Recently, the research on daily health monitoring using a wearable sensor has been continually evolving. In the future, when this system is actually implemented, a vast amount of data transmission will be conducted from multiple sensors to the cloud server. A system capable of transmitting, storing, processing, and visualizing massive volumes of data is necessary for health monitoring. This research aims to develop a health monitoring system that can accommodate a high amount of data with high performance. The proposed techniques include numerous modifications to system architecture and technology. In the system architecture, a multi-database is proposed to enhance the reliability of the system. As an enhancement to the technology aspect, a time series database and MQTT server are proposed. As the result, the proposed system achieves significantly better performance in terms of throughput, database-writing speed, and database-reading speed compared to the existing system. © 2022 IEEE.

Negation handling is often overlooked in Indonesian sentiment analysis, making it difficult to automatically and accurately determine the polarity of sentences containing negation words. Negation is a challenging issue in natural language processing, as it can drastically alter the meaning of a sentence. For example, common Indonesian negation words such as “tidak” (no/not), “belum” (not yet), or “jangan” (do not) can reverse the sentiment polarity in a text. Previous studies have proposed rule-based approaches, relying on linguistic rules or dependency parse trees to handle negation. However, negation is a complex problem that cannot be effectively addressed by simple rules alone, as they often lack flexibility in handling diverse sentence structures and negation complexities. Therefore, a more dynamic approach is needed, such as combining a dependency parser with an embedding layer, which can map syntactic relationships between words and learn vector representations of negation. This allows the model to flexibly determine the scope of negation words, enabling more accurate sentiment analysis even in complex sentences. This study evaluates the impact of negation handling on a transformer-based model, specifically XLNet, in Indonesian sentiment analysis. Using the proposed method, the model's F1 score increased by 2.13%, from 71.42% to 73.55%, compared to the baseline model. This demonstrates that the proposed negation handling strategy enhances sentiment prediction accuracy, making the model more effective at handling texts with negation.

Technological developments have resulted in a trend of cryptocurrencies that use a technology called blockchain to create and record all transactions made into a digital ledger. Along with the emergence of the trend of cryptocurrencies, this development has also resulted in crimes that hit the digital world, such as data leakage and cyber espionage. This threat can be prevented by applying blockchain technology to the database that has been used. Therefore, we need a system that can facilitate the use of blockchain technology and can process data from an existing relational database into a blockchain-based database. The system developed in this study was built with the FastAPI framework that uses the Python programming language and the React framework that uses the Javascript programming language. This system was tested using Katalon and Wireshark software to perform throughput testing and man-in-The-middle attacks. Evaluation of this system is assessed based on the average throughput time and also the results of Wireshark packet capture. The system designed in this research is expected to help overcome interoperability problems when using blockchain and improve relational database integrity. The results of the test show that the system is safe from man-in-The-middle attacks while sending data through API and has a faster throughput time than BigchainDB system by 4.151 seconds. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. Modern retail businesses face a significant challenge with the inefficiency of manually changing price labels on shelves. This manual process not only consumes valuable time and resources but also increases the likelihood of errors, leading to potential inaccuracies in pricing and a less streamlined shopping experience for customers. The proposed solution is the implementation of an Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) system that automatically displays the prices of goods on retail business shelves. This system connects a website (front end and back end) to e-paper via a Wi-Fi network and microcontroller, allowing retail business owners to update prices more easily. Additionally, buyers can search for desired items through the website. The results are the time to send data from the website to the e-paper, namely, to know the performance of the e-paper used. The average time required from 10 attempts to send data from the website to the e-paper is 20.935 seconds. Since the data is connected to the server and will be updated automatically, using this system will be more efficient than manually changing the price label, although it takes time to transfer data from the website to the e-paper.

A subscription movie streaming service from the United States, Netflix, has been present in Indonesia since 2016 and provides a wide variety of films without showing any single advertisements that can be viewed from anywhere, as long as there is access to the internet. Despite these advantages, many users have complained through the Google Play Store's comments column. Some of the common complaints include frequent buffering and connectivity issues, dissatisfaction with the limited selection of Indonesian movies, lack of subtitles for specific languages, or pricing concerns have also been raised. In this study developed two combined scenario methods using the InSet and SentiStrength-id dictionary to obtain better performance and compare them against independent InSet and SentiStrength-id. This study collected users' comments for the Netflix app in the Google Play Store as a dataset using web scraping techniques through the Google Collaboration tool. The dataset contains 3250 rows spanning the period from January 22, 2024, through June 6, 2024. To ensure proper processing of the text, data cleaning, lowercasing, normalization, tokenization, stemming, and stopwords removal are conducted. The results show that most user opinions are negative. The InSet dictionary has an accuracy of 92%, SentiStrength-id 78%, Combined scenario 1 is 87%, and scenario 2 reaches the highest among others which is 92.52%. © 2024 IEEE.

One application that can be utilized in finding the latest news is by utilizing the development of information and communication technology such as seeing the delivery of public information through social media such as twitter. This study implements the system which is able to get the trending or top news based on twitter data. This information will connect to the journalist via mobile application. It helps journalists to get the potential news to be reported in their media. The application will group each tweets into various themes based on the cosine similarity. The tweets which are more the certain threshold, can be indicated as the top news. The top news is then classified into one category news by using SVM algorithm. The training data becomes from the source data of one media news. The specific topic of this result will ease to order the journalist cover this top news. Emotion recognition can help human-computer interactions by enabling systems to respond empathetically and adapt to users' emotional conditions. This capability improves user experience, supporting the development of a more intuitive and emotionally responsive communication system. This study analyzes a bimodal approach based on gender (male and female) to recognize emotions without contextual information in dialogue analysis. Utilizing the Multimodal EmoryNLP dataset extracted from the TV series Friends with acted speech, we focused on four primary emotions: Angry, Neutral, Joy, and Scared. The model used in this study for text classification is RoBERTa, and wav2vec 2.0 is used for audio feature extraction with the Bi-LSTM model for classification. The experiment results using weighted F1-score reveal that data augmentation enhanced the performance of analyzing the original dataset from 0.46% to 0.52% and the male dataset from 0.43% to 0.51 %. In comparison, the female dataset remained consistent at 0.46%. The weighted F1-score and Unweighted Averaged Recall (UAR) from the male dataset are higher, 51 % and 48%, respectively, than those from the female dataset, 46% and 47%, respectively. Gender-based analysis indicated that male and female datasets exhibited distinct performance patterns, highlighting variations in emotional expression and recognition between genders. These findings underscore the effectiveness of multimodal strategies in emotion recognition and suggest that gender-specific factors play a significant role in enhancing classification performance. While these results highlight performance trends, further validation through repeated trials and statistical analyses could provide stronger generalizations and insights into gender-based differences.

This study evaluates the performance of the REAL-ESRGAN [1] model on images with varying levels of degradation using the DIV2K dataset [2], such as the Wild, the Mild, the Difficult, and the x8 subsets. REAL-ESRGAN was created to solve super-resolution problems and aims to produce high-resolution images from low-resolution images. Experiments were conducted at scales of x2 and x4, and performance was measured using Full-Reference metrics (LPIPS, PSNR, SSIM) and No-Reference metrics (NIQE, MANIQA, CLIPIQA, and PI). The Results were good, especially with the x2 scale; it has higher PSNR and SSIM scores, lower LPIPS and NIQE values, and enhanced visual and perceptual quality. The model faced more significant challenges with the wild and the difficult datasets because they have more complex degradations and compression artifacts; it can be seen with unstable results of Full-Reference and No-Reference metrics. On the contrary, the Mild and x8 datasets yielded better results in both metrics; not only that, even the computational cost for Mild and x8 outperforms the rest of the dataset. This study shows the strengths and limitations of REAL-ESRGAN in handling different levels of image degradation. For future research, the model needs enhancement to tackle the degradation format of the wild and the difficult dataset. It would be good if the REAL-ESRGAN improvement could also maintain the computational cost.

The rapid growth of digital payment platforms like OVO, ShopeePay, and GoPay in Indonesia has driven the need for businesses to optimize marketing strategies by analyzing customer interactions through social media. This study leverages Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Power BI to extract insights from Twitter data, offering a comprehensive view of how these platforms engage with consumers and shape brand perceptions. By applying sentiment analysis and classification using IndoBERT results, this study aims to identify key influencers, assess the sentiment around these brands, and visualize marketing communication patterns. The integration of SNA and BI tools provides a detailed, data-driven approach to improving business decision-making in the competitive digital payment market, by utilizing them to evaluate e-wallet tweet activity and user interactions in Indonesia and identifying key periods and regions for targeted marketing. Strategies like loyalty programs and segmented campaigns are recommended to enhance user engagement, address security concerns, and maximize market reach during culturally significant periods such as Eid and the holiday season.

This systematic review provides a comprehensive overview of the methods used to integrate genomic and clinical data in cancer prediction. The review includes 19 studies across various cancers, including breast, colorectal, melanoma, lung, pancreatic, and thyroid. The studies employed different methods to combine genomic and clinical data, including weighted polygenic risk scores, genetic and non-genetic risk scores, and different machine learning algorithms. The results show significant improvements in model prediction performance accuracy across multiple studies. The review highlights the potential benefits of integrating genetic and phenotypic information to improve disease risk prediction models and inform personalized healthcare strategies. © 2024 IEEE.
