- Underwater image enhancement has been employed in a variety of areas, such as terrain scanning, underwater microscopic detection, telecommunication cables, mine detection, and autonomous underwater vehicles. However, underwater imagery suffers from strong scattering, noise, color distortion, and absorption from artificial light sources, causing haziness, image blur, and a greenish or bluish texture. To address these issues, the proposed work introduces a new enhancement approach based on Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) used for images taken underwater. The proposed method employs CLAHE to adaptively enhance local contrast while constraining the amplification of noise and artifacts. The fusion method is proposed to enhance the complementary advantages of different color spaces in YIQ and HSI color models. The YIQ color space separates intensity from chrominance, allowing for independent processing of luminance information, which is crucial for preserving image details and contrast. The proposed algorithm improves low-contrast underwater images with intact color and a natural appearance with reliability according to the results of the qualitative analysis. The proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in terms of image performance measures like GMSD, VSI, MCSD, and PSNR. ©2024 IEEE.

Natural language processing (NLP) is becoming more and more vital in extracting significant insights from diverse varieties of textual records. Current trends in AI and device mastering have made it viable to extract tangible insights from natural language facts. NLP is becoming increasingly famous and is used in many areas, which include sentiment analysis and extracting topics from one-of-a-kind textual content kinds. NLP algorithms may interpret diverse fabrics by removing fundamental systems and styles from the statistics. This can assist in picking out the underlying context of the textual content, and by studying unstructured information, influential trends and insights may be located. Furthermore, NLP can automatically generate summaries of prolonged files, categorize textual content to unique subjects, and translate exclusive languages. In conclusion, NLP is a precious tool for extracting significant insights from textual facts. © 2023 IEEE.

Virtual Reality (VR) has been incorporated in almost every possible application domain, but majority of the online shopping platforms are providing their customers only simple two-dimensional image-based and text-based interfaces to shop upon. This kind of monotonous shopping environment not only makes consumers lose their interest in shopping but also restricts personalized services to consumers such as providing healthier alternatives to the products or providing with suggestions based on their past shopping pattern [1]. Keeping these issues in mind the prototype of a VR based game 'Virtual Bazar' is proposed which allows its users to shop in a Virtual Reality supermarket environment. The proposed model keeps a check on the Calorie requirements set by the user, shows Nutritional information of products and create awareness for Healthier Products. It consists of two runs, in the first run users add items to their cart based on their desires with no warnings and nutritional values being shown. In the second run users are shown Nutritional information regarding products along with warnings on products having high Sugar or Carbohydrate values and with these suggestions the user again adds items to the cart. Based on the items of the two shopping lists, separate scores are calculated and analyzed. 50 different people within the age bracket of 20-35 years have played this game and ANNOVA Test has been performed on the scores obtained by these players. The results suggest that the players were benefited by the game as they learnt to choose healthier products. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents the development and implementation of an innovative rover, designed for versatile terrestrial navigation and controlled through a custom mobile application. The rover’s design is inspired by the Rocker Bogie Mechanism, a robust suspension system renowned for its effectiveness in NASA’s Mars exploration rovers. This mechanism ensures adaptability to varied terrains, enhancing the rover’s operational flexibility. The core of the system is powered by a Raspberry Pi 4, serving as the central hub for integrating various hardware components and enabling seamless communication between the rover and its controlling mobile application, developed using MIT App Inventor. A significant aspect of this project is the incorporation of Human Action Recognition (HAR) capabilities, achieved through the implementation of Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). This feature introduces a novel approach to rover control and interaction, expanding its potential applications in remote exploration and monitoring tasks. Furthermore, the system boasts live camera streaming functionality, utilizing Flask for server-side operations and NGROK for secure port forwarding. This allows for real-time video feed access over the internet, thus facilitating global operational capabilities. The integration of these technologies into a single coherent system not only demonstrates the feasibility of advanced control mechanisms in unmanned ground vehicles, but also sets a precedent for future innovations in remote exploration and surveillance. The potential applications of this technology span a wide range of fields, from environmental monitoring to search and rescue operations, underscoring its importance in the advancement of autonomous vehicle technologies. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

In recent years, industries have experienced significant changes in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication can enhance the safety of vehicles by signaling other vehicles using blockchain technology. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication has become increasingly important due to the frequent occurrence of traffic accidents and the close sharing of data in today's information age. In view of the importance of blockchain technology for vehicle-to-vehicle communication, the development trend of blockchain technology is first analyzed, and the necessity of vehicle-to-vehicle communication is further elaborated so as to analyze the commonly used blockchain communication technologies. Then, the development and future of Telematics and the scalability of vehicle collaboration technology are elaborated. Then, the existing blockchain and Telematics communication combined technologies are discussed to ensure intelligent transportation and secure communication for vehicular communication. Finally, the future research directions of blockchain vehicular communication are summarized and outlooked. ©2023 IEEE.

Decision making framework for heterogeneous QoS information: an application to cloud service selection

In recent times, appropriate decision-making in challenging and critical situations has been very well supported by multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. The technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is the most widely used MCDM method for solving decision problems. However, it restricts decision-makers to use only one type of Quality of Service (QoS) information, and it suffers from the rank reversal problem. Restriction to only one type of QoS makes the decision problems more challenging, as it restricts the decision-makers freedom. Further, the rank reversal problem makes the decision result unreliable. To address these issues of TOPSIS, we have proposed a reliable rank reversal robust modular TOPSIS (RMo-TOPSIS). RMo-TOPSIS allows crisp, interval, fuzzy, intuitionistic and neutrosophic fuzzy QoS metrics. It does not suffer from the rank reversal problem. Cloud computing provides computing services on-demand basis without involving maintenance by its users. The availability of many cloud service providers and their services makes cloud service selection a challenging problem. To validate RMo-TOPSIS, we select the cloud service selection consisting of different types of QoS metrics as an application. Experiments on cloud service selection show consistency and accuracy in results obtained by RMo-TOPSIS and its robustness against rank reversal. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Those magnetic linkages might eventually replace conventional buses in micro-grids due to recent developments in switching devices and material with magnetic properties. By varying the windings' turn ratio in response to the source voltage level, multilinking transistors (MWTs) function as efficient magnetic connections and cut down on the overall number of converter stages within solar power plants. Benefits of this method include instantaneous power transmission across many ports, two-way power transfer capabilities, and isolation from the environment. Notwithstanding these advantages, cross-coupling issues and structural complexity make MWT design and characterization challenging. The processes of numerical design, prototypes, and measurement of a MWT over microgrid systems are described in detail in this study. In order to minimize computing time and achieve adequate accuracy in reaching target parameters, a resistant network approach is used in the course of design. Amorphous Polymers magnetic compounds are used for the prototype something, and the magnetic properties of the core are measured by a battery of scientific experiments. Its parameters are determined by using both open-circuit testing and series coupling tests. An extensive cross-check of simulation and experimental data at different loads in the medium region confirms the efficiency of the development and modeling methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) are online platforms which are used for teaching and learning. There are many VLEs available for the students in the market that are helpful for them to study and learn online. These VLEs make use of latest technologies and features like accessing the course material, submitting the assignments, attending live lectures, viewing recorded lectures etc. Unfortunately, for Visually Impaired (VI) students these environments do not possess alternative features like voice feedback and voice commands that would help them operate the application, disabling VIs to make benefit from such applications. So, to eradicate this gap this paper proposes a solution that provides enhancements to accessibility issues, content and navigation that confront the visually impaired, in its implemented mobile-based application. The solution proposed is expected to assist the VIs and contribute to the society. Only the key features for assisting the VIs are presented in this paper. The system implemented different modules for class management and accessibility. It provides text-to-speech integration and voice command controls. © 2022 IEEE.

Owing to the ability of reconfiguring wireless channels, intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) can help non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) to release its tremendous potential. However, the inter-user interference becomes the bottleneck of IRS-NOMA networks. To tackle this challenge, we propose two constructive interference precoding (CIP) based countermeasures for interference exploitation in IRS-NOMA networks. Specifically, the first scheme makes the interference from higher-order users (HUs) be constructive to lower-order users (LUs), so that the interference-free decoding can be achieved. While the second scheme utilizes the interference from LUs for the signal reception of HUs to avoid successive interference cancellation (SIC). The transmit power is mini-mized by jointly optimizing the BS active and the IRS passive beamformings for the two schemes. To solve each scheme, we apply successive convex approximation (SCA) and alternating optimization (AO) algorithm. Simulation results are presented to show the superiority and applicability of the proposed schemes compared to benchmarks. © 2024 IEEE.

Digital Image Processing (DIP) is the ability to manipulate digital photographs via algorithms for pattern detection, segmentation, enhancement, and noise reduction. In addition, the Internet of Things (IoT) acts as the eye and system for all DIP in various applications. It can possess a camera or another image sensor in order to capture real-time data from its environment. All vital data is processed by image processing in such a way that it recognizes the object, detects an anomaly, and automatically decides in real-time. In addition, in an IoT system, the median filter is the technique used for noise reduction by substituting the value of the pixel with the central value of the surrounding pixels. It provides speed and efficiency for quick analysis in all IoT systems. However, the images can get corrupted, especially in resource-constrained IoT devices with small cameras, because of random glitches. Moreover, using new quantum technology like atomic-scale silicon dangling bond (DB) logic circuits, which have advanced in fabrication and become a strong contender for field-coupled nano-computing, can solve previous problems in IoT systems. In this paper, we propose a unique quantum CSM based on two new proposed Mux and De-mux. The proposed CSM can be used for computational circuits like median filter circuits (MFC) in a wide range of digital circuits, specifically IoT devices. The proposed design is verified and validated using the powerful SiQAD tool. When comparing CSM to the newest designs, the suggested quantum circuit uses 85% less energy and takes up 61% less area. © 2014 IEEE.
