Indonesia's tourism sector, boosted by its captivating landscapes, has seen a rise in the popularity of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Traveloka, ***, and Agoda. To effectively assist tourists, OTAs are anticipated to comprehend tourists' needs and interests, with insights gathered through scraping data from the Google Play Store. Through topic extraction from customers' reviews, this research aims to optimize the tourist experience and offer actionable insights for the tourism industry's marketing strategies. Furthermore, it endeavors to eliminate the reliance on brute force approaches in determining the candidate number of topics. To achieve the research goal, this research employs topic modeling, specifically Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) enhanced through the K- means elbow method. The evaluation of the optimal topic number utilizes a coherence score, while human judgement serves as a quantitative metric for overall performance, with a remarkable validity rate across three platforms: Agoda (91%), *** (88%), and Traveloka (94%). This highlights the approach's effectiveness in accurately identifying and categorizing topics. In conclusion, the model accurately discerned essential topics, revealing that the majority of the reviews on these OTAs focus on the transaction and refund systems on each platform. Furthermore, this model offers promising recommendations to enhance the understanding and response to customers' reviews, facilitating faster and more effective responses. These insights are invaluable for continuous development and improvement strategies within the dynamic changes in the tourism industry across these influential platforms. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper addresses the vital task of diagnosing breast cancer early and accurately. It acknowledges the difficulty in detecting minor variations in breast cancer patterns through visual examination alone, particularly when analyzing gray scale images. To overcome this challenge, our research concentrates on using image processing models, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and enhances them with a refined approach to classification. The research methodology encompasses rigorous data collection, preprocessing, and strategic feature selection to enhance model robustness. To address challenges related to data intricacies, the study incorporates transfer learning, refining the model's training process for improved accuracy. The paper not only seeks to elevate diagnostic precision and minimize errors but also aims to provide healthcare professionals with efficient tools for breast cancer detection. Building upon prior research, the study underscores the potential of deep learning methodologies in advancing breast cancer diagnosis. Furthermore, the fine-tuning process involves adapting a pre-trained model to the intricacies of breast cancer patterns, optimizing its performance. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of reliable diagnostic tools that empower medical professionals in the fight against breast cancer. The paper concludes by summarizing key findings. Additionally, the model achieved an accuracy of 84%, highlighting its effectiveness in breast cancer detection. The paper also emphasizes the broader significance of leveraging deep learning for enhanced breast cancer detection. © 2024 IEEE.

Breast cancer, on the other hand, is the leading cause of death among women worldwide, necessitating early and timely diagnosis to reduce survival mortality rates. This traditionally relies on radiology tests such as mammography and, in some cases, biopsy, which have several clinical limitations in terms of invasiveness and a risk of false negatives/positives associated with the loss of precious time. This paper examines using machine learning techniques in improving diagnosis relating to breast cancer and reducing diagnostic errors. Using the Breast Cancer Wisconsin dataset, several ML models including Decision Trees, K-Nearest Neighbors, Support Vector Machines, Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, and Neural Networks were evaluated. Performance metrics considered were accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and Area Under the Curve. The best neural network was MLP, outperforming other models and further showing how ML might offer accurate, non-invasive diagnostic alternatives. Further studies should be done to enable better real-world applications and clinical utility of such models. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

The escalating demand for skilled IT professionals underscores the increasing significance of the recruitment process. Traditional methods often fall short in identifying individuals poised for success in the dynamic technology industry. This paper aims to address the challenges in recruiting proficient applicants by proposing an interpretable machine learning model for assessing IT job candidates. The study conducts experiments comparing various machine learning algorithms, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Decision Tree, using data from the 'IT job applicant' public dataset. Evaluation methods such as the confusion matrix, accuracy, recall, and precision are employed to assess the model's performance. The findings reveal that the decision tree exhibits an accuracy exceeding 99.8%, establishing it as the top-performing model. The key contributing factor to this accuracy is identified as the 'computerSkills' feature. Additionally, within the decision tree, *** and Microsoft SQL Server are highlighted as influential factors positively impacting individual decision interpretation. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study, we created an Intelligent Geospatial Platform called GeoBeeDashboard. The GeoBeeDashboard combines advanced geospatial technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), allowing real-time data visualization and optimized decision-making across multiple sectors. The system architecture consists of a ***-based front end, a FastAPI-driven back end, and PostGIS for geospatial data management. One of the GeoBeeDashboard's primary use cases is addressing waste management issues in Tangerang City, Indonesia. As rapid urbanization increases waste generation, effective management becomes critical. The dashboard identifies critical trends and inefficiencies in Tangerang's districts by K-Means clustering waste management data from 2020 to 2023. Our findings identify distinct clusters, highlighting areas with effective waste management and those that require targeted interventions. The benefits that local government can get from GeoBeeDashboard by utilising insights based on clustering analysis of data per each district in Tangerang to optimise waste collection, allocate resources efficiently, and improve the policy-making process for each district in Tangerang. The GeoBeeDashboard improves local government capabilities by providing a scalable model for other cities facing similar urban challenges. In conclusion, GeoBeeDashboard provides local governments with a powerful tool for addressing waste management inefficiencies and fostering sustainable urban development. © 2024 IEEE.

Health insurance is a useful service that can help its users gain lifesaving medical aid when they are in need. However, health insurance is also exploitable to insurance fraud through the falsification of information to increase the amount of reimbursement and cause massive loss of funds to the insurance provider. We propose the usage of machine learning to accurately determine potential health insurance fraud. The objective of conducting this research is to determine which features are the most important to determine healthcare insurance fraud. This research used a dataset provided in Kaggle titled Healthcare Provider Fraud Detection Analysis using Random Forest Classifier and Logistic Regression. The best-performing model in this test, the Logistic Regression, is then used to which features are the most important for the classification. Our research shows that the most important feature in detecting health insurance fraud is the amount of money reimbursed associated with a provider. The Logistic Regression model achieved an accuracy of 0.90, precision of 0.93, recall of 0.91, and an F1 Score of 0.90, outperforming the Random Forest model in comparative analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Trees are one of the most important living things on the planet. Trees help by being one of the largest producers' oxygens on planet, by absorbing groundwater and by maintaining soil fertility. Trees can also be one of the keys to reducing existing air pollution. Therefore, the number of existing trees must be maintained. The first step in maintaining the number of existing trees is to count or map them. One of the easiest ways is to do this use an algorithm. This study uses a tree-counting algorithm called Deep Forest. Deep Forest is a Python package that can detect trees through RGB satellite imagery. This study used satellite imagery from Pleiades on an area in Kulon Progo district, Yogyakarta, Indonesia for the image-one of the four regencies within Yogyakarta Province in Indonesia. In addition to the Deep Forest algorithm, this research also used an application provided by Esri called ArcGIS Pro. With this application, data preprocessing such as labeling the data and creating the deep learning dataset for research is much easier, while ArcGIS Pro provides tools for labeling and exporting the data to jupyter notebook. The result obtained using the Deep Forest algorithm is the F1 score with an accuracy of 0.76 for the first experiment, 0.774 for the second experiment, and 0.779 for the final experiment. © 2024 IEEE.

Low resolution image-face recognition system is one of the challenging aspects of face recognition models' development. From machine learning, deep learning, and into ensemble learning are implemented to develop face recognition models. Including mpdCNN that published by Mishra in a journal article. This mpdCNN already achieved 88.6% accuracy score on SCFace dataset while published. Based on literature review, ensemble learning model can be improved by modifying parallel layers. The purpose of this research is to improve mpdCNN's performance by implementing some modifications include adding parallel layers, alternating the fusion layers, expanding the layers, and adding residual connections. Some modifications were successfully improved mpdCNN's accuracy score. By adding parallel layers and residual connections into mpdCNN's architecture, the modified mpdCNN that proposed in this research achieved 92.33% accuracy score, measured by Rank-k evaluation metric. © 2025 IEEE.

The rapid expansion of e-wallet services in Indonesia has significantly heightened the need for efficient customer service solutions, making chatbots an essential tool for user support. However, many providers continue to rely on rule-based chatbots, resulting in rigid interactions that struggle to meet diverse user needs or handle the linguistic complexities of the Indonesian language. This study addresses these limitations by developing an AI-powered intent classification model specifically tailored for Indonesian e-wallet customer service, aimed at delivering a more accurate, adaptive, and user-centered experience. A custom dataset was created from user comments on social media associated with Indonesia's top e-wallet providers, followed by data pre-processing and clustering using the BERTopic model. To improve interpretability, OpenAI's GPT-4 was employed for label refinement, resulting in enhanced clarity. Various models were tested, including IndoBERT, RoBERTa, and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures in both 2D and 3D configurations. The highest-performing model combined IndoBERT embeddings with a 3D CNN classifier, achieving an accuracy of 84.30%, precision of 84.33%, recall of 84.30%, and an F1-score of 84.24%. This study contributes a unique Indonesian-specific dataset and demonstrates the potential of AI to transform customer service interactions in Indonesia's e-wallet sector, offering a clear advancement over traditional rule-based approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

Online transportation has been one of the most used type of applications in this day and age, dominated by the platforms Go-Jek and Grab. In order to improve their service and user satisfaction, this research aims to determine the user sentiment analysis on both application using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) method, a supervised learning algorithm used to classify data according to their nearest neighbors, and the K-Means method, an unsupervised learning algorithm used to group data into clusters according to their similarities. Both methods will be implemented using RapidMiner. The data used are 199 usernames and ratings on both applications, collected from Kaggle. The KNN method resulted in a 100 percent accuracy and the K-Means method proved that the cluster with the most items is the one which had the ratings above 4.5. This proves that the user sentiment analysis of online transportation platforms, such as Go-Jek and Grab, using K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and K-Means reveals that the sentiments are, on average, positive sentiments. © 2024 IEEE.
