Industry 4.0 has driven the need for Information Technology (IT) & Operational Technology (OT) convergence to modernize OT by leveraging IT. The challenges for manufacturing operations are utilizing and converting years of scattered data into valuable information integrated into the company's digital transformation strategy. This paper aims to provide a systematic literature review of current evidence in digital transformation for acquiring automation & control technologies data in manufacturing operations, such as programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control System (DCS), and Manufacturing Execution System (MES), for analytics purposes and identify the current trends and best practices in this area. The findings cover current information on influential researchers, published journals, research trends, industries, industry types, types of analytics applications, methods, and frameworks for acquiring automation & control technologies data from the legacy OT infrastructure.

Since the corona pandemic, many internet users have maximized their interactions with the internet to minimize face-to-face meetings. As a result, many collaborative filtering algorithms, which are part of recommender systems, have been optimized so that users can obtain the best results. Collaborative filtering is an approach to providing recommendations that relies on the interactions and preferences of past users. Essentially, recommendations are generated by considering how users with similar preferences and behaviors have interacted. There are two primary forms of collaborative filtering: user-user and item-item. User-user collaborative filtering suggests recommendations based on users who share similar preferences with the current user. On the other hand, item-item collaborative filtering suggests recommendations based on items that are frequently selected together by other users. Both types of collaborative filtering rely on user interaction and preference data to deliver effective results. The latest trend related to collaborative filtering involves the use of geographic information. This paper aims to map the research developments related to collaborative filtering with geographic information in recent years, including the algorithms used, implementation issues, and challenges faced. Our hope is that this research can provide an overview of where this technology is heading.

In the field of bioinformatics, the protein Post-Translational Modification (PTM) site prediction has been widely studied and Web Information Systems (WIS) has been deployed by researchers for this task. Through a literature review and benchmarking process, we identified the requirements which included quick predictions, efficient memory usage, and input validations. However, no detailed designs have been proposed so far, which may have contributed to some requirements not being implemented in some of the websites. Therefore, we propose a detailed WIS conceptual design, which can be used for predicting the sites of multiple PTM types, equipped with a validation algorithm and compared the usage of various string searching algorithms as well as file storage formats. Experiment results showed that the linear search algorithm is the fastest for this task and storing the protein data in npz format when performing multi-PTMs site prediction can assist in reducing memory usage. The proposed design can be implemented into user-friendly web tools that are both efficient in speed and memory usage in future studies. © 2022 IEEE.

This research explores multiple varieties of effective and child-friendly learning approaches for mathematics and memorization among young children in today's increasingly digital age considering their specific developmental needs. This type of approach includes in-person teaching, engaging online videos, interactive textbooks, and innovative educational games. This research employs a detailed comparative analysis, considering both ‘User Experience’ and measurable learning outcome factors, and spans a range of age groups from preschoolers to elementary school children. Through highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each method, this research aims to inspire the adoption of efficient, child-centric, and novel teaching techniques by educators and institutions, thereby advancing the quality of education in Indonesia. The results show that using serious game in education presents high usefulness score alongside positive user experience, suggesting its viability for educational purposes.

Human-computer interaction influences the effectiveness of e-learning knowledge transfer, so it is necessary to pay attention to user engagement and achievement. The aim of this research is to examine the factors that support e-learning knowledge transfer through achievement and user engagement (self-efficacy, self-confidence, self-esteem). The research method was carried out by surveying e-learning users, namely students, data from students was collected through quantitative questionnaires. The data is then processed using the SmartPLS tool through two tests, namely the PLS Algorithm and Boostrapping. The model was tested using inner and outer tests, and the data was analyzed based on the research hypothesis design. Student interactions with e-learning influence several behaviors that can support e-learning knowledge transfer performance. The research results prove that student e-learning achievement has a positive impact on e-learning knowledge transfer. Several supporting factors play a role in increasing e-learning achievement, namely self-efficacy, self-confidence and self-esteem of students. However, the supporting factors for students are only self-efficacy and self-confidence which are directly able to increase e-learning knowledge transfer. It is known that students who are less able to respect themselves in interacting with e-learning are unable to support knowledge transfer. The rules of human-computer interaction play a role in supporting e-learning knowledge transfer, studies on user behavior need to be considered, especially self-efficacy and self-confidence to support online learning academic performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The need for an early screening and computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the field of radiology is essential to realize considering the large impact of lung diseases globally. However, developing AI requires a lot of data, which is a challenge because data in the health sector tends to be limited in quantity and has disparities between diagnostic categories (data imbalance). To overcome this issue, DINO ViT models was trained with the publicly available COVID-19 Radiography Database in our previous study. The model was subsequently implemented into a web application, with this study focusing on the development of a prototype for the application. The study found this application can be useful for medical personnel and doctors in carrying out early screening and CAD. Meanwhile, it also highlighted the general unfamiliarity with AI applications among medical staff, emphasizing the need for increased education and training on AI's role in healthcare. © 2024 IEEE.

E-learning was disrupted by a new concept of education named microlearning that carried various digital learning materials in convenient learning paths that were customizable according to users' necessity by using digital application. The competitive advantage of microlearning has been published but caused ubiquitous bias definition. This study aims to identify and analyze fundamental components of existing microlearning research and implementations in e-learning platforms. 42 research articles from SCOPUS database were collected from 2018 to 2022. They were reviewed to discover fundamental components of microlearning that must be considered in its implementations. The result of this study uncovered 'Content's variety' the most fundamental components. In contrast, this study finds that advance technology is the least discussed but required in supporting specific usage of microlearning. Limitation of this study lies on the determination of database and keyword usage and the methodology. This study recommends to consider combination of microlearning components to concept a specialized microlearning for sustainable quality education. © 2023 IEEE.

The measurement of information security risk in a public sector organization is of utmost importance. This measurement serves the purpose of taking appropriate actions in response to potential risks or damaging incidents. The objective of this study is to develop a straightforward yet smart decision model capable of evaluating risks, particularly within the public sector organization. The decision support modelling (DSM) concept is employed as a framework to construct a computer model that supports decision-making in a specific case. The study comprises five stages, which are integral parts of the DSM process. These stages include analyzing the case, examining relevant documents, designing the model, constructing the model, and evaluating the finalized model. The object-oriented method serves as a fundamental approach to model design. Additionally, the fuzzy logic method, an intelligent computational technique, plays a central role in the development of this decision model. The proposed model demonstrates an average error value of 0.05 when compared to the actual risk measurement conducted. Furthermore, it reveals average risk values of 0.59 and 0.45 for the pre- and post-remediation scenarios, respectively.

Detecting fake news in the digital era is challenging due to the proliferation of misinformation. One of the crucial is-sues in this domain is the inherent class imbalance, where genuine news articles significantly outnumber fake ones. This imbalance severely hampers the performance of machine and deep learning models in accurately identifying fake news. Consequently, there is a compelling need to address this problem effectively. In this study, we delve into fake news detection and tackle the critical issue of imbalanced data. We investigate the application of Easy Data Augmentation (EDA) techniques, including back-translation, random insertion, random deletion, and random swap to mitigate the adverse effects of imbalanced data. This study focuses on employing these techniques in conjunction with a deep learning framework, specifically a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) architecture. The results of the EDA techniques will be systematically compared to see their effectiveness and their impacts on model performance. This study reveals that various EDA techniques, when coupled with a BiLSTM architecture, yield significant improvements in fake news detection. Among the experiments, it shows that Random Insertion, with an impressive accuracy rate of 81.68%, a precision score of 89.38%, and an F1-Score of 87.77% emerges as the most promising technique. The study also highlights the exceptional potential of Back-translation stands out with an 87.16% recall performance.

Addressing multiple criteria and parameter issues in computer modelling presents a significant challenge. Several factors including data types, parameter behaviours, and purposes, must be taken into account to enhance computer modelling capability; particularly in evaluation cases. Through the utilization of a multi-criteria and method approach, a decision model was effectively developed to assess a case of environmental sustainability level of a building. One method operated in the study is the curve method for handling membership function form in realizing fuzzy logic. This innovative model demonstrates superior performance. It achieves an impressive accuracy rate of 96%, surpassing the previous model that employed a trapezoidal approach to describe fuzzy membership functions hy 1%.
