Detecting COVID-19 as early as possible and quickly is one way to stop the spread of COVID-19. Machine learning development can help to diagnose COVID-19 more quickly and accurately. This report aims to find out how far research has progressed and what lessons can be learned for future research in this sector. By filtering titles, abstracts, and content in the Google Scholar database, this literature review was able to find 19 related papers to answer two research questions, i.e. what medical images are commonly used for COVID-19 classification and what are the methods for COVID-19 classification. According to the findings, chest X-ray were the most commonly used data to categorize COVID-19 and transfer learning techniques were the method used in this study. Researchers also concluded that lung segmentation and use of multimodal data could improve performance. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Social media have been a public place where people can have social interaction with each other. They can freely express their words on social media. This right is also known as freedom of speech. However, because not many people can effectively use their right to free speech, many feel they can say anything on the internet, mainly on social media. Hence, social media can be a platform to capture public sentiment toward a particular topic. Automatic sentiment analysis using machine learning can take part in capturing public sentiment. However, automatic sentiment analysis is not a straightforward task. There are several problems to be solved in the automatic sentiment analysis task. Firstly, words can be ambiguous, in particular in several languages. Secondly, the context can be different from one language to another language. Therefore, using another language model to train automatic sentiment analysis tasks in different languages is not practical. This research intends to integrate BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) and Bi-LSTM(Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory) models for text classification since they are the two most commonly used models for text classification. The models proposed in this research focus on a specific language (i.e. Indonesian). The results demonstrate that the model trained with Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) architecture with indobertweet-base-uncased pre-trained model combined with Bi-directional Long Short Term Memory (BiLSTM) achieved the best results with 95.17%, 70.25% and 69.09% for training accuracy, validation accuracy and testing accuracy respectively, albeit the model is over-fitted. © 2022 IEEE.

Social media communications offer valuable feedback to firms about their products. Twitter users share their opinions about e-commerce products on social networking sites. This paper reports a study in sentiment classification for Indonesian drug products for automatically classifying Twitter data as expressing positive or negative sentiments or opinions. The study investigates the effectiveness of using a Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Na rve Bayes, and Logistic Regression, along with the term frequency-inverse document frequency used to classify 531 tweets into recommended (positive sentiment) and not recommended (negative sentiment). Among all traditional machine learning models, the highest average accuracy value is 88.6 in the RF model and the lowest average accuracy value is 80.2 when using the LR model. Judging from the average accuracy obtained, the DT and RF model used has a considerable performance © 2022 IEEE.

This paper aims to build hate speech text classification model by applying a combination of LSTM and FastText. The features of hate speech & non-hate speech, target hate speech, and categories of the hate speech. Dataset of those features taken from previous research by Okky Ibrohim. FastText word embeddings is used for formation of text vectors that will be used as input of the LSTM training model. The evaluation results obtained by getting the level of accuracy using confusion matrix. The accuracy value of text classification in this study is 83.52% on the classification of hate speech, 78.44% on the classification of target labels for hate speech, 82.75% on the classification of the label for category of hate speech. © 2022 IEEE.

Stress detection is a growing topic in the field of natural language processing. The study of stress detection for mental health prediction has been proven to benefit the development of recommender systems and automated mental health assessments in previous studies. Additionally, the widespread usage of social media has served as a potential data source for developing such models. Our research tried to detect whether the users of social media were under stress or not. We used a dataset from Dreaddit consisting of posts from one of the popular social media platforms, Reddit. We propose a machine learning model consisting of Support Vector Machine (SVM), Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Bag of Words, and Term Frequency - inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) for stress detection. The final evaluation of the model achieved an 80.00% F-1 Score and 75.00% accuracy, and both were scored by SVM. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

The increasing data volume given by the exponential growth of digital devices, cloud platforms, and the Internet of Things (IOT) had become an attractive target for attackers. This makes the search for innovative defense mechanisms intensified leading to a renewed focus on the utilization of honeypots to improve data security. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) examines the usage and contributions of honeypots in data security field across diverse sectors and environments. Analyzing 38 selected articles from 2018 to 2023, the study highlights the growing adoption of honeypots as tools for detecting and preventing data breaches, exfiltration, and other security incidents. Our finding found that honeypots, with their deceptive capabilities, have proven could be deployed in sectors like healthcare, cloud computing, and industrial control systems and effective in detection and prevention data breaches, exfiltration, and other data breaches, making them as a crucial tool in the data security protection. The future of honeypots lies in their integration with machine learning and AI, to predict and counteract sophisticated. Moreover, evolving honeypots into tools for deterrence and corrective action opens new avenues for cybersecurity strategies. Their ability to act as deterrents by increasing perceived risks for attackers, coupled with their role in aiding recovery from data breaches through detailed forensic analysis, positions honeypots as a cornerstone in the development of resilient data security frameworks. This study paves the way for a more adaptive, proactive, and comprehensive approach to data security, highlighting the indispensable role of honeypots in the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity. © 2023 IEEE.

In this article, we propose to study a novel research problem to boost group performance, that is, social-aware diversity-optimized group extraction (SDGE), which takes into consideration the two important factors: 1) group diversity and 2) social tightness. We prove the NP-hardness of SDGE and propose an effective algorithm, named group shrinking for diversity maximization (GSDM) with a performance guarantee, that is, GSDM is a three-approximation algorithm to the SDGE problem studied in this article. We further propose three effective pruning strategies that are able to boost the efficiency of GSDM but do not deteriorate its performance. We conduct extensive experiments on multiple large-scale real datasets to evaluate the performance of GSDM. The experimental results show that our proposed GSDM outperforms the other baseline approaches significantly, in terms of solution quality and efficiency. Moreover, the experimental results also confirm that our proposed pruning strategies indeed boost the efficiency of the algorithm. © 2014 IEEE.

This full paper describes a complete article in the research category. This work presents a Bibliometric Review that aims to characterize the current scenario of academic research in Artificial Intelligence in education to support educators in the teaching and learning processes in Special Education in different contexts, becoming a tool with potential use in cases of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this sense, this work aims to contribute to a better understanding of research associated with the area of Artificial Intelligence aimed at educational processes involving students with autism. To do this, we used the EndNote reference manager, an online tool designed to support researchers in conducting Literature Reviews, following the bibliometric protocol proposed by Guedes and Borschiver (2005). From the definition of search strings, ('artificial intelligence') AND ('autism' OR 'ASD' OR 'autism spectrum disorder') AND ('education' OR 'teaching'), scientific databases were explored like Web of science (WoS), Scopus, ERIC, Emerald, Scielo, Portal CAPES, and IEEE, to locate existing studies on the topic, between 2019 and 2024. As a result, 298 articles were mapped and 20 scientific works were selected that address the aforementioned specific theme, written by 89 authors belonging to 50 institutions in 19 countries on four continents, enabling the creation of a significant theoretical basis. By analyzing the information contained in scientific publications in this specific field, it was possible to infer that research is divided into distinct areas of concentration: 1) the exploration of algorithms and data analysis based on Artificial Intelligence for analytical-predictive issues in the field of special education;2) the use of robots in the teaching and learning processes of students with autism;3) the development of personalized educational intervention models for learning pedagogical, social and communication skills. Given the severity of waste pollution as a major environmental concern, intelligent and sustainable waste management is becoming increasingly crucial in both developed and developing countries. The material composition and volume of urban solid waste are key considerations in processing, managing, and utilizing city waste. Deep learning technologies have emerged as viable solutions to address waste management issues by reducing labor costs and automating complex tasks. However, the limited number of trash image categories and the inadequacy of existing datasets have constrained the proper evaluation of machine learning model performance across a large number of waste classes. In this paper, we present robust waste image classification and object detection studies using deep learning models, utilizing 28 distinct recyclable categories of waste images comprising a total of 10,406 images. For the waste classification task, we proposed a novel dual-stream network that outperformed several state-of-the-art models, achieving an overall classification accuracy of 83.11%. Additionally, we introduced the GELAN-E (generalized efficient layer aggregation network) model for waste object detection tasks, obtaining a mean average precision (mAP50) of 63%, surpassing other state-of-the-art detection models. These advancements demonstrate significant progress in the field of intelligent waste management, paving the way for more efficient and effective solutions. © The Author(s) 2024.

This study's purpose is to look at techniques and models that can increase students at universities' willingness to continue with e-learning while considering the most recent technological advances and data analysis. The study assesses the variables that can facilitate the continuance intention, focusing on the measurable aspects related to the quality, usefulness, and effectiveness of online learning. A quantitative survey was conducted to acquire relevant data, and questionnaires were completed by an intake of 491 individuals studying in several colleges in Bandung (Indonesia). The evaluation of the data demonstrates that online learning quality, usefulness, and effectiveness have a beneficial association with the intention to use online learning. This can reveal that participants who believe online learning is of good quality, useful, and effective are more likely to indicate a desire to use it in the decades to come. The study also highlights the significance of the three factors of user behavior in interactions with online learning in influencing the strength of learner intention. Using the most recent technological breakthroughs and data analysis, the research model produced in this study reveals the antecedent elements that enable the development of user intention to maintain online studies. The study's findings provide valuable insights for universities to develop effective strategies and indicators that can enhance the sustainable utilization of online learning in the future. It is essential to modify technology for e-learning to better support the dissemination of knowledge at universities, and this study can help guide universities in this endeavor. © 2023 IEEE.
