Node classification is a crucial task in many applications, where the objective is to accurately classify nodes based on their features. Unlike traditional machine learning methods, which often fall short in handling graph-structured data, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) offer a robust solution to this problem. This research aims to identify the most effective GNN model for node classification by evaluating several methods, including Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN), GraphSAGE, Graph Attention Networks (GAT), and ChebNet. Through careful tuning of key hyperparameters, specifically the number of hidden units per layer and the learning rate, the study achieved optimal model performance. The best results were obtained using the GraphSAGE model with 64 hidden units per layer and a learning rate of 0.01, leading to exceptional accuracy and F1 scores of 0.999823 and 0.999852, respectively. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of hyperparameter optimization in enhancing GNN performance for node classification tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

Crime is one of the social problems of concern in Indonesia. One of the factors that affect the crime rate in Indonesia is population density, where Java Island has the highest population density among the islands in Indonesia. Cluster analysis was conducted twice using indicators from the results of the principal component analysis to group the crime rate of the regencies and cities on Java Island. The first analysis uses crime and other indicators (including demography, economy, and education). The second analysis uses crime indicators only. The Elbow method is used to define the optimum number of clusters and Clustering Large Applications based on the Randomized Search (CLARANS) algorithm, both analyses resulted in 4 clusters. From both analyses, the first analysis was considered better results than the second analysis with a DBI score equal to 0.95403. © 2024 IEEE.

This study tackles the intrinsic difficulties that come with fighting fire and addresses the urgent need to improve fire detection techniques. This study thoroughly assesses well-known pre-trained models, YOLOv5 and MobileNet SSD, in addition to a custom designed Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture for fire detection, with an emphasis on sophisticated object detection methods. The results show that the custom CNN model performs better than MobileNet SSD (48%) and YOLOv5 (55%), with an outstanding mean Average Precision (mAP) of 70.9%. The unmatched potential of the method in enhancing fire detection applications is highlighted by this data-driven analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Dog expressions encapsulate crucial information that reflects their current emotional states, providing an innovative approach to interpret their feelings. Although many papers have explored facial expression recognition (FER) in humans using artificial intelligence, similar research done on dogs is lacking. In this paper, we experiment to predict the emotional state of dogs broken down into 4 categories: angry, happy, relaxed, and sad. We use Mask-RCNN to handle preprocessing and utilize state of the art vision transformer (ViT) models such as dinov2-base-imagenetlk-1-layer and beit-base-patch16-224-pt22k-ft22k to analyze and classify canine emotions. Among the models, both vision transformer models achieved the overall highest accuracies compared to the CNN models. The results state that DINOv2 has the highest accuracy, followed by BeiT with the overall accuracy 84.68% and 84.50%, respectively. Color Jitter preprocessing boosts the accuracy approximately 1.98% higher than Gray Scaling. However, upon further analysis of individual class breakdowns, it was observed that BeiT models outperformed DINOv2 in the happy category, while ResNet surpassed DINOv2 in the relaxed category. © 2024 IEEE.

One factor in ship accidents is violation of regulations. Indonesia has passed regulations for shipping in the form of the NCVS (Non-Convention Vessel Standards) Indonesia book. The problem with the book is that it contains a plethora of information and is difficult to access although it was meant to be utilized by the public. The Indonesian government provides a comprehensive legal database, but navigating it is still complicated and overly complex. Considering the points mentioned, we see a potential to implement Natural Language Processing methods for assisting in the publication, navigation, and exploration of the NCVS Indonesia book. In this paper, we developed a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) model which involves retrieving relevant sections of the NCVS Indonesia book based on the user's query and generating responses that are supported factually by the NCVS Indonesia book based on the retrieved context. The retrieval component of the RAG model achieved promising evaluation scores when retrieving the top 7 documents with recall@k of 0.8889, precision@k of 0.8095, and mean reciprocal rank (MRR) of 0.3521. Evaluation results suggests that our model strikes a good balance between retrieving relevant documents and avoiding irrelevant ones specifically within the top 7 documents. © 2024 IEEE.

Non-player Characters (NPCs) play a crucial role in shaping the player's experience and immersion in video games. However, despite advancements in technology and game design, NPCs continue to face several challenges that hinder their ability to provide engaging and realistic interactions. This has been true in some cases, such as open world games where the random NPCs do not have a lot of character depth or use repetitive sentences. This research aims to improve dialogue in video games by humanizing conversations between players and NPCs by using Google's Gemini API and Sentence-BERT framework. Gemini 1.0 Pro as a base model from Google to give natural responses and Sentence-BERT framework based on PyTorch and Transformers to compute sentence or text embeddings for more than 100 languages that can be compared with cosine similarity algorithm to find sentences with similar meanings. NPCs will be able to provide creative and unique quests to give to the players based on their conversations. This research provides insight on how LLMs such as Google's Gemini and Sentence BERT can be used in role-playing games to generate dynamic, unique conversations for NPCs without having to make the script manually. © 2024 The Authors.

In its evolution, the agricultural industry in Indonesia requires advanced technology, particularly in the field of AI. One application is the use of AI in image classification for sorting tomato ripeness. Manual sorting of tomato ripeness proves ineffective and inefficient, prompting the development of an automatic tomato sorting application based on the EfficientNetB0 model. The initial stage involves comparing various CNN models, including VGG-16, VGG-19, ResNet-50, EfficientNetB0, and a custom CNN model. The accuracy results are as follows, in order: 93 %, 94 %, 42%, 98%, and 48.2%. EfficientNetB0 emerges as the most accurate model from the comparison. Consequently, this model will be deployed as an application to automate the classification of tomato ripeness levels. © 2024 IEEE.

Since social media has grown, cyberbullying has become a widespread problem that seriously damages both people and society. This work looks at how deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) models might be used to identify cyberbullying on social media. We use advanced DL architectures like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) together with ML methods like Random Forest and Support Vector Machine (SVM) to analyze textual data and find cases of cyberbullying. A dataset of 39,999 tweets classified as cyberbullying is used in the study;to guarantee data quality, it is thoroughly preprocessed, including text normalization, tokenization, and vectorization. We show that, in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, DL models - especially CNN and RNN - far outperform conventional ML models. Higher computational complexity and training time notwithstanding, DL models show better capacity to identify complicated and context-rich cyberbullying cases. The results indicate that the RNN model achieved the highest accuracy of 84.71%, followed closely by the CNN model with 84.01%. The discussion highlights DL models' superior ability to capture complex patterns in textual data, making them more effective for cyberbullying detection, although they require significant computational resources. This study emphasizes the potential of incorporating AI-driven solutions for real-time monitoring and mitigation of cyberbullying, advocating for further optimization of these models and their integration into practical applications to foster safer online environments. Future development will focus on efficiency optimization and the deployment of these models for real-time cyberbullying detection. © 2024 IEEE.

In this modern era, technological advancements are progressing rapidly, leading to many activities being conducted online. One of the sectors most significantly impacted is the trade sector, where one contributing factor is the emergence of e-commerce. This presents a unique challenge, especially for sellers who wish to conduct business on such an e-commerce platform, where the time required to upload a product is not insignificant. Therefore, this research aims to develop a transformer-based model using the Amazon review dataset. This study compares baseline GPT-2 model with the proposed GPT-Neo model. The results indicate that the proposed GPT-Neo model performs better. The GPT-Neo model achieved the best scores on the test data using a temperature parameter of 0.7 and a top_k of 50, with an average BLEU score of 43.10% and a ROUGE-L score of 11.93%, showcasing its capacity to create more coherent and contextually correct product descriptions. Furthermore, it improves businesses' overall e-commerce experience. © 2024 IEEE.

Some benign tumors (made up of non-cancer cells) can become malignant (made up of cancer cells) over time, such as in our skin or colon. The dynamic interaction between cancer and non-cancer cells in tumors becomes interesting to analyze to predict tumor growth. This paper uses a predator-prey model to interpret the dynamic tumor growth, which uses cancer cells as a predator and non-cancer cells as prey. A Gompertzian growth function completes the model to describe natural tumor growth and add a treatment parameter. First, we investigate the stability criteria of each model equilibrium using an analytical approach. The eigenvalues obtained in the stability analysis are used to construct a discrete dynamic model using the Non-Standard Finite Difference (NSFD) scheme. This scheme is implemented numerically in Python and is highly accurate since the maximum difference with the 4th Runge Kutta scheme is 0.42%. Finally, sensitivity parameter analysis shows that intensive treatment mostly affects the dynamic of the tumor cell population. The related party can use the simulation and analysis results to plan the proper and effective treatment to minimize tumor growth. © 2024 The Authors.
