Conservation of the energy available in each sensor node and increasing network lifetime are most important design issues for a wireless sensor network(WSN). Many routing algorithms have been developed in this regard. Out of all these, clustering algorithms have gained a lot of importance in increasing the network lifetime thereby the efficiency of the nodes in it. Clustering provides an effective way for prolonging the lifetime of WSN. This paper elaborately compares the two renowned routing protocols namely, LEACH and EAMMH supported by simulations scenarios, and analysis of the results against known metrics with energy and network lifetime being major among them.

Since the cost of RFID tags reducing constantly, the scale of its applications enlarges in industries and extends to various fields in our daily work and life. However, due to the openness of RFID, it owns a high attack risk when applied. This paper presents a model based on AES and ECC, which can protect users' privacy and implement access controls. This model takes advantage of both the virtues of a symmetric encryption algorithm and asymmetric encryption algorithm, encrypting AES key with ECC and empowering the client to encrypt system's ECC public key by using an ECC private key.

Sc 2 O 3 doped W nano-powder is believed to play a dominant role for improving emission capabilities of the high current density thermionic cathodes. In this study a novel nano-particle synthesis approach was adopted in order to precisely control the particle parameters. The particle characteristics and sintering behavior has been analyzed using SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD and XPS. Uniform grain size with average particle diameter~50 nm, spherical morphology, uniform phase and homogeneous mixing of Sc 2 O 3 doped W nano-powder was obtain which will enhance the emission current density, emission uniformity and life of the cathode.

Studying genomes continues to be beneficial for evolutionary discover, and prognosticating/diagnosing many genetic disorders and diseases. Most of the these studies have used systems that view the DNA in a linear structure, but having this information is only a small part of fully understanding what they can reveal. Visualizing genomes in real time 3D can give researchers more insight, but this is fraught with hardware limitations. Each element contains vast amounts of information that cannot be processed at once. Measuring a weak force is an important task for micromechanical systems, both when using devices as sensitive detectors and, particularly, in experiments of quantum mechanics. The optimal strategy for resolving a weak stochastic signal force on a huge background (typically given by thermal noise) is a crucial and debated topic, and the stability of the mechanical resonance is a further, related critical issue. We introduce and analyze the parametric control of the optical spring, which allows us to stabilize the resonance and provides a phase reference for the oscillator motion, yet conserving a free evolution in one quadrature of the phase space. We also study quantitatively the characteristics of our micro-optomechanical system as detector of stochastic force for short measurement times (for quick, high-resolution monitoring) as well as for the longer-term observations that optimize the sensitivity. We compare a simple strategy based on the evaluation of the variance of the displacement which is a widely used technique) with an optimal Wiener-Kolmogorov data analysis. We show that, due to the parametric stabilization of the effective susceptibility, we can more efficiently implement Wiener filtering, and we investigate how this strategy improves the performance of our system. We finally demonstrate the possibility to resolve stochastic force variations well below 1% of the thermal noise.

Monthly counts of filament numbers in the time interval of 1954 April to 2010 June are proposed to determine their phase asynchrony between the solar northern and southern hemispheres by using advanced wavelet transforms. Both the cross-wavelet transform and wavelet coherence analyses show asynchronous behaviour with strong phase mixing in the high-frequency components of hemispheric flare activity, and strong synchronous behaviour with coherent phase angles in the low-frequency components, corresponding to the period-scales around the 11-year Schwabe cycle. This study shows that the wavelet transforms techniques for the hemispheric phase analysis of solar time series is fairly useful.
