Social media can be used to support learning activities in non-formal education. The utilization of social media by students can be seen as a strategy to improve the students' engagement in e-Learning. It is an important goal for the e-Learning of non-formal education. This study aims to propose a strategy using social media to increase students engagement in E-Learning for the Equivalency Education program (SosMed E-LEEP strategy). This strategy has several key components. These components are students, social media, E-LEEP, and Students Engagement. SosMed E-LEEP Strategy consists of sharing activities, getting information, discussing, and interacting with students and Tutor, and for learning purpose. Each of these strategic activities is expected to improve students engagement, namely: access to learning materials, forum discussion activities, and assignment uploading. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper headed to the role of the Internet of Things in transportation life and as one of an important thing, the Internet of Things (IoT) is getting grow and grow every day. Slowly but sure, IoT enters our experience in all things. Different visions of this IoT are reported and enabling technologies reviewed. What appears is that still significant issues must be faced by the research community. The technology that relates to IoT is still in development until now, and soon it will be used in human life. IoT embraced people to bring welfare and efficiency for every activity, played the role of technology development;IoT also shows people to think and invent more technology for every application such as vehicle and smart cities. Once it was implemented, the IoT will bring efficiency and make the activity more comfortable than before. The development of IoT also creates a vision for everybody, because it opens people's minds to technology development. Smart transportation will also be implemented in every city, and soon it will become a smart city. The efficiency and human development will pay the resources, technologies, contributions, and all works from scientists and researchers with transportation. © 2019 IEEE.

Indonesia is one of the biggest agriculture countries in the world with one of its major commodities, rice. Despite its vast paddy field and tropical resources, Indonesia still has not achieved food security. This paper explores ideas about how to present artificial intelligence that may increase rice productivity in Indonesia. Current situations of rice cultivation are mentioned start from existing technologies and systems used in Indonesia. Some artificial intelligence concepts are also introduced. Artificial Intelligence use in rice farming is then analyzed which ideas may be applicable to increase efficiency further. Those that are already implemented in rice farming include diseases and pest detection, prediction and estimation, and automated intelligent systems. In the proposed idea section, ideas to increase production are explored. Using advanced technologies may not be suitable for Indonesia's rice farmers. One argument is to minimize the differences in rice yield in different areas or so what we called yield gap. Factors such as weather, water, and harvest date are those with most impacts on the yield gap. It is beneficial to have a model that can predict the optimal planting date of rice since that will maximize the factors before. Among those implemented, a planting calendar prediction on rice-based on rainfall is already developed. However, rainfall is not the only factor. El-Nino occurrences and temperature changes also have a role in deciding when best to plant rice. The author suggests adding those two new variables, making three in total to the earlier neural network model may improve the overall result. © 2019 IEEE.

Managing customer satisfaction has become an important business trend, including restaurants business. This study aims to determine the application of the K-means, Spectral Clustering (SC), and Agglomerative Clustering (AC) method for measuring customer satisfaction on a family restaurant in Taiwan. We contribute the data collection process and application of data mining in a family restaurant. The clustering analysis based on agglomerative clustering approach performs as well as the K-means approach to cluster the same characteristics of the customers. At last, this study shows the measurement result of customer satisfaction and provides improvement suggestion to the restaurant concerned.

Mass gathering has been identified as one of the causes of fast-spreading of COVID-19. Physical distancing practices and large gathering control in Malaysia and all over the world are likely to be continued until the end of the year, even after Movement Control Order (MCO) has been lifted. This has imposed event organizers to redesign their events into virtual events where attendees are to stay at their houses and meet with the host and other attendees virtually. However, certain types of educational events or activities such as practical and hands-on classes are not to be virtually conducted as it by nature carries a competency for the students. This paper evaluates the standard classroom layout by comparing with optimal layout based on circle packing problem (CPP) solution. CPP solution is used to optimize the physical distancing-constrained for the student seat layout as in it happens in real life. The findings can provide an effective exit strategy for Malaysia to deal with this COVID-19 pandemic or other pandemics in the future.

Saint-Venant Model Analysis of Trapezoidal Open Channel Water Flow using Finite Difference Method

This study aims to compare the flow characteristics in rectangular and trapezoidal open channel by investigating the effects of Manning coefficient, channel bottom slope, channel width, and channel side slope which represented by modified Saint-Venant equation according to the channel cross section, which are rectangular and trapezoidal, and the slope of channel friction using the Manning coefficient. The equation is solved numerically by using finite difference methods with Forward Time Backward Space approach. The model is simulated by using python-based desktop application to show the flow characteristics. Computational results are displayed in the form of summaries, tables, two-dimensional graphics, and three-dimensional graphics. Validation is done by comparing computational results data with data from the other studies that have been done before and concluded that the simulation results have been valid and indicate compliance with the prior studies. The simulation results show that trapezoidal channel is better at minimizing the risk of flooding than rectangular channel in consideration of smaller discharge, smaller velocity, and lower water level.

Searching for data or documents that are always a necessity in the world of education, work, research an others requires convenience so that time efficiency occurs. This is supported by the emergence of various Information Retrieval system applications, one of which is cata, which is built on the Java programming language and applies the Generalized Vector Space Model method which can search based on similar keywords. Other facilities need to be developed, one of which is by applying the stemmer porter algorithm applied to the WTS (Web Tokenization Stemming) web which is built with the laravel framework that can search data or documents simply by typing the basic words so that searches are easier and faster. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. Politic is one of the most favorite topics to discuss in social media for people in Indonesia. It was proven when a people movement to support the Commission of Corruption Eradication (KPK) named #SaveKPK has been enlived for ten years and become a trending topic on Twitter for several times. In this research, all tweets contain `#SaveKPK' are crawled and compiled using an alternative algorithm to get twitter historical data instead of using Twitter API. The result described the characteristic of the dataset statistically, from the most frequently used words to the most active users. A clustering algorithm named Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) was run over the gathered text dataset to discover most relevant keywords using unsupervised learning approach.

This paper proposed a method which detects a political buzzer in social media, specifically Instagram. With Indonesia undergoing 2019 presidential election, a detection of buzzers that causes much trouble in maintaining information neutrality is seen as a needed. One of the many reasons is because those buzzers spread false news making the information gained by the use of social media to be not neutral and deliberately offends or attack those that they are not in favor of. Those buzzers share a similar characteristic, tendency, or even possess the same pattern. Grouping, classification, and detection method are used to counter this problem. This research gives a slight overview of what is happening in social media and a theory of how to deal with those problems. The argument is expected to help to identify buzzer in real life, thus helps in maintaining information neutrality along with the social media in Indonesia. © 2019 IEEE.

Religion is a part of a fundamental human right to serve and worship their God according to their religion and belief. Mobile game application along with the development of mobile phone technology such as a smartphone, tablet, and laptop, can be used to increase the player or user interest to engage with religion thing. Using the mobile game application in mobile gadgets will expand quickly to install and use for religion engagement. The player can learn religion things with fun and entertain ways, where the player does not realize that they do something serious in an unserious way. This paper will explain the model system design for mobile game application for learning Catholicism in fun and entertaining way and for the first development was limited to only three Catholic catechisms such as bible learning, church lesson, and liturgy celebration. For the early development, three types of games were developed such as True or False game, Scramble words game, and multiple-choice game. The mobile game model was designed with a use case diagram, storyboard, and class diagram, where for the current implementation the mobile game application was implemented using a ten tables database. © 2019 IEEE.
