This work is an approach that brings together Learning Analytics and Ontologies for a data classification that promotes improvements and behavioral changes for students and teachers on e-Learning platforms. Combining training courses, dashboards, user’s evaluations, and based on Design science Research (DSR) methodology, artifacts were created. One of the most important artifacts of our work is the Sapes tool that aims to improve students’ perceptions of their learning path and to promote a better teacher overview to follow their students’ progress. The results showed high approval by the participating students and teachers, who perceived the Sapes tool as a good facilitator of the teaching-learning process, with possibilities for self-monitoring, dynamization of the learning sequence and better interactivity with colleagues, highlighted as absent in standard e-Learning courses. In addition, the application changed the behavior of users towards the content provided by the teacher, with students performing self-management and self-regulation that were not commonly performed previously. © 2023, International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning. Foreign Exchange or FOREX trading is not only done on foreign currencies but, FOREX also can be done on several commodities such as Gold, Silver, Oil. Gold is one of the most valuable commodities in the world. Investors began to offer gold as a trading material against foreign currencies. Machine Learning (ML) in the FOREX trading world is usually used to predict future FOREX values. This pilot study aims to see a model from machine learning that has a fairly high level of accuracy in making FOREX predictions. This pilot study using historical data taken from the *** database where the FOREX data taken is FOREX XAU/USD data, with a period year from 2019 until 2021, and the indicator used is Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) technical analysis. The average accuracy obtained after training on the Tree model is 86.3%, the Support Vector Machine (SVM) model is 86.6% and the Ensemble model is 86.55%. Testing conducted using machine learning models for Tree, SVM and Ensemble models have the same level of accuracy, which is 88.3%. © 2021 IEEE

Using soil as a planting medium (conventional system) raises several problems, such as the need for large agricultural land, but the available land is limited. This problem is triggered by an increase in demand for nutrients needed by the body to support daily activities, one of which can be met by consuming green vegetables, such as Water Spinach. To solve this problem, a hydroponic wick system or a wick system can use that is simple and easy to care for. Water Spinach (Ipomoea aquatica. Forssk) vegetables are easy to grow and care for. Nutrients contained in 100 grams of Water Spinach, energy: 29 kcal, protein: 3 grams, Fat: 0.3 grams, carbohydrates: 5.4 grams, calcium: 73 mg, phosphorus: 50 mg, iron: 3 mg, vitamin A: 6300IU,vitamin B1: 0.07 mg, vitamin C: 32 mg. In addition, a combination of disciplines such as mathematics, computer science, plant science, biology, and statistics can be used. This combination of knowledge is known as Plant Computational Modeling (PCM), which uses the Growth Grammar Interactive Modeling Platform (GroIMP) with the Functional Structural Plant Modeling (FSPM) method. The virtual plant model was successfully built, the results were divided into two parts, such as single plant and multi-plant. Plant computational modeling and DSM can help deal with agricultural problems. By using a plant dataset, the GroIMP-FSPM platform, and fuzzy logic, the model could help researchers in making a better decision based on BEP evaluation. The minimum numbers of plants cultivated were 650 plants in one harvest period in order to gain a desirable profit. We recommend to cultivate even more plants in one harvest period to gain even higher profits.

In this study, two deep learning models for automatic tattoo detection were analyzed; a modified Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and pre-trained ResNet-50 model. In order to achieve this, ResNet-50 uses transfer learning with fine-tuning. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and computational efficiency of the system being considered. To augment the dataset included 1000 photos that were equally divided between those showing tattoos and those that did not show tattoos. A k-fold cross-validation approach was employed in training and testing the models. Although custom CNNs are effective, utilizing pre-trained ones like ResNet-50 can offer even better outcomes. Specifically, ResNet-50 attained a higher accuracy (0.86 compared to 0.79), precision (0.85 versus 0.78), recall (0.91 against 0.86), and F1-score (0.91 vis-a-vis 0.86) as compared to custom CNNs. In selecting these models for examination, two main motivations were considered. The first motivation is to see whether transfer learning with a pre-trained ResNet-50 model does well when compared with a customized CNN designed specifically for tattoo detection. Secondly,the intent of this study is to know what advantages can be derived from each approach and their demerits too. Furthermore, it seeks to determine if transfer learning can provide an alternative in contrast to the common CNN techniques with regards to precision and computational efficiency. In this research, two models will be evaluated in order to answer the question of what is better for tattoo detection: transfer learning or designing custom architectures.

One way to save time and resources in the human recruitment and hiring process is to post open job positions on the Internet, but the overload of applications creates challenges for hiring managers and companies to select an adequate candidate. One of the solutions is to apply intelligent tools such as Deep Learning and recommender system algorithms to speed up the hiring process and identify the right candidates. In this paper, we propose a two-fold algorithmic approach to 1) building an RNN classifier for resume classification;2) using cosine similarity for resume recommendation to find a candidate that fits job requirements best after selecting all the resumes that belong to the right category. The performance of the proposed RNN classifier is evaluated in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix criteria. The experiment results have shown that the RNN classifier performs better than the other classifiers such as GNB, Linear SVM, RF, and BERT on the same dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

The spread of Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19) in Indonesia is still relatively high and has not shown a significant decrease. One of the main reasons is due to the lack of supervision on the implementation of health protocols such as wearing masks in daily activities. Recently, state-of-The-Art algorithms were introduced to automate face mask detection. To be more specific, the researchers developed various kinds of architectures for the detection of masks based on computer vision methods. This paper aims to evaluate well-known architectures, namely the ResNet50, VGG11, InceptionV3, EfficientNetB4, and YOLO (You Only Look Once) to recommend the best approach in this specific field. By using the MaskedFace-Net dataset, the experimental results showed that the EfficientNetB4 architecture has better accuracy at 95.77% compared to the YOLOv4 architecture of 93.40%, InceptionV3 of 87.30%, YOLOv3 of 86.35%, ResNet50 of 84.41%, VGG11 of 84.38%, and YOLOv2 of 78.75%, respectively. It should be noted that particularly for YOLO, the model was trained using a collection of MaskedFace-Net images that had been pre-processed and labelled for the task. The model was initially able to train faster with pre-Trained weights from the COCO dataset thanks to transfer learning, resulting in a robust set of features expected for face mask detection and classification. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. The increasing data volume given by the exponential growth of digital devices, cloud platforms, and the Internet of Things (IOT) had become an attractive target for attackers. This makes the search for innovative defense mechanisms intensified leading to a renewed focus on the utilization of honeypots to improve data security. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) examines the usage and contributions of honeypots in data security field across diverse sectors and environments. Analyzing 38 selected articles from 2018 to 2023, the study highlights the growing adoption of honeypots as tools for detecting and preventing data breaches, exfiltration, and other security incidents. Our finding found that honeypots, with their deceptive capabilities, have proven could be deployed in sectors like healthcare, cloud computing, and industrial control systems and effective in detection and prevention data breaches, exfiltration, and other data breaches, making them as a crucial tool in the data security protection. The future of honeypots lies in their integration with machine learning and AI, to predict and counteract sophisticated. Moreover, evolving honeypots into tools for deterrence and corrective action opens new avenues for cybersecurity strategies. Their ability to act as deterrents by increasing perceived risks for attackers, coupled with their role in aiding recovery from data breaches through detailed forensic analysis, positions honeypots as a cornerstone in the development of resilient data security frameworks. This study paves the way for a more adaptive, proactive, and comprehensive approach to data security, highlighting the indispensable role of honeypots in the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity.

In this decade, social media has become more frequently used because it is easy to see some news on the social media for example Instagram, Facebook, and other social media. However, the problem that often arises in social media problems is the accuracy of the news. There are many fake news circulating on social media. This paper aims to classify the fake news using random forest. This research uses data Kaggle “Fake News Dataset Combined Different Sources”. The accuracy of the Fake News Classifier using this model is is 0.9403, the Classification Report on this model is True Recall Score: 0.88 and the Fake Recall score is 0.98 while the Precision Score is 0.96 and 0.93 for each true and fake result, F1-Score is 0.92 and 0.95. News gives new insight and information from all over the world. News has many categories, such as politic, economy, science, and other common news categories. Every news will have their own category based on its content. The classification of news is usually done manually by inputting the category during the news posting. Some of the categories may be inputted incorrectly. The news classifier can be the solution for problem, but the news classifications out there are usually based on the news content. The classifier will receive the word vector inputs that are taken from the news content and try to classify it into one of certain categories. Unfortunately, news contents can be longer and harder to be processed rather than processing the news headline. The news headline is shorter and packs a decent information for the classifier to find out what category it is. Besides the news headline usage, the classifier also needs to be chosen correctly. In this paper, the SVC model will be tested using the news headline data to classify the news and compare with several other models, such as Linear Regression, Multinomial Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, and Random Forest. The common variables to be compared are the accuracy, recall, and precision to evaluate the SVC model.

Social media communications offer valuable feedback to firms about their products. Twitter users share their opinions about e-commerce products on social networking sites. This paper reports a study in sentiment classification for Indonesian drug products for automatically classifying Twitter data as expressing positive or negative sentiments or opinions. The study investigates the effectiveness of using a Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Na rve Bayes, and Logistic Regression, along with the term frequency-inverse document frequency used to classify 531 tweets into recommended (positive sentiment) and not recommended (negative sentiment). Among all traditional machine learning models, the highest average accuracy value is 88.6 in the RF model and the lowest average accuracy value is 80.2 when using the LR model.
