Among the plethora of IoT(Internet of Things)applications,the smart home is one of the ***,the rapid development of the smart home has also made smart home systems a target for ***,researchers have made many efforts to investigate and enhance the security of smart home *** a more secure smart home ecosystem,we present a detailed literature review on the security of smart home ***,we categorize smart home systems’security issues into the platform,device,and communication *** exploring the research and specific issues in each of these security areas,we summarize the root causes of the security flaws in today's smart home systems,which include the heterogeneity of internal components of the systems,vendors'customization,the lack of clear responsibility boundaries and the absence of standard security ***,to better understand the security of smart home systems and potentially provide better protection for smart home systems,we propose research directions,including automated vulnerability mining,vigorous security checking,and data-driven security analysis.

The usage of machine learning and deep learning algorithms have necessitated Artificial Intelligence'. AI is aimed at automating things by limiting human interference. It is widely used in IT, healthcare, finance, and agriculture. It is achieved through several deep learning algorithms that reflect the human brain's intelligence. These AI algorithms can be manipulated according to changing needs and improved efficiency. This paper tries to utilize the developments made in AI technology to classify the images and recognize the objects present in them. One widely used AI algorithm is CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks). The CNN is a deep learning-based algorithm that consists of various layers that extract and filters the parameters present in the images. Some additional layers of ResNet50 and the CNN algorithm are used to extract the parameters to improve image recognition accuracy. The image dataset taken for training and testing the proposed model is imageNet. The images are initially processed before sending them to the proposed model. The proposed model is trained, validated, and tested through the images obtained after the initial processing. The same process is repeated several times until getting the maximum accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model in terms of image recognition is recorded. The obtained results are compared with other image classification algorithms like VGG16 and VGG19. It is concluded that the proposed model outperforms other traditional methods in terms of accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

This study presents a framework for multimodal models to control and interact with computers: The Multimodal-driven computer Interface. A decision-making module is used by the framework to determine what actions are acceptable after it processes user input through a variety of modalities, such as speech, text, and gestures, and runs it through a multimodal fusion algorithm. Platform-specific APIs are then used to carry out these operations on the computer. It runs on Linux, Mac, and Windows platforms and is currently integrated with the multimodal LLM. Although the framework shows promising results, there are still issues with adjusting to different user demands and preferences and increasing the accuracy of mouse click position prediction. Potentially revolutionizing human-computer interaction, the Multimodal-driven computer Interface offers new avenues for accessibility, productivity, and pleasure. © 2024 IEEE.

In India, one of the commercial crops is arecanut. The majority of arecanut growers depend on the arecanut production. However, they are also having a great deal of difficulty finding skilled workers to do pesticide spraying jobs. This effort uses computer vision technologies to address the aforementioned problem. This work compares the HSV estimation with the green pixel estimate approach. This makes it easier to position the robot at the right height, where the pesticide spray will work best. In this case, the HSV estimation identified a better way to manage the robot’s motion. Using a wireless camera, the experimental setup achieves an incredibly innovative performance to capture an image of the arecanut crop. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Entity linking refers to linking a string in a text to corresponding entities in a knowledge base through candidate entity generation and candidate entity *** is of great significance to some NLP(natural language processing)tasks,such as question *** English entity linking,Chinese entity linking requires more consideration due to the lack of spacing and capitalization in text sequences and the ambiguity of characters and words,which is more evident in certain *** Chinese domains,such as industry,the generated candidate entities are usually composed of long strings and are heavily *** addition,the meanings of the words that make up industrial entities are sometimes *** semantic space is a subspace of the general word embedding space,and thus each entity word needs to get its exact ***,we propose two schemes to achieve better Chinese entity ***,we implement an ngram based candidate entity generation method to increase the recall rate and reduce the nesting ***,we enhance the corresponding candidate entity ranking mechanism by introducing sense *** the contradiction between the ambiguity of word vectors and the single sense of the industrial domain,we design a sense embedding model based on graph clustering,which adopts an unsupervised approach for word sense induction and learns sense representation in conjunction with *** test the embedding quality of our approach on classical datasets and demonstrate its disambiguation ability in general *** confirm that our method can better learn candidate entities’fundamental laws in the industrial domain and achieve better performance on entity linking through experiments.

This research study presents a comprehensive survey of deep learning methods applied in order to improve the security along with accuracy of the mobile sink position prediction in Vehicular Pattern Wireless Sensor Networks (V-WSNs). V-WSNs are pivotal in modern wireless communication, especially in dynamic environments like urban traffic systems. The survey begins with an overview of V-WSNs, highlighting their unique characteristics, applications, and challenges, with a particular focus on mobile sink position prediction. It then delves into the nuances of routing protocols in V-WSNs, discussing the advantages and limitations of existing methods, and underscores the necessity for deep learning-based solutions. The paper further explores the integration of deep learning in WSNs, examining its applications, benefits, and inherent challenges. The significance of accurate and secure routing is analyzed, followed by an in-depth discussion on the integration of deep learning for enhancing these aspects in V-WSN routing. The paper also addresses the current challenges and open issues in mobile sink prediction and secure, accurate routing, paving the way for future research directions. A comparative analysis of various deep learning approaches and their practical applications in real-world scenarios is presented, offering insights into the effectiveness of these techniques. The survey concludes by summarizing the key findings and reaffirming the importance of integrating deep learning for secure and accurate mobile sink position prediction in V-WSNs. © 2024 IEEE.

A key development towards enhancing computer-human interaction is emotion recognition. This publication describes a technique called EmoCNN, which uses deep learning techniques to precisely identify and classify human emotions, emphasizing improving model performance using different optimizers. Our research intends to contribute to the creation of more effective systems that improve computer-human interaction by solving the problems associated with emotion recognition. By bridging the gap between humans and robots, accurate emotion detection enables systems to perceive emotions for customized and responsive interactions. AI-powered assistants, chatbots, and social robots all benefit from emotion recognition by providing more responsive, empathic and interesting user experiences. Emotion-aware technologies can also enhance user feedback analysis, human-centered design, and monitoring of mental health. Using a human emotion detection dataset, we carried out comprehensive experiments focusing on the happy, sad, and neutral emotion classes. Constructing a customized EmoCNN model with convolutional layers, a hidden layer, ReLU activation, and max-pooling was the focus of our computational work. We investigated various optimizers and evaluated how they affected accuracy, convergence speed and loss minimization. The results demonstrated that the EmoCNN model, which had been trained using the Adam optimizer, gave the best accuracy in distinguishing between emotions. Our paper provides a comparative analysis, highlighting the superiority of EmoCNN over existing models, showcasing its ability to achieve higher validation accuracy (89%) and more efficient emotion recognition when compared to previous approaches with minimal loss. Our research advances the field of emotional computing by demonstrating how well EmoCNN can identify and categorizes various human emotions. The recent surge in public space criminal activities underscores the need for an efficient system to promptly detect, recognize, and track criminals. Existing AI-based criminal detection literature, while insightful, has limitations such as the complexity to analyze video data, time, and speed of accuracy when it comes to training the algorithms that call for further advancements. Hence proposed AI-driven system addresses this demand, aiming to automate criminal identification, equipping law enforcement with a potent tool for proactive crime prevention and resolution. The system utilizes the innovative "CriminalNet-228" Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture, meticulously trained on a vast criminal image dataset for enhanced detection accuracy. To bolster face detection, additional computational resources like parallel processing and distributed computing are employed, enabling real-time analysis of extensive CCTV footage. Notably, the system tracks identified criminals, providing law enforcement with real-time situational awareness. CriminalNet-228 achieves an impressive overall Mean Average Precision (mAP) of 0.65 and excels in detecting facial features as small as 4 × 4 pixels, demonstrating its detail-oriented recognition capabilities. When evaluating Proposed CriminalNet-228 in comparison to established state-of-the-art techniques like Fast-RCNN, Yolov7, and AlexNet, it surpassed them in terms of precision, recall, f-measure, and accuracy, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 99.2%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

One of the primary organ is the skin. It protects and separates humans from various dangers. Nevertheless, the skin is susceptible to damage and can develop pigmented lesions. Manual classification of Pigmented Skin Lesions(PSL) is a major challenge due to availability and bias of physician, time consuming, invasive methods are painful and with elevated expenses. To overcome this, in this paper, two automated computer vision based approaches (using and without using dimensionality reduction) are employed by modelling multi-deep features using Support Vector Machine(SVM) for classification of PSL. The suggested system comprises of two operational stages. Initially, the performance of six Convolutional Neural Network models (VGG16, VGG19, AlexNet, Xception, ResNet50, and EfficientB3) in deep feature extraction and three types of hand-crafted features extraction methods (HOG, LBP, and SIFT) employing SVM are evaluated. The top three CNN models (AlexNet, ResNet50, and EfficientB3) based on accuracy are used to form binary and ternary early fusion hybrid models to classify the skin lesions. In the second stage, combining multiple CNN models resulted in increased dimensionality and number of features. These features are then classified using SVM once in the higher dimension and again by reducing the dimensionality by applying Principal Component Analysis(PCA). The accuracies of the combined models are then compared. It is observed that the ternary early fusion model with SVM (Alexnet+Resnet50+EfficientB3-SVM) produces the highest accuracy of 82.22% with higher number of features whereas the same model while using PCA produces the accuracy of 81.57%. Consequently, the findings indicate the suggested techniques are useful for classification of PSL. © 2024 IEEE.

Dietary management plays a crucial role in maintaining long-term health, preventing diseases and aiding in recovery, particularly amidst the increasing prevalence of chronic conditions such as hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. To achieve best practice in dietary management, providing insights into calorie intake based on the food items that people are eating is pivotal. In this paper, we propose a methodology to achieve this in three phases: instance segmentation, volume estimation and calorie calculation. Building on the foundations of Food Segment Anything Model (FoodSAM), we propose Masked-enhanced FoodSAM (MFoodSAM) focussing on enhancing semantic and instance masks and providing better food identification. MFoodSAM incorporates ResNet50 as a background model, improving its ability to separate non-food elements and reducing dependency on merging thresholds. We follow a coarse-to-fine segmentation approach to create detailed and semantically enriched masks, providing accurate instance and panoptic segmentation masks. After we accurately identify food items, we estimate food volume by calculating the pixel count from the food instance masks and combine this data with information from the USDA National Nutrient database and Nutritiondata to compute the caloric content of the food. We applied the proposed method on both a public and a private food dataset, and obtained state-of-the-art results, with mean IoU of 87.99;mean Accuracy of 95.55;average Acc of 94.85 on MyFood dataset, and mean IoU of 82.38;mean Acc of 92.85;average Acc of 94.66 on UNSW-Food dataset. This intelligent food monitoring system provides users with precise caloric information, facilitating more effective nutrition monitoring and contributing to improved health outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.
