This study examines the necessity of employing BERT2GPT for single-document summarization in the current age of escalating digital data. The primary focus of this work is on the abstractive technique, which tries to generate versatile summaries that surpass the primary sentences of the original content. This study employs two models, namely BERT and GPT -2, for the purpose of the summarization system. The paper introduces the BERT2GPT model, which merges the bidirectional characteristics of BERT with the generative powers of GPT. The findings indicate that the BERT2GPT method successfully catches significant information and linguistic nuances, hence enhancing the quality of the generated summaries. The corresponding average values for Rl, R2, and RL are 0.62, 0.56, and 0.60, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

There are many alternative fuel types that can be used by a particular type of engine. Determining which fuel alternative is optimal for an engine presents its own challenges. This is especially true in an industrial setting, where certain standards are necessary to select the best fuel alternative to be used and operated. This study aims to develop a decision model for selecting a fuel type for boiler engines based on specific parameters or criteria. The decision model is designed using an object-oriented approach, utilizing three types of diagrams: object, activity, and sequence. An object-oriented model design approach allows for the decision model to be depicted transparently and very close to reality. Additionally, the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) and fuzzy logic are the core methods employed in constructing the decision model. Then, in developing this decision model, four main criteria or parameters are considered: cost, heating value, safety, and emissions. These four parameters were derived from a literature review and interviews with experts. Among the three evaluated fuel types (i.e., natural gas, industrial diesel oil or IDO, and coal), coal received the highest decision score of 0.78. Thus, based on this decision value-the outcome of the model's recommendation-it can be concluded that coal remains an objective choice as a fuel for use in boiler engines. © 2024 IEEE.

The Information Technology/Operational Technology convergence towards Industry 4.0 opens the opportunity to leverage recent advancements in Information Technology for Operational Technology, such as Cloud, Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, cyber-attacks are increasing for Operational Technology. The security aspect in Operational Technology systems has traditionally been a low priority, in contrast with speed. This introduces challenges as Industrial Control Systems such as programmable Logic Controller in Operational Technology have been traditionally optimized for speed rather than security due to limited computing power. As computations need to be as efficient as possible, security in Operational Technology has yet to be managed as robustly as in Information Technology. Operational Technology communication protocols for securing data transfer, for example, have no or just a few security capabilities, even for basic authentication and encryption. Common security algorithms rely on random numbers. However, Random Number Generator is not usually part of standard functions in programmable Logic Controllers, the core control component in Industrial Control Systems. In Industrial Control Systems, the Random Number Generator is mostly implemented as a software-based Pseudo Random Number Generator. This paper shows how to apply a Pseudo Random Number Generator in a Siemens Compact PLC S7-1200 using a modified lightweight XORshift algorithm. The XORshift algorithm can generate better randomness than the system's clock-based implementation in the Siemens Library of Generic Functions. © 2023 IEEE.

Fatigue in workplace is a common thing shared by all employees. Continuous exposure of fatigue could lead to negative productivity for companies. Current research on fatigue detection mostly focused to detect fatigues from a single 2D image data, meanwhile research on fatigue detection using each frames from video data is needed for better detection for fatigue process. The main advantage of using each timesteps of frames from video data which makes the model is able to predict long term dependency of fatigue person. To solve this problem, a deep learning model is proposed that could detect employee fatigue based on image processing using video data. Three models are used to train data using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), which are Time Distributed CNN LSTM, 3D CNN, and 3D CNN LSTM. Out of those three models, the best model to detect fatigue person from video data is Time Distributed CNN Model with F-1 Score value of 0.77 and Accuracy Score of 0.76 for testing data. The model that gives best inference time is also Time Distributed CNN Model with the average value of 382 miliseconds to detect fatigues from 58 testing data with each of the data has duration of 3 seconds and 12 frames. © 2024 IEEE.

The ability to differentiate various products in the retail store plays an essential role to provide effectiveness to customers and reduce or even eliminate long queues. However, traditional machine learning algorithms are incapable of recognizing many subordinate categories in various retail product. This paper aims to recognize the retail product recognition algorithm based on the YOLOv7 model in terms of intra-class variations, with the sub-categories of brand and size. We used two schemes of the dataset to compare recognition performance between them. Firstly, the YOLOv7 is applied in the two schemes of the dataset that is annotated with the subordinate category to detect the brand as meta category. Secondly, the proposed method is applied by adding the object size classification into the YOLOv7 model where the square area of the bounding box was calculated to classify the product according to size. Confidence score and square area are used to verify the object and to obtain the product size, which represents sub-category of the product. The experimental results show that our proposed method achieves higher recall compared to baseline object detection. © 2023 IEEE.

In online-based virtual worlds such as Metaverse, Online Games, and other online digital spaces, the virtual/digital goods (digital items / digital assets) are fundamental things that must be available to be able to do business & create an economy in the virtual world through monetization & transactions from these digital goods. This research focuses on summarizing and exploring the attributes used in digital goods in the virtual world by extracting attributes in digital goods from other related studies using the Systematic Literature Review methodology & PRISMA Framework comprehensively so that it can be a reference for developers in designing the properties and functions of digital goods in the virtual world that are being developed, which in this case will be in the form of an NFT in the future. Based on research that has been carried out, 3 essential metadata attributes have the most influence on transactions, number 1 Visual Design / Aesthetic (Representative), number 2 Effect (Utilities), and number 3 Statistics / Performance (Utilities) which must be considered in developing/making digital goods in the form of NFTs in the virtual world so that the value of digital goods can attract users to buy or transact them in the virtual world. © 2024 IEEE.

The long COVID-19 pandemic has limited the activities of Ruang Publik Terpadu Ramah Anak (RPTRA) such as environment cleaning, repair of RPTRA infrastructure, learning and others, as well as the lack of public awareness about the existence and importance of RPTRA to the public and foreign tourists encouraging the RPTRA to make changes in the dissemination of information about the activities carried out in the RPTRA through the use of technology to survive and grow even during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The methodology used in this research is Group Discussion Forum with the administrators of the RPTRA Maya ASRI 13 to learn about the needs and expectations of the RPTRA administrators regarding the web portal to be built. Then, the implementation of the conceptual model, development, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the RPTRA information web portal was carried out. The contribution in this research is to implement a conceptual model on the information portal built on the platform of the Website with the PHP framework, which is then evaluated on the results of the pre-test and post-test about RPTRA the Wilcoxon-Signed Rank Test to test the effectiveness of the information web portal for general users. The results obtained from these tests indicate that the RPTRA Information Web Portal can help the public learn more about the existence of RPTRA Maya Asri 13. © 2022 The Authors. The increasing number of articles available in the digital library will require quite a long time and accuracy in sorting articles according to needs. The use of artificial neural networks in finding the right articles as needed through topic segmentation applications will helps this process in terms of speed and accuracy. Several neural network models used in segmentation topic applications include Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The Transformer model since its introduction in 2017 for Natural Language Processing (NLP) has a better level of accuracy compared to the RNN, CNN and LSTM models. Transformer model research for segmentation topic applications, especially articles in Indonesian language, is still very limited. This paper will discuss the use of the Transformer model in segmentation topic applications for Indonesian-language articles. The experimental results found that the accuracy produced by the Transformer model was higher than previous LSTM model with the WindowDiff value generated by the model proposed using Transformer is 0.249 and the LSTM baseline model is 0.363, while the PP! value generated by the proposed model is 0.279 and the LSTM baseline model is 0.394. © 2023 The Authors. The advancements in technology during the 20th century resulted in the onset of the digital computer era. This study investigates the relative importance of earlier algorithms in comparison to more recent ones. Various research projects suggest improving vectorization by combining conventional and modern techniques, while others suggest optimizing it through algorithmic methods. This study primarily focuses on employing Bayesian optimization to optimize hyperparameters, hence improving the performance evaluation of TF-IDF FastText sentiment classification models. This study presented four models: the initial model utilized FastText with a preprocessing step that involved removing stopwords, the second model employed Fast-Text without any optimization using Bayesian optimization, the third model utilized FastText with optimization using Bayesian optimization, and the fourth model combined FastText with TF-IDF and was further optimized using Bayesian optimization. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) technique will be employed to evaluate all of the models. The findings suggest that the model's performance stays unchanged when stopwords are eliminated (Precision, Recall, F1: 0.9007). The model demonstrates a slight enhancement through the utilization of Bayesian optimization, resulting in a 0.02% increase, reaching a final accuracy of 0.9019%. Bayesian optimization is frequently employed to improve performance. The performance of Bayesian optimization is affected by the magnitude of the learning rate, and models that do not utilize Bayesian optimization demonstrate inferior performance. Both the TF-IDF FasText model and FastText model yielded comparable outcomes, attaining an F1 score of 0.9019 after being tuned by Bayesian optimization. © 2023 IEEE.

The growing focus on microcredentials emphasizes the urgent need for precise and widely accepted definitions, as existing uncertainties hinder their effective implementation. This research aims to investigate the comprehension of microcredentials definitions in the context of higher education by conducting a systematic literature review. The goal is to identify current definitions of microcredentials to facilitate standardization initiatives. Following The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology to systematically search in Scopus database within 2019-2024 resulting 940 articles, by removing the duplicates, 280 articles were initially reviewed, with 29 selected for detailed thematic analysis based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. By adapting the six phases of thematic analysis, selected articles were identified analyzed, organized, described, and themes found the data set were reported. Key findings reveal that, while a universally accepted definition is lacking, common themes emerge: microcredentials are competency-based, modular, portable, stackable, and often include quality assurance. These attributes highlight microcredentials as valuable for upskilling and reskilling in a flexible manner. The study concludes that establishing standard definitions can increase the recognition and utility of microcredentials across educational and professional sectors and recommends further research to strengthen core elements for consistency. © 2024 IEEE.
