With the development of information technology,a mass of data are generated every *** and analysing these data help service providers improve their services and gain an advantage in the fierce market competition.K-means clustering has been widely used for cluster analysis in real ***,these analyses are based on users’data,which disclose users’*** differential privacy has attracted lots of attention recently due to its strong privacy guarantee and has been applied for clustering ***,existing K-means clustering methods with local differential privacy protection cannot get an ideal clustering result due to the large amount of noise introduced to the whole dataset to ensure the privacy *** solve this problem,we propose a novel method that provides local distance privacy for users who participate in the clustering *** of making the users’records in-distinguish from each other in high-dimensional space,we map the user’s record into a one-dimensional distance space and make the records in such a distance space not be distinguished from each *** be specific,we generate a noisy distance first and then synthesize the high-dimensional data *** propose a Bounded Laplace Method(BLM)and a Cluster Indistinguishable Method(CIM)to sample such a noisy distance,which satisfies the local differential privacy guarantee and local dE-privacy guarantee,***,we introduce a way to generate synthetic data records in high-dimensional *** experimental evaluation results show that our methods outperform the traditional methods significantly.

The volume of social media posts is on the rise as the number of social media users expands. It is imperative that these data be analyzed using cutting-edge algorithms. This goal is handled by the many techniques used in text categorization. There are a variety of text categorization techniques available, ranging from machine learning to deep learning. Numerical crunching has become easier with less processing time since the emergence of high-end computer facilities. This has led to the development of sophisticated network architectures that can be trained to achieve higher precision and recall. The performance of neural network models which was evaluated by the F1 score is affected by cumulative performance in precision and recall. The current study intends to analyze and compare the performance of the neural network proposed, A Hybrid RNN model that has two layers of BiLSTM and two layers of GRU to that of previous hybrid models. GloVE dataset is used to train the models and their accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score are used to assess performance. Except for the RNN + GRU model, the RNN + BILSTM + GRU model has a precision of 0.767, a recall of 0.759, and an F1-score of 0.7585. This hybrid model outperforms the others. © The Author(s) 2024.

Crop pests can significantly impact productivity, making early detection and prevention crucial for management. Machine learning approaches are being used to forecast crop diseases using a variety of data sets. Relatively easy access to the environment data has resulted in a lot of attempts at predicting diseases and pests using this data. In this research, we provide a model that uses deep learning technique known as Simplified YOLO 3.1 architecture to examine past crop growth environment data to forecast illnesses. Utilizing large public datasets on crops such as tomato, pepper, grape, strawberry, and paprika, we show that the model is capable of accurately forecasting crop pest and disease risk. With an average accuracy of 98% and precision of 96%, it showed excellent predictive power. The anticipated results can help with post-harvest processing or insect control. It is expected that this learning framework and crop disease prediction model, which is based on environmental data, will be extensively useful for the prevention of pests and diseases in various facilities and crops. © 2025 IEEE.

Accurate and efficient land-use classification is important for the formulation of plans by urban planners, environmental monitoring, and even sustainable development. The paper explores the use of transfer learning methods that utilize pre-trained models to improve LSTM and DNNs' performance when applied on metropolitan settings for LAC. This can be done using transfer learning to learn from large datasets and adapt to the complexities of urban land-use patterns even with limited labeled data. This study uses the UC-Merced-LandUse dataset and heatmap analysis to visualize the models' classification decisions in demonstrating the effectiveness of this approach. This research contributes to the advancement of land-use classification techniques, which enable more accurate and informed urban planning and environmental management. © 2025 IEEE.

Cloud AI technologies have emerged to exploit the vast amount of data produced by digitized activities. However, despite these advancements, they still face challenges in several areas, including data processing, achieving fast response times, and reducing latency. This paper proposes a data orchestration platform for AI workflows, considering the computing continuum setup. The edge layer of the platform focuses on immediate data collection, the fog layer provides intermediate processing, and the cloud layer manages long-term storage and complex data analysis. The orchestration platform incorporates the Lambda Architecture principles for flexibility in managing batch processing and real-time data streams, enabling effective management of large data volumes for AI workflows. The platform was used to manage an AI workflow dealing with the prediction of household energy consumption, showcasing how each layer supports different stages of the machine learning pipeline. The results are promising the models are being trained, validated, and deployed effectively, with reduced latency and use of computational resources. The changing climate is anticipated to result in more frequent and extended heat waves having catastrophic effects on urban areas. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat is believed to adversely affect both physiological and psychological well-being, particularly for outdoor workers. This study analyzed the effects of hot weather conditions on the brainwaves of rickshaw pullers by examining changes in EEG signals before and after driving rickshaws at different air temperatures and relative humidity levels. We selected six rickshaw pullers as participants for six levels of air temperature (°C) and humidity condition (%) in various outdoor areas in Dhaka city, Bangladesh, while driving rickshaws for a duration of 20 to 30 minutes. The acquired EEG data assists in assessing the effects of heat exposure on cerebral activity. Our statistical analysis shows that there is a positive association between heat stress and the alpha band power of brainwaves. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Knowledge Distillation (KD) is a promising approach for unsupervised Anomaly Detection (AD). However, the student network’s over-generalization often diminishes the crucial representation differences between teacher and student in anomalous regions, leading to detection failures. To address this problem, the widely accepted Reverse Distillation (RD) paradigm designs the asymmetry teacher and student, using an encoder as teacher and a decoder as student. Yet, the design of RD does not ensure that the teacher encoder effectively distinguishes between normal and abnormal features or that the student decoder generates anomaly-free features. Additionally, the absence of skip connections results in a loss of fine details during feature reconstruction. To address these issues, we propose RD with Expert, which introduces a novel Expert-Teacher-Student network for simultaneous distillation of both the teacher encoder and student decoder. The added expert network enhances the student’s ability to generate normal features and optimizes the teacher’s differentiation between normal and abnormal features, reducing missed detections. Additionally, Guided Information Injection is designed to filter and transfer features from teacher to student, improving detail reconstruction and minimizing false positives. Experiments on several benchmarks prove that our method outperforms existing unsupervised AD methods under RD paradigm, fully unlocking RD’s potential. Visual abstraction of dynamic network via improved multi-class blue noise sampling

Massive sequence view (MSV) is a classic timeline-based dynamic network visualization approach. However, it is vulnerable to visual clutter caused by overlapping edges, thereby leading to unexpected misunderstanding of time-varying trends of network communications. This study presents a new edge sampling algorithm called edge-based multi-class blue noise (E-MCBN) to reduce visual clutter in MSV. Our main idea is inspired by the multi-class blue noise (MCBN) sampling algorithm, commonly used in multi-class scatterplot decluttering. First, we take a node pair as an edge class, which can be regarded as an analogy to classes in multi-class scatterplots. Second, we propose two indicators, namely, class overlap and inter-class conflict degrees, to measure the overlapping degree and mutual exclusion, respectively, between edge classes. These indicators help construct the foundation of migrating the MCBN sampling from multi-class scatterplots to dynamic network samplings. Finally, we propose three strategies to accelerate MCBN sampling and a partitioning strategy to preserve local high-density edges in the MSV. The result shows that our approach can effectively reduce visual clutters and improve the readability of MSV. Moreover, our approach can also overcome the disadvantages of the MCBN sampling (i.e., long-running and failure to preserve local high-density communication areas in MSV). This study is the first that introduces MCBN sampling into a dynamic network sampling.
