IoT has emerged as a game-changing technology that connects numerous gadgets to networks for communication, processing, and real-time monitoring across diverse applications. Due to their heterogeneous nature and constrained resources, as well as the growing trend of using smart gadgets, there are privacy and security issues that are not adequately managed by conventional security measures. This review offers a thorough analysis of contemporary AI solutions designed to enhance security within IoT ecosystems. The intersection of AI technologies, including ML, and blockchain, with IoT privacy and security is systematically examined, focusing on their efficacy in addressing core security issues. The methodology involves a detailed exploration of existing literature and research on AI-driven privacy-preserving security mechanisms in IoT. The reviewed solutions are categorized based on their ability to tackle specific security challenges. The review highlights key advancements, evaluates their practical applications, and identifies prevailing research gaps and challenges. The findings indicate that AI solutions, particularly those leveraging ML and blockchain, offer promising enhancements to IoT privacy and security by improving threat detection capabilities and ensuring data integrity. This paper highlights how AI technologies might strengthen IoT privacy and security and offer suggestions for upcoming studies intended to address enduring problems and improve the robustness of IoT networks. A Post-Stroke Rehabilitation System With Compensatory Movement Detection Using Virtual Reality and Electroencephalogram Technologies

Stroke is a leading cause of global population mortality and disability, imposing burdens on patients and caregivers, and significantly affecting the quality of life of patients. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to explore the application of virtual reality technology in physical therapy by using immersive interactive training and designing rehabilitation modes for individual and group settings. We also aimed to provide patients with stroke with a comprehensive home-based rehabilitation and treatment plan, ultimately enhancing training effectiveness. Patients can engage in home-based rehabilitation through this system and undergo functional, mirror, and constraint-induced therapies tailored to different task contents. Simultaneously, using brain-computer interface technology, an emotion analysis mechanism was designed to map the patients' brainwave signal data onto a two-dimensional space of positive-negative valence arousal;this approach can enable remote physical therapists to discern the patients' emotional states during the rehabilitation process through virtual spaces, facilitating timely adjustments to rehabilitation tasks. Moreover, to prevent compromised effectiveness owing to improper training postures leading to compensation, the system offers real-time identification and recording, promptly issuing alerts when compensation occurs. The system provides a multiuser virtual rehabilitation space, enabling timely corrections and data observations, offering patients with stroke a home-based rehabilitation program, thereby realizing a localized aging care model. © 2013 IEEE.

Effective data communication is a crucial aspect of the Social Internet of Things(SIoT)and continues to be a significant research *** paper proposes a data forwarding algorithm based on Multidimensional Social Relations(MSRR)in SIoT to solve this *** proposed algorithm separates message forwarding into intra-and cross-community forwarding by analyzing interest traits and social connections among *** new metrics are defined:the intensity of node social relationships,node activity,and community *** the community,messages are sent by determining which node is most similar to the sender by weighing the strength of social connections and node *** a node performs cross-community forwarding,the message is forwarded to the most reasonable relay community by measuring the node activity and the connection between *** proposed algorithm was compared to three existing routing algorithms in simulation *** indicate that the proposed algorithmsubstantially improves message delivery efficiency while lessening network overhead and enhancing connectivity and coordination in the SIoT context.

Vehicle Identity Anonymity Framework with Accountability for VANET Environment

In recent years, there has been rapid development in vehicle safety technology, with the emergence of various active safety systems including blind spot information systems, adaptive cruise control, and front collision warning systems. Simultaneously, car manufacturers and technology companies are actively exploring technologies in the realm of autonomous driving. To facilitate such applications, vehicles are required to communicate with each other, exchanging vital information such as position, speed, and acceleration. However, this exchange of information poses a potential risk of drivers’ personal data being compromised. For safety purposes, vehicles must undergo appropriate authentication before engaging in communication with other vehicles. Ensuring this authentication process maintains the anonymity of the vehicles is crucial. Yet, striking a balance between protecting vehicle anonymity and enabling vehicle identification when necessary remains a challenging issue. This paper introduces a multi-tier Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) framework designed to uphold the conditional anonymity and traceability of vehicles. The implementation of a group signature mechanism facilitates anonymous authentication, thereby enabling the realization of conditional anonymity and traceability. Moreover, comprehensive simulations and security analyses were conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed framework, demonstrating its efficiency while incorporating robust safety considerations. © 2024 Taiwan Academic Network Management Committee. Cooperative-Guided Ant Colony Optimization with Knowledge Learning for Job Shop Scheduling Problem

With the advancement of the manufacturing industry,the investigation of the shop floor scheduling problem has gained increasing *** Job shop Scheduling Problem(JSP),as a fundamental scheduling problem,holds considerable theoretical research ***,finding a satisfactory solution within a given time is difficult due to the NP-hard nature of the JSP.A co-operative-guided ant colony optimization algorithm with knowledge learning(namely KLCACO)is proposed to address this *** algorithm integrates a data-based swarm intelligence optimization algorithm with model-based JSP schedule knowledge.A solution construction scheme based on scheduling knowledge learning is proposed for *** problem model and algorithm data are fused by merging scheduling and planning knowledge with individual scheme construction to enhance the quality of the generated individual solutions.A pheromone guidance mechanism,which is based on a collaborative machine strategy,is used to simplify information learning and the problem space by collaborating with different machine processing ***,the KLCACO algorithm utilizes the classical neighborhood structure to optimize the solution,expanding the search space of the algorithm and accelerating its *** KLCACO algorithm is compared with other highperformance intelligent optimization algorithms on four public benchmark datasets,comprising 48 benchmark test cases in *** effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in addressing JSPs is validated,demonstrating the feasibility of the KLCACO algorithm for knowledge and data fusion in complex combinatorial optimization problems.

Stock Indexes Community Identification Using BAT-Modified Optimization Algorithm

Stock price accelerates interest and preference of the young generation to explore the stock market with elicit interest. An autopilot system is needed where users choose beneficial stocks of their choice without paying attention to the manual inspection or implication. This study aims to form highly correlated stock communities based on fluctuations in stock price which will be helpful in the prediction and decision-making of users about their expenditure in the stock market. For the enormous volume of stock price time series data, the opted data representation method is the network which is generated with the help of a data statistical correlation test. Another research challenge was to detect the community in an optimized manner due to complex stock networks. For the same, BAT optimization algorithm and a proposed BAT-modified (BAT-M) algorithm are applied for complex stock network community formation. The better community formation results showcase that BAT-M gives better performance in comparison to the standard BAT algorithm on various performance evaluation factors. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

A Novel Approach for Optimal Cluster Identification and N-Order Hesitation Based Time Series Forecasting

Time series forecasting is an important field of research, especially when the series is completely random, known as a strictly non-stationary time series (NS-TS). To handle the randomness efficiently, the paper presents a novel approach to identify the optimal number of clusters in NS-TS followed by a hesitation-based N-order IFS forecasting algorithm (called IFSH_new). The performance of the proposed approach for determining the optimal number of clusters is demonstrated using four variants of the proposed algorithm, IFSH_new, across five datasets. Furthermore, a comparison of the best variant of the proposed approach with existing state-of-art work based on mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and root mean square error (RMSE) confirms the superiority of the proposed model over others. Additionally, the graphical representation of actual versus forecasted data points for different datasets shows good improvement at high change points compared to other approaches. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The medical domain faces unique challenges in information Retrieval (IR) due to the complexity of medical language and terminology discrepancies between user queries and documents. While traditional Keyword-Based Methods (KBM) have limitations, the integration of semantic knowledge bases and concept mapping techniques enhances data organization and retrieval. Addressing the growing demands in the biomedical field, a novel medical information Retrieval System (IRS) is proposed that employs Deep Learning (DL) and KBM. This system comprises five core steps: pre-processing of texts, document indexing using DL (ELMo) and KBM, advanced query processing, a BiLSTM-based retrieval network for contextual representation, and a KR-R re-ranking algorithm to refine document relevance. The purpose of the system is to give users improved biomedical search results through the integration of all of these techniques into a method that takes into consideration the semantic problems of medical records. An in-depth examination of the TREC-PM track samples from 2017 to 2019 observed an impressive leading MRR score of 0.605 in 2017 and a best-in-class rPrec score of 0.350 in 2019, proving how well able the system is to detect and rank relevant medical records accurately. © 2024 – IOS Press.
