptive and fair deployment approach to solve this problem. The proposed approach can jointly optimize the altitude and transmission power of UAV-BS to offload the traffic from overloaded UAV-BSs. The simulation results show that the network performance improves by 37.71% in total capacity, 37.48% in total energy efficiency and 16.12% in the Jain fairness index compared to the straightforward greedy approach. Misuse of a person's data can be found anywhere because of a lack of knowledge about how to manage data and secure it properly. The rapid development of information technology, creates various activities easily, including in the health sector. In the field of health itself, there is a long-distance consultation using various applications that facilitate long-distance relationships between doctors and patients, known as telemedicine. However, the emergence of this development does not deny the existence of cybermedicine. Cyber medicine is the dissemination of clinical and non-clinical patient information that can be misused for personal gain that can harm others. This can be used in telemedicine, all online-based, so there is a possibility of data leakage. The authors want to examine the extent of data protection for patients who use telemedicine services. This study was conducted using a literature review method taken from articles related to telemedicine. Therefore, there is a need for regulations to provide legal protection for victims who experience theft of personal data by providing certainty in the management of data and information, especially the management of personal data. If the data is not managed properly and appropriately, it will lead to abuse and cybercriminal attacks.

Nowadays, applications involving multiple robotic systems connected through a wireless network - to perform tasks together - have an increased research interest. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are excellent tools for evaluating and surveying distributed robotic systems applications due to their flexibility and three-dimensional mobility capability. Cooperative systems composed of multiples UAVs may have a centralized coordination which assists the members of a team to make their decisions in a distributed manner regarding the tasks to be performed. This paper proposes a system composed of embedded hardware and a high-level communication protocol that serves as a basis for identifying, distributing, and allocating tasks in a simple and distributed way to be used by groups of UAVs. The proposal is evaluated in a search and rescue scenario. The setup is configured with two types of UAVs - namely, searchers (search for new tasks) and workers (execution of tasks). Also, a set of nine simulation experiments covering three different setups were performed. Then the proposal is evaluated by two sets of field experiments with real vehicles. The obtained results in the proposed experiments demonstrate that the system can be successfully used in the proposed scenario for task distribution and allocation. © 2021 IEEE.

The development of science and technology is currently experiencing rapid progress, starting in the fields of energy, oil, non-destructive testing, health, agriculture, and other fields. The use of radioactive substances in the health sector is used for radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, and radiodiagnostics. The use of excess nuclear and radioactive substances can endanger living things and the environment. Monitoring and supervision of the use of these elements are very needed in order to avoid their utilization for non-peaceful purposes, such as terrorism. Nowadays, terrorist attacks in Indonesia began to evolve from the use of conventional explosives to the use of chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear materials. The data shows that during the period 2011-2019, there have been six attempted terror attacks using chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear elements. This paper examines the role of ministries/agencies in anticipating the use of nuclear and radioactive substances for terrorism. Based on the results of the library study, there are several ministries/agencies that have protocols for handling terrorism attacks that use chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear elements, but they are still sectoral. Therefore, it can be concluded that the integration of the regulations/protocols in handling terrorist attacks by using nuclear and radioactive elements are needed in order to increase the monitoring and supervision of the handling of radioactive waste. In addition, it is necessary to add the RPM tools to prevent the misuse of radioactive substances and nuclear materials by irresponsible parties.

Early stopping is an extremely common tool to minimize overfitting, which would otherwise be a cause of poor generalization of the model to novel data. However, early stopping is a heuristic that, while effective, primarily relies on ad hoc parameters and metrics. Optimizing when to stop remains a challenge. In this paper, we suggest that for some biomedical applications, a natural dichotomy of invasive/non-invasive measurements, or more generally proximal vs distal measurements of a biological system can be exploited to provide objective advice on early stopping. We discuss the conditions where invasive measurements of a biological process should provide better predictions than non-invasive measurements, or at best offer parity. Hence, if data from an invasive measurement are available locally, or from the literature, that information can be leveraged to know with high certainty whether a model of non-invasive data is overfitted. We present paired invasive/non-invasive cardiac and coronary artery measurements from two mouse strains, one of which spontaneously develops type 2 diabetes, posed as a classification problem. Examination of the various stopping rules shows that generalization is reduced with more training epochs and commonly applied stopping rules give widely different generalization error estimates. The use of an empirically derived training ceiling is demonstrated to be helpful as added information to leverage early stopping in order to reduce overfitting. © 2023, The Author(s).

Profiles of specialization in education and profession are currently heavily influenced by the development of industry 4.0. The era of disruption is marked by massive changes due to innovations that change business systems and arrangements to newer levels. In various studies, there will be many professions that are extinct but there will also be many new professions that will be born. This study aims to conduct a literature review of profiles of specialization in education and profession that are relevant to industry 4.0 trends which will then be developed in a measurement through an artificial intelligence-based website. The research method used is a bibliometric approach through scientific studies of various library sources using VOSViewer with cartographic overlay techniques and density visualization maps, to represent sequences and their relationships. While the method used to develop website profiles of specialization in education and profession based on artificial intelligence is to use the waterfall method. The results of the literature review found 10 words with a high level of bibliometric correlation as the basis for developing artificial intelligence-based websites.

Five states of butterfly metamorphoses in its lifecycle naturally inspire algorithm creation. A simple butterfly lifecycle algorithm (BLCA) was successfully created by imitating a real butterfly lifecycle in five stages study;preliminary analysis, literature review, input-process-output analysis, logic analysis, and algorithm construction. The algorithm was represented thru activity diagram, pseudo-code, and class diagram. Humans rely increasingly on sensors to address grand challenges and to improve quality of life in the era of digitalization and big data. For ubiquitous sensing, flexible sensors are developed to overcome the limitations of conventional rigid counterparts. Despite rapid advancement in bench-side research over the last decade, the market adoption of flexible sensors remains limited. To ease and to expedite their deployment, here, we identify bottlenecks hindering the maturation of flexible sensors and propose promising solutions. We first analyze continued...challenges in achieving satisfactory sensing performance for real-world applications and then summarize issues in compatible sensor-biology interfaces, followed by brief discussions on powering and connecting sensor networks. Issues en route to commercialization and for sustainable growth of the sector are also analyzed, highlighting environmental concerns and emphasizing nontechnical issues such as business, regulatory, and ethical considerations. Additionally, we look at future intelligent flexible sensors. In proposing a comprehensive roadmap, we hope to steer research efforts towards common goals and to guide coordinated development strategies from disparate communities. Through such collaborative
