Within observational Data science workloads, Berkson's paradox can lead to false causal inferences. One of the prominent quasi-experimental methods to mitigate this selection bias is Propensity Score Matching (PSM). An approach called Neural PSM (NPSM) was developed to overcome the drawbacks of conventional regression-based PSM, including its limited flexibility to model high-dimensional data and non-linear relationships that could cause imperfect covariate balance. In this study, a three-layer depth of Deep Neural Networks was designed to estimate propensity scores and finally balance both control and treatment groups of the Groupon dataset. An unsupervised k-Nearest Neighbor algorithm then helped the model to efficiently detect and cluster similar matching points. From the five salient features presented, NPSM successfully achieved lower differences in Cohen's d effect size, i.e., 0.313 for coupon duration, 0.017 for promotion length, 0.425 for quantity sold, -0.199 for limited supply, and 0.395 for Facebook likes. While these results mostly outperformed Linear Regression (LR) and Random Forest (RF) models, further evaluation is needed to verify the true effectiveness of NPSM in mitigating Berkson's paradox in broader e-commerce contexts.

In general, public or private organizations or companies have used information-based technology as a support to improve business performance to be more effective and efficient in order to achieve a company’s business goals. Given the large contribution of information technology in the application of hotel applications as a supporting information system, it is a vital system that must avoid risks that can hinder and cause harm to the hotel management business processes. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out risk management using the COBIT 5 framework to manage possible risks that may occur based on the APO12 (Manage Risk) domain. From the evaluation results of the data obtained through observation and interviews as well as the calculation of the results of the questionnaire based on 6 APO12 subdomains, the results of the risk management level capability assessment in hotel applications are still at level 3 or have reached the level of established process with the target to be achieved at level 4 resulting in a gap of 1 level. Based on the results obtained, it is necessary to propose recommendations that can be used by hotels in improving the application of information technology risk management so that in the future it can achieve the expected target level so that the APO12 level of capability can increase and become more optimal.

One application that can be utilized in finding the latest news is by utilizing the development of information and communication technology such as seeing the delivery of public information through social media such as twitter. This study implements the system which is able to get the trending or top news based on twitter data. This information will connect to the journalist via mobile application. It helps journalists to get the potential news to be reported in their media. The application will group each tweets into various themes based on the cosine similarity. The tweets which are more the certain threshold, can be indicated as the top news. The top news is then classified into one category news by using SVM algorithm. The training data becomes from the source data of one media news. The specific topic of this result will ease to order the journalist cover this top news. Enzymes are biocatalysts with vital roles in biological functions and many industrial applications. Diverse enzymes are classified using Enzyme Commission (EC) nomenclature, making differentiation challenging. On the other hand, another biological information, gene ontology (GO), can describe the biological aspects of enzymes, covering related biological processes (BP), molecular functions (MF), and their locations within cells (CC). This study proposes a novel EC class and subclass classification of enzymes within the ontology subclass based on their GO semantics using a Bidirectional Encoder Representation of Transformer (BERT). The BERT model is first fine-tuned using the preprocessed GO term name and definition, with the enzymes in each ontology class (BP, MF, or CC) are also divided based on how the GO assigned, either through manual annotation (NONIEA) or electronically inferred (IEA). BERT successfully obtained 0.93, 0.60, 0.99, 0.90, 0.40, and 0.35 F1 scores during fine-tuning for BP IEA, BP NONIEA, MF IEA, MF NONIEA, CC IEA, and CC NONIEA, respectively. On the test set, the fine-tuned BERT significantly outperformed GOntoSim, a framework to calculate semantic similarity based on classical information theory, in EC class classification across all metrics with less inference time in all ontology subclass. Expanded further to the EC subclass, BERT can classify the enzyme on the EC subclass level in BP IEA and MF IEA ontology subclass. However, longer epochs are needed in fine-tuning. This result shows that the names and definitions of GO terms are distinguishable features in classifying enzymes as an alternative to the information content approach.

The study aims to fill existing research gaps by creating a new framework that explores the impact of social media influencers on sustainable usage patterns, focusing on business sustainability as a mediating factor. In this research, non-probability judgmental and purposive sampling methods were used. Due to the size and distribution of the population, sampling was also chosen based on the researcher's own judgment and experience. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is used as the data analysis method. Path coefficient analysis yielded significant findings. Social media influencers were found to influence business sustainability significantly. Apart from that, social media influencers have a significant negative affect on sustainable usage patterns. Business sustainability also significantly influences sustainability usage patterns, with a powerful influence. This enriches the dynamics of business sustainability, proposing new knowledge about how it influences this relationship.

Artificial intelligence (AI) integration in workplaces reshapes employee engagement and organisational performance. This study investigates the combined impact of AI experience and sustainable leadership on work engagement among Indonesian employees. Using a cross-sectional survey of 301 employees in Greater Jakarta, the research employs partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyse the data. The study finds that while AI experience and sustainable leadership independently enhance work engagement, their interaction negatively affects it, highlighting the necessity for strategically aligning AI initiatives with sustainable leadership principles to optimise engagement. The methodology references several factors: validated AI experience items focusing on productivity and skill development, sustainable leadership items emphasising social and environmental responsibility, and work engagement items measuring enthusiasm and job satisfaction. The Rasch Model Analysis and person-measure analysis ensure the reliability and validity of these constructs. This study fills a significant gap in understanding the interaction between AI and leadership in enhancing work engagement, providing practical insights for managing technological and leadership dynamics in organisations.

Health education is crucial for the community, especially the younger generation, because adolescent behavior/lifestyle will carry over into adulthood, and it is difficult to change it. This paper proposes designing and implementing a mobile application for young people for healthy lifestyle education. This mobile application implemented with the android studio is designed using use case diagrams to describe the business processes of this mobile application. In addition, activity diagrams describe the process details of each activity use case, and class diagrams describe the design of the database model, which is implemented using a MySQL database. © 2022 IEEE.

Traffic Violation Detection system using radio frequency identification (RFID) has been applied to detect vehicles with limited power sources through RFID Tag. Camera sensors are also applied to identify a vehicle and its plate number through image and video processing known as computer vision. On the other hand, vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) to gain information about location, speed, and so on through the vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) connection. Lastly, the internet-of-things that is backed-up by cloud computing helps to store various information from each of these technologies and process them to get results. Many researchers have proposed and developed algorithms or technology with astonishing experimental results of them. However, there has been no review of the integration and reporting mechanism that correlates them. There has also been no review about how to connect the information to the authority and violator. Therefore, the review was made to explain each technology's method with their experiment's results and issues.
