Influence analysis of calculated horizontally layered soil parameters on grounding parameters

Calculated parameters(soil layer resistivity,soil layer thickness,and the number of soil layers)of horizontally layered soil are usually obtained based on the measured apparent resistivity under different measurement distances,which are significant for the design,operation,and maintenance of grounding *** existing calculation methods of soil parameters are just trying to make the calculation results approach the measurement data,ignoring the relationship among measurement data,the calculated soil parameters,and grounding parameters,which would increase the workload of the *** better balance the distance range of the measurement data and the influence of the calculated horizontally layered soil on grounding parameters,this paper systematically studies the relationship among measured apparent soil resistivity,calculated horizontally layered soil parameters,and grounding *** basic theories of apparent resistivity measurement,soil parameter calculation,and grounding parameter calculation are given,the influence of soil layer thickness on the measured apparent resistivity is studied,and the influence of the calculated soil parameters on the grounding resistance of different grounding models is *** on different scales of grounding grids,the results give a corresponding reference distance range of measured apparent soil ***,this paper can help decrease the workload of soil resistivity measurement during grounding parameters analysis,which has far-reaching engineering significance.

A Machine Learning Approach and Methodology for Solar Radiation Assessment Using Multispectral Satellite Images

In this paper, machine learning based method for the estimation of solar radiation in earth surface is presented. To design the machine learning model, multispectral (visible and infrared) satellite images of the very high-resolution from multiple locations are considered as primary data. The satellite images in visible and infrared bands, altitude, latitude, longitude, month, day, time, solar zenith angle, solar azimuth angle, viewing zenith angle, and viewing azimuth angle are used as input to the machine learning, while the solar radiation is taken as output variable. The paper specifics the entire procedure, including data collection, pre-processing, and feature selection, as well as the selection of the best machine learning algorithm, measurements, and validation. The impact of each input feature in estimating the solar radiation is also analyzed using correlation methods. SOLCAST datasets are used for Carcassonne city in the France. The analysis of correlations provides how variables are connected or linked. The Pearson correlation, Kendall rank correlation, Spearman correlation, and Phi K correlations are used in the present study and useful correlations exist because they allow us to anticipate future behaviour by relating the relevant parameters (such as azimuth angle, cloud capacity, dew point temp, air temp, DHI, DNI, horizontal component of beam radiation (Ebh), GHI, precipitable water, relative humidity, surface pressure, wind direction, wind speed, zenith, albedo daily). From the correlation results, neural network algorithm has been adopted using most relevant parameters to validate the results. Researchers and scientists may use the method to build high-efficiency solar devices like solar power plants and photovoltaic cells. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The purpose of this project is to create a psychometric test that will identify a student’s skills and suggest career possibilities for them. They gain a good idea of their personality and the appropriate employment for them. It aids in understanding a person’s personality, interests, and ability in both professionals and students. Students can better understand their strengths and limitations thanks to this assessment. The traditional retail experience for purchasing watches lacks the interactivity and personalization that modern consumers seek. With the increasing shift towards online shopping platforms, there is a growing demand for an engaging and immersive virtual experience that allows customers to explore and try on watches. The absence of expert guidance during the online shopping process often results in less informed decision-making. To address these challenges, WRISTVIEW presents an innovative solution that integrates augmented reality (AR) and a conversational Generative AI (GENAI) chatbot. The AR component enables users to virtually try on watches, providing a realistic and interactive experience. The GENAI chatbot enhances this experience by offering expert advice, answering queries, and guiding users through the watch shopping journey, thereby creating a more personalized and informative shopping process. The objective of this research is to bridge the gap between the traditional in-store watch shopping experience and the online environment, ensuring that customers can make well-informed and satisfying purchase decisions in a virtual setting. The development, implementation, and potential impact of combining AR and GENAI technologies to transform the online watch shopping experience are discussed. © 2024 IEEE.

In the realm of autonomous driving, traffic sign recognition (TSR) is of utmost importance since it is crucial to the ability of driverless cars to read and understand both permanent and roadside temporary signs that are displayed. This study's primary objective is to develop a comprehensive convolution neural network (CNN) and Densenet201 traffic sign recognition system. The successful implementation of such a system is crucial for the progress of autonomous driving technology, as it significantly contributes to enhancing road safety. We intend to precisely recognize and classify traffic signs by utilizing the strength of a pre-trained Densenet201 model, famous for delivering cutting-edge performance in image recognition applications. We used data augmentation approaches to strengthen the model's robustness and enhance its generalization skills while optimizing it using a large dataset comprising traffic sign photos. Python and the Tensorflow deep learning framework serves as the backbone of our proposed system. By utilizing a publicly available traffic sign dataset, we trained and evaluate our system's performance, and subsequently,compared it against cutting-edge methods. The desired result is a very efficient system for recognizing traffic signs that has a chance to drastically lower road accidents brought on by human error and raise overall road safety. © 2024 IEEE.

An online auction is an auction as similar to an in-person auction but it is held over the Internet. It is an easy and a popular way to buy and sell products and services using cryptocurrency. Online auctions have grown to be a significant contributor to the e-commerce sector. But there exist some problems that concerns data integrity, legitimacy and traceability of bidding. The proposed system is an auction platform based on Ethereum smart contracts which are stored in Blockchain. An auction in a decentralized network, powered by blockchain technology eliminates the need for a middleman and the high costs associated with bidding and buying in an auction. Decentralized applications increase the transparency and flexibility of applications. The intricate nature of blockchain technology and the challenges associated with its integration require specialized knowledge that differs from the conventional approach to application development. © 2024, CRC Press/Balkema. Fake news misleads people and may lead to real-world miscommunication and injury. Removing misinformation encourages critical thinking, democracy, and the prevention of hatred, fear, and misunderstanding. Identifying and removing fake news and developing a detection system is essential for reliable, accurate, and clear information. Therefore, a shared task was organized to detect fake news in Malayalam. This paper presents a system developed for the shared task of detecting and classifying fake news in Malayalam. The approach involves a combination of machine learning models (LR, DT, RF, MNB), deep learning models (CNN, BiLSTM, CNN+BiLSTM), and transformer-based models (Indic-BERT, XLM-R, Malayalam-BERT, m-BERT) for both sub-tasks. The experimental results demonstrate that transformer-based models, specifically m-BERT and Malayalam-BERT, outperformed others. The m-BERT model achieved superior performance in subtask 1 with macro F1-scores of 0.84, and Malayalam-BERT outperformed the other models in subtask 2 with macro F1-scores of 0.496, securing us the 5th and 2nd positions in subtask 1 and subtask 2, respectively. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Warehouses and product showrooms need competent strategies for ensuring that the products are accessible on demand. Optimization of inventory levels and efficient management can be implemented using machine learning algorithms. The proposed work optimizes the inventory and minimizes the stock outs, overstock and the needed stock for efficient stock management. To predict the amount of stock needed over the 90 days, a prediction model called using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) is proposed. To ensure accurate results and accuracy an organized workflow has been set to handle the algorithms development, testing and prediction operations and obtains the accuracy result with Mean Squared Error from 0 to 1. Manufacturers can boost productivity, improve inventory levels and quickly adapt to changing customer needs by putting this predictive model into effect. Overall, this analysis allows enterprises to keep adequate stock levels which leads to consistent revenue and customer satisfaction. © 2024 IEEE.

The Internet of Things refers to actual objects or items that have been integrated with sensors, algorithms, and a few other technologies to exchange information with other devices and networks online (IoT). As IOT devices are publicly available to everyone on the network, it is required to be conscious of security risks and dangers posed by cyberattacks;as a result, it should be guarded. Plain information is changed to encrypted information in cryptography before being delivered, and it is then converted back to plain text after receiving a response from the recipient. Steganography is the practice of encoding hidden information into an audio, video, picture, or text file. In this project, it is suggested that IoT network data be encrypted using cryptography, and that the encrypted message be concealed somewhere in a digital image through steganography.
