Rapid data expansion brought on by the emergence of the Web and e-commerce websites has led to the issue of information overload. Recommendation systems (RSs) have played a significant role in addressing this issue by using different algorithms to analyze user behavior and preferences and use this information to provide personalized recommendations. It's important to note that most RSs were based on customers' personal information, ratings, and other information. Recently, many researchers have used review texts and the rich information they might provide to enhance traditional RSs. These researchers vary in their approach, each one has its way of using review texts and determining user preferences. This paper provides a brief survey of the recent studies that have tended to the users' reviews in their work and examines how these reviews might be used to overcome some of the major problems facing standard RS algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Topic modelling, as a well-established unsupervised technique, has found extensive use in automatically detecting significant topics within a corpus of documents. However, classic topic modelling approaches (e.g., LDA) have certain drawbacks, such as the lack of semantic understanding and the presence of overlapping topics. In this work, we investigate the untapped potential of large language models (LLMs) as an alternative for uncovering the underlying topics within extensive text corpora. To this end, we introduce a framework that prompts LLMs to generate topics from a given set of documents and establish evaluation protocols to assess the clustering efficacy of LLMs. Our findings indicate that LLMs with appropriate prompts can stand out as a viable alternative, capable of generating relevant topic titles and adhering to human guidelines to refine and merge topics. Through in-depth experiments and evaluation, we summarise the advantages and constraints of employing LLMs in topic extraction. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

Heading to this journey of modernization, where everyone is choosing online systems in each and every sector especially after the hit of COVID-19 in past few years. Then why should we limit our journey to this offline era of voting and choosing representatives for the elections? We all are known to this fact that even after choosing electronic voting too, centralized system is being used by this online voting system which is again not at all trustworthy as they are having full access to the web services or web applications upon which they are performing voting and hence could lead to many problems before us such as vote theft, vote losses and even much more. DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks could be performed on these websites and can flood their services with thousands of requests which could crash their whole server and much more threats are even possible. But, with use of this Blockchain technology using our connected components, the consumption of energy will surely be minimized and resource utilization will be maximized along with increased security and reliability too as we will be giving extreme security to our Ballot which will be providing security functions to our votes. Hence with our designed project, we will be seeing that how these fixtures will be working and securing the ballot with full reliability and will be giving us secure vote counts. © 2024 IEEE.

In a programmer's pursuit of using or creating new programming languages, finding errors in the syntax of code can present many issues. Languages with little to no documentation and incomprehensible exception handling and reports are frustrating to work with and can create confusion when trying to locate where in the code the program has faulted. In this paper we present CodeBlock, a parser generator and syntax checker for arbitrary programming languages. CodeBlock is a block based grammar builder for any programming language that constructs a parsing expression grammar for the language based on user built expressions. This grammar can then be used within the CodeBlock website or in the CodeBlock *** application to test the syntax of either written code, or files containing code in the language, reporting comprehensible error messages if errors in syntax are found. Our eventual goal is to incorporate CodeBlock into a compiler design tutoring system, called CompiTS, in which it will play a central role in teaching students how to design new programming languages and test the effectiveness of the new language using rapid prototyping and a translational approach to implementation. This is an emerging research, and in this paper, we only focus on the syntax checking component of the CompiTS system. © 2024 IEEE.

The current paper explores the close interaction between technological advancements and the field of agriculture through a project focused on plant disease detection using Deep Learning techniques. It provides an in-depth analysis of the plant disease phenomena and its negative impact on crops, while also highlighting the effectiveness of using pre-trained models of YOLO (You Only Look Once) in the agricultural domain for plant disease detection. A comparative study is conducted on different important versions of YOLO (v5, v8 and v9) on a real-world dataset. This study was achieved by recommending the application of deep learning models mainly YOLOv9 to enhance detection accuracy and improve agricultural productivity overall. © 2024 IEEE.

The online shopping industry has grown significantly in the modern era, but giving customers a fulfilling and engaging experience continues to be a challenge. This study looks at the problem of consumers having trouble locating their favorite options and designs when they shop online. This restriction affects customer satisfaction and puts businesses at risk of losing out on possible revenue. The study suggests using 3D modeling technology to address this problem, with a particular emphasis on the *** framework. Customers can interact with products in new ways by utilizing 3D modeling, which empowers them to make well-informed decisions prior to making a purchase. In this paper, the issue of limited product visualization is examined, interactive 3D modeling is introduced, the use of *** for its implementation is explained, and the possible advantages for businesses and consumers are discussed. © 2024 IEEE.

This research aims to build a system that automatically categorizes good and bad fruits, for the top six popular Indian varieties of Fruits using deep learning. By adapting pre-trained deep learning models (transfer learning), We have achieved high accuracy (over 99%) in distinguishing fruit quality, with the EfficientNetv2b2 model performing best. The research demonstrates that deep learning could be used to fruit quality assessment in agriculture and the food industry. The framework is developed based on the Pooling and Convolutional layers of the MobileNetv2, ResNet50, DenseNet, and Efficient-Netv2b2 pre-trained CNNs are used for feature extraction, and newly mentioned output and connection layers are applied to classification. Test results show that EfficientNetv2b2 achieves high accuracy (training accuracy - 99.82% and test accuracy - 98.90%) on four pre-trained networks, considering sample size and testing risk. Our goal in this paper is to show how effective transfer learning is and also overcome the limitations of current Fruit Classification Models. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a bi-level green traffic assignment with network design problem. At the upper level, the objective function evaluates a total traffic Carbon monoxide (CO) gas emissions problem to provide a macroscopic viewpoint of the system manager. At the lower-level, a traffic assignment network design problem is considered to individually optimize users’ travel times, with certain links being potential candidates for network addition. Although the lower-level objective function is convex with linear constraints, the proposed bi-level problem is np-hard, and even finding a near-optimal solution is an np-hard task. To address the solution approach, we applied an online supervised machine learning (SML) algorithm which solves the proposed bi-level problem within a reasonable running time. Additionally, a mat-heuristic algorithm is proposed to compare the results with the online SML algorithm. To validate the online SML algorithm, we conducted experiments using real urban transportation examples in medium and large-sized networks. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

To evaluate how developers perform differently in solving programming tasks, i.e., which actions and behaviours are more beneficial to them than others and if there are any specific strategies and behaviours that may indicate good versus poor understanding of the task and program given to them, we used the MIMESIS plug-in [22] to record developers' interactions with the IDE. In a series of three studies we investigated the specific behaviour of developers solving a specific programming task. We focused on which source code files they visited, how they related pieces of code and knowledge to others and when and how successfully they performed code edits. To cope with the variety of behaviours due to interpersonal differences such as different level of knowledge, development style or problem solving stratiegies, we used an abstraction of the observed behaviour, which enables for a better comparison between different individual attributes such as skill, speed and used stratiegies and also facilitates later automatic evaluation of behaviours, i.e. by using a software to react to. © 2024 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s). The apple industry faces significant economic losses due to diseases and pests, contributing to low productivity levels. Detecting apple diseases promptly is essential for controlling their spread and improving overall productivity. However, early identification and diagnosis of these diseases are challenging due to various factors. In this work, we evaluated the performance of three distinct models: a custom CNN, Xception, and Resnet152V2. These models were tested on an expert-annotated dataset of apple diseases, comprising approximately 1821 high-quality RGB images across different categories of following types: C1: scab affected apple, C2: cedar apple affected by rust, C3: diseases of complex nature, and C4 samples of healthy apples. The custom CNN based proposed model trained for 50 epochs could yield an approximate accuracy of around 95%. © 2024 IEEE.
