Partitional clustering techniques such as K-Means(KM),Fuzzy C-Means(FCM),and Rough K-Means(RKM)are very simple and effective techniques for image ***,because their initial cluster centers are randomly determined,it is often seen that certain clusters converge to local *** addition to that,pathology image segmentation is also problematic due to uneven lighting,stain,and camera settings during the microscopic image capturing ***,this study proposes an Improved Slime Mould Algorithm(ISMA)based on opposition based learning and differential evolution’s mutation strategy to perform illumination-free White Blood Cell(WBC)*** ISMA helps to overcome the local optima trapping problem of the partitional clustering techniques to some *** paper also performs a depth analysis by considering only color components of many well-known color spaces for clustering to find the effect of illumination over color pathology image *** and visual results encourage the utilization of illumination-free or color component-based clustering approaches for image ***-KM and“ab”color channels of CIELab color space provide best results with above-99%accuracy for only nucleus ***,for entire WBC segmentation,ISMA-KM and the“CbCr”color component of YCbCr color space provide the best results with an accuracy of above 99%.Furthermore,ISMA-KM and ISMA-RKM have the lowest and highest execution times,*** the other hand,ISMA provides competitive outcomes over CEC2019 benchmark test functions compared to recent well-established and efficient Nature-Inspired Optimization Algorithms(NIOAs).

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the education system in India has changed to remote that is, online study mode. Though there are works on the effect of teaching learning on Indian students, the effect of online mode and associated mental state, particularly when the entire country is going through a crisis could not be found in the literature. Our goal is to analyze data and find some pattern through which we can understand the effectiveness of the online study and also try to figure out the stress level. The dataset we collected from 500 undergraduate college students during April-May, 2021 is in questionnaire format. Our contribution in this paper are - (i) publishing a dataset of student feedbacks, and (ii) designing a data processing pipeline involving autoencoders followed by clustering approach. The dataset is in text format so for our analysis we have converted the dataset into a numerical format using the concept of a binary bag of words. Dimensionality reduction is applied through autoencoder for an effective latent space representation. Finally, for finding patterns out of this dimensionally reduced feature space, we have applied unsupervised learning algorithms - kMeans and DBSCAN. A thorough analysis of the clustering process reveals that the absence of social communication in purely online education provokes isolation irrespective of the urban or rural background of the students. However, it could supplement offline classes as a substantial number of students welcomed the concept of online learning as reported in the data. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Background: The synthesis of reversible logic has gained prominence as a crucial research area, particularly in the context of post-CMOS computing devices, notably quantum computing. Objective: To implement the bitonic sorting circuit, 2x2 switch, is used. The overarching objective of implementing a reversible sorting circuit is to mitigate power consumption while promising secure communication. The successful implementation of the bitonic sorting circuit utilizing the proposed 2x2 switch is validated through simulations conducted in IBM Qiskit. Methods: This study begins by employing the control swap gate to implement a 2x2 switch, aimed at enabling concurrent computing operations within multiprocessor systems to enhance throughput. Subsequently, following the successful implementation of the 2x2 switch, the study proceeds to design a bitonic sorting circuit. Results: Bitonic sort using a 2x2 switch on the IBM Quantum Experience (IBMQ) platform via the QISKit SDK in Python 3.6. Specifically, Qiskit v0.29.0 is utilized, with OpenQASM. OpenQASM serves as the quantum assembly and instruction language. Conclusion: This work presents a methodology for constructing a 2x2 switch, utilizing a reversible control swap gate as its core component. Additionally, it demonstrates the intricate development and implementation of a bitonic sorting circuit, capitalizing on this innovative switch architecture. © 2025 Bentham science Publishers.

In this research paper researchers have analyzed the data in the form of sentiments of the two most popular prime ministers of India Dr. Manmohan Singh and Mr. Narendra Modi. By this analysis, researchers can check the impact of their words on the people of India. For analyzing the sentiments researchers have used tools such as TextBlob, VADER, and Sentiment Intensity Analyzer, and for checking the occurrence frequency of words word cloud is used. © 2024 IEEE.

Major deaths (55% or 1.5 million) of LRI (Lower Respiratory Infections) are caused due to Pneumococcal pneumonia. LRI is the 5th highest cause of demise as mentioned by the Global Burden of Disease Study 2015. Health organization suffers from a lack of Physicians. A Physician handles so many cases which leads to misdiagnoses. To resolve all these issues we came up with an easy-to-handle, and implemented in health organizations, the CNN model. The main aim of this model is to help the healthcare professionals by providing them with a tool which will help them detect Pneumococcal pneumonia. With the help of this tool, the work strain of a doctor can be reduced. This model is developed without any pre-trained model and for better accuracy, an immense dataset is used. All the X-ray images were pre processed before being introduced to the neural network. Different layers have been used to make the model more precise and make it adaptable for X-ray images under different conditions. The aim is to combine deep learning concepts with healthcare to make a positive and meaningful impact in the healthcare industry. © 2024 IEEE.

The early detection of oral malignancy by physicians is a strenuous task. The analysis of histopathological oral malignancy images using image processing and deep learning techniques can be an add-on facility for doctors to diagnose oral cancer. In this work, a deep learning model is used, designing a modified Xception net with swish activation function and generalised mean pool for the detection of oral malignancy. To prove the superiority of the model, three stages of comparative analysis are carried out. In the first stage, the model is compared with a few advanced models explicitly Alexnet, Resnet50, Resnet101, VGG16, VGG19, Inception net and original Xception. In the second stage, loss and accuracy graphs analysis is done and in the third stage, the proposed model’s accuracy is compared with other model’s accuracy available in the literature. It is found that the modified Xception net got upgraded performance by an accuracy of 98.97%. Copyright © 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Online cooking instructions including ingredient lists and cooking methods are now widely available due to the proliferation of recipe sharing websites. Finding novel and complex patterns in such vast, ambiguous categorical data sets is a crucial task. Conventional clustering analysis algorithms frequently fail to address the uncertainty surrounding the exact value of features found in these categorical data sets. Thus to aid in decision-making, rough set based clustering is frequently used. This study aims to identify the optimal clustering feature from the recipe data that will result in the grouping of related food products by applying the rough purity notion. The recipe data has been regarded as a categorical valued information system in this instance, and information theoretic attribute purity is taken into account using the rough purity technique. © 2024 IEEE.

Cuisine data is typically classified using images of the cuisine, cooking methods, cooking utensils, and, most importantly, ingredients. The vast amount of recipe data available on the internet necessitates the creation of specialised systems for storing, retrieving, and effectively utilising stored knowledge and data. Neural networks based expert systems are steadily being used to classify the cuisine data. But it lacks in dealing the vagueness present in the categorical cuisine data. Also, most of the popular recipes available online are mostly unhealthy. As a result, the Bijective soft set theory has been introduced into this study since it is an intelligent method for developing classification rules from food data and then recognising ambiguity and data reliance. The classification guidelines also address the necessity to select healthy/nutritious meals. The investigation outcomes from using bijective soft set analysis to a set of data samples are presented and appraised in this work. Furthermore, the classification rules derived from this approach provides valuable help for developing food recommendation systems. The accuracy of this classification scheme has got really influenced by application of the bijective soft set when compared to other state-of-the-art classifiers. ©2024 IEEE.

Sybil attacks pose a significant threat to the security and integrity of online social networks by allowing malicious actors to create multiple fake identities to manipulate network behavior. The abstract outlines a method for detecting Sybil attacks in online social networks using graph analysis. It involves constructing a graph representation of the network, calculating node centrality measures such as in-degree and out-degree, and setting a degree threshold to identify potentially malicious nodes. Additional parameters like clustering coefficient and community structure are also considered to improve detection accuracy. The proposed approach aims to enhance the security of online social networks by identifying and isolating Sybil identities, thus preserving network integrity and trustworthiness. The authors' firmly assert that employing graph-based theory for Sybil node detection in online social networks stands out as one of the most effective methods. This approach not only offers robustness but also scalability, allowing for efficient detection even in large-scale networks. With its ability to unveil intricate relationships, anomalies, and patterns within the network, graph-based theory emerges as a cornerstone in the fight against Sybil attacks. © 2024 IEEE.

The apple industry faces significant economic losses due to diseases and pests, contributing to low productivity levels. Detecting apple diseases promptly is essential for controlling their spread and improving overall productivity. However, early identification and diagnosis of these diseases are challenging due to various factors. In this work, we evaluated the performance of three distinct models: a custom CNN, Xception, and Resnet152V2. These models were tested on an expert-annotated dataset of apple diseases, comprising approximately 1821 high-quality RGB images across different categories of following types: C1: scab affected apple, C2: cedar apple affected by rust, C3: diseases of complex nature, and C4 samples of healthy apples. The custom CNN based proposed model trained for 50 epochs could yield an approximate accuracy of around 95%. © 2024 IEEE.
