Extended urbanization phenomenon in smaller-sized cities in Java should be considered by the government. However, the local governments can only use the plans from the central government. The negative effects of this, among others, are improper land use allocation, lack of facilities, and crimes that are difficult to handle. This study proposes a geographic information system (GIS)-based method to analyze the proper central business district in Karawang, a small district in Java, Indonesia. Multi-criteria analysis of factors affecting the candidate locations was used through a weighted sum method in a model. The spatial data were retrieved and analyzed using a GIS tool to classify region into urban, peri-urban, and rural. Some central business locations have been found after reclassification which is located near the toll gates. Two locations in the north of Karawang were classified have the potential to become the new central business locations.

ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling is one of the initial efforts to bring together profiles among ASEAN countries and to find the most powerful determining factor for entrepreneurs in ASEAN, developed using the Neuroresearch and Waterfall Model research methods. This research aims to identify the design of ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling website design to collect data online by using Neuroresearch and Waterfall Model research methods. The result shows that this profiling is expected to be able to contribute to novice entrepreneurs to explore gaps, take advantage of opportunities, prepare for their capacity, and build their potential. It is also easier for business actors when visiting the website as it displays self-profiling and recommendations for themselves. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The focus of this research is looking for general factors in digital economy and sharing economy. The methodology is using a systematic literature review approach that is categorized appropriate literature reviews where the literature review will focus on research on digital economy and also the concept of sharing economy or research that adopts both methods. From total 119 papers found in accordance with the search keyword, there were 50 papers which were candidates, while 12 papers were selected in this study. Furthermore, there are 9 (nine) factors that are common factors in the digital economy and sharing economy.

Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food made from soya beans, but it has recently been improved by using other types of beans as the base source. Tempeh has been consumed around the world for a long time and is one of the food substitutes for animal protein. The creation of tempeh until now still utilizes the traditional method from the beginning, observation, until the collection of the final product, which still includes the human role inside the process. The process of creating tempeh products takes approximately 1 to 4 days. The observation of tempeh creation in the soya bean’s fermentation phase has automation potential by implementing computer image detection with a Machine Learning method that can increase the working time efficiency. Based on the potential, this research forms an image dataset containing the soya bean fermentation process for creating traditional tempeh products. The image data were taken by capturing product photos directly using the smartphone camera. There are 3 stages at the time of tempeh product creation for image data collection. Starting from the zero-day process, the soya beans that have been through the cooking and washing process and have been mixed with tempeh yeast (Rhizopus sp), are put into the product mold package. The first-day process is when the wrapped soya beans are at the fermentation stage and turn into the tempeh products and can be identified by warm water dew and a little tempeh mold. On the second-day process, the soya beans have been fully covered by tempeh mold and have been solidified. The data created from this research is in the raw image data that has been through the process of filtration and image cropping. The image data is grouped by folders named by the time of the fermentation process to form the tempeh product, namely Day-0, Day-1, and Day-2.

Recently, the number of people who have trouble sleeping is on the rise. It results in an increase in the number of car accidents, lower productivity and a higher risk of chronic disease. Advancing wearable and contactless health sensors offers the possibility of daily sleep quality monitoring that can be done on a regular basis by patients in their homes. The goal of this research is to propose the design of an Internet-of-Things (IoT) sleep quality monitoring system that can be integrated with a wearable or contactless sensor. The proposed platform architecture is based on micro-services and is event-driven. The simulation results show that the implementation of the IoT sleep quality monitoring system based on the proposed design decreases the response time by 55.85 per cent while increasing the throughput by 34.76 per cent compared to the traditional approach. On the other hand, the rate of increase in memory usage per instance replication for proposed method is lower than the traditional method.

Stock Price Prediction Using LSTM and Search Economics Optimization

Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) has been one of the most popular methods in time-series forecasting. Within the LSTM architecture, there are hyperparameters present that need to be optimized in order to achieve the optimum results. In order to optimize these hyperparameters, a metaheuristic optimization method was used. A metaheuristic algorithm was used as a way to reduce both time and computational complexity. We used the Search Economics algorithm because we found the algorithm quite interesting while being unpopular. The evaluation was carried out by using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) as the primary metric used for the optimization. The dataset being used in this experiment is the stock price of one of the most well-known financial institutes in Indonesia. The SE-Optimized LSTM was able to create a prediction that did not overfit with RMSE of 538.92, which was great compared to the unoptimized LSTM model with RMSE of 661.041 and ARIMA model with RMSE of 2809.015. © 2020. Flood disaster happens periodically in Jakarta. One opportunity that can be maximized to mitigate it is control management of the Manggarai water gate (MWG). The MWG itself is placed in the Ciliwung river in one district of the capital Jakarta. It has a vital role to minimize the impact of flood disasters in Jakarta. The study is a further version of previous research indeveloping a water-flow-like algorithm (WFA) based decision support model (DSM) to mitigate the impact of flood disasters. Theconstructed DSM is practically functioned to control the operation of opening/closing the MWG. The DSM was constructed by combining the previous WFA model with the concept of fuzzy logic (FL). The constructed model is called Fuzzy-WFA (FWFA) ecological DSM (ecoDSM); as it considers several aspects of ecology, e.g. river condition, weather situation, and flood itself. By building the FWFA-ecoDSM, the value of uncertainty can be converted to become crisp logic that is easier to understand. At the end of this research, the FWFA-ecoDSM was implemented in more detail compared with the previous one by producing the decimal numbers with 3 until 6 numbers behind the point; exclusively, in predicting the water level status, where the status used todecide the opening/closing level decision for opening or closing the MWG.

SARS CoV-2 is a fascinating topic to investigate, especially in Indonesia and Malaysia, which share similar racial demographics. However, statistical analysis of information on the SARS CoV-2 from a database, especially GISAID, does not contain specific customizations related to virus comparisons between selected countries. Therefore, the researchers conducted statistical analysis and data visualization using the Python programming language to describe and investigate SARS CoV-2 Indonesia and Malaysia from the GISAID database. SARS CoV-2 metadata from Indonesia (N=117) and Malaysia (N=250), which were gathered during 2020, were compared. This comparison was aimed to investigate the discrepancies of COVID-19 cases in closely related populations. Firstly, data visualization was conducted using the Python Matplotlib library to create bar charts for clades and mutation comparison. Additionally, a series of boxplots were generated to show age discrepancies stratified by gender. Furthermore, the statistical tests showed that only the dominant Malaysian (G and O) clades were found to be significantly different compared to Indonesian cases (p-value=0.016). The proportion of two major mutations (G614D and NSP12 P323L) were also significantly different in the two countries caused by the dominant clade differences (p-value=0.007). Lastly, the differences in the age distribution of COVID-19 cases between the two countries were significant only in the male group (p-value=0.017).

Online Learning provides flexibility in the teaching model. Flipped learning is a learning model that combines Online Learning and Classical Learning or what is called blended learning. In flipped learning, the role of Information Communication Technology (ICT) plays an important role in the success of student engagement. The application of technology and the framework used are some success factors in flipped learning. In this study reviewing the use of ICT articles and models / frameworks in flipped learning, there are 163 articles which are further synthesized based on content and Research Questions into 41 papers. From the results of the review, there are 3 factors that are considered in flipped learning, namely cognitive aspects, ICT utilization and models / frameworks. © 2020 IEEE.
