Wind power has been experiencing a quick improvement. Without a doubt, wind is a variable asset that is hard to forecast. For instance, traditionally time series, extra holds are distributed to deal with this uncertainty. This paper presents a comparison of the performance of various Support Vector Regression (SVR) applied to short-term wind power forecasting. The analogy with BORUTA and multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS) as judge best input and employ genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization to find best parameter in Support Vector Regression with robust lost function. We measure the accuracy of this models by Symmetric means absolute percentage error (sMAPE) and we get the best model BORUTA-SVR-PSO with sMAPE 2.07155%. Moreover, we measure the energy conversion using Feedback Linearization Control (FLC). © International Association of Engineers.

Today, Youtube influencers are the new brand form of popularity that shows their creativity and talent. Many of them have become financially victorious. Additionally, they promote certain products and attract the attention of viewers to purchase the products. In doing so, this study aimed to reveal how verbal, visual, audio, and gesture aspects of the YouTube influencers impact viewers’ purchase intention and how those aspects display the context in the form of power to affect viewers’ purchase intention. The analysis in this study used a multimodal analysis focusing on multimodal systems, including aspects of verbal, visual, audio, gesture, and Critical Discourse Analysis in context to disclose the power displayed by the YouTube influencers. The researchers used the qualitative research methodology by applying a descriptive analysis in the research. The results show that the verbal, visual, audio, and gesture aspects of YouTube influencers convey the intended meanings and appoint power based on context to impact viewers’ purchase intention.

When optimizing the spatial data, a lot of constraints should be handled. Some constraints might be too wide for a metaheuristic algorithm, e.g. particle swarm optimization, to allocate the candidate locations outside a wide constraint. However, particle swarm optimization notably has fast computation characteristic and many researchers used this method for optimizing their spatial data. In the other hand, genetic algorithm has not only better exploitation-characteristic performance in searching but also has mutation and crossover that was proven in this study can be overcome the wide constraint problem. To minimize the drawback of genetic algorithm, i.e. need many computation resources, the hybrid particle swarm optimization with genetic algorithm through the use of crossover and mutation was used. Half of lower fitness values from particle swarm optimization were optimized using crossover and mutation in genetic algorithm. After merging the results of both methods, the optimum location showed that the proposed method was able to allocate the land use in a case study area outside the wide constraint. © 2019 IEEE.

Obesity problems have actually come to be a worldwide epidemic that has increased since 1980, with significant repercussions for health and wellness in young adults, adults, and youngsters. Obesity problems are an issue that has actually been expanding steadily which is why daily appear new studies entailing youngsters’ excessive weight, specifically those looking for influence elements as well as exactly how to predict the appearance of the condition under these elements; for this reason, early detection is called for. Data mining and also machine learning (ML) algorithms approaches are made use of in obesity problems forecast in our research. We made use of the Obesity Level dataset for our study, accumulated from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. The dataset includes information about 638 patients as well as their matching 17 attributes. We made use of nine ML algorithms on the dataset to predict obesity problems. We found that the model with Logistic Regression algorithm is well on obesity level prediction. The result validated Logistic Regression algorithm has the best performance of accuracy (100%), sensitivity (100%), specificity (100%), as well as AUC (1). The Logistic Regression model was selected because to its best performance, best gain, and fastest total time.

Personnel and education data very important for organizations, including the military. All data related to military personnel will give effect positions and careers in the military field. The integration of personnel and education data can assist in processing and decision making. An analysis is needed so that the developed system can be useful for the long term. Analysis with IT balanced scorecard and COBIT ® 2019, will be able to help and fill the gaps in the existing system based on the objectives of the military organization itself. It is shown that the domains BAI05 (Managed Organizational Change) and DSS02 (Managed Service Requests and Incidents) are still not being implemented well. The system developed will have the features and capabilities to support the organization in achieving its goals, including in the field of staffing and education. Besides, it provides convenience in making decisions in terms of positions related to personnel careers.

Climate anomalies are considered as an important factor closely related to many disasters causing many human losses, such as airline crash, wildfires, drought and flooding in many areas. Many researchers have projected that the rising global temperature will increase the draught, especially in the mid-latitude areas. Taking those problems into account, studies on anomaly detection in climate are crucial. While climate prediction aims to analyze and model regular pattern of climate, climate anomaly studies aim to model climate deviation from its previous general patterns. Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) is a method employed in this research because it has been proven to work effectively in several anomaly detection studies, especially for data with similar characteristics. This paper presents empirical results of using Basic LSTM, Densely Connected (DC) LSTM, and Stacked-DC LSTM models to detect temperature anomaly as a manifestation of climate change in Semarang City. The results show that Stacked DC LSTM produced higher accuracy in detecting anomaly than the other two methods. © 2020 computer Society of the Republic of China. All rights reserved.

higher education institution in improving soft skills students is offering additional activities that are useful and offer added value to students in the era of higher education. In general, students need to improve their soft skills in the areas of self-management, teamwork, communication, initiative and entrepreneurship, problem solving decision-making, planning and organization, etc. With these soft skills, students are expected to have more added value when studying in higher education. This qualitative paper discusses business processes and also user interface for application in higher education institutions to attract more students to participate in activities held by faculty committee or student activity units. With this research, students can be more interesting in terms of gamification in the form of obtaining an e-badge if it has reached a level in the soft skills of the higher education institution. © 2019 IEEE.

Improving village welfare is a noble goal to be achieved together. According to Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, given an opportunity is given to Villages to develop Villages according to the potential offered by prioritizing community participation. The establishment of Village Owned Business (Bumdes) is one form of village economic development and strengthening. Sanankerto Village, Turen, Malang is a Tourism Village also known as the Boon Pring Ecotourism Village. Boon Pring is a superior Bumdes to attract tourists. An area of 36.8 ha of bamboo and in more than 60 types of bamboo is an attraction. In the middle of the bamboo forest there is also a natural spring that irrigates rice fields with an area of approximately 124 ha. Researchers conducted preliminary research in the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) Sanankerto Village and obtained information about the management of Sanankerto Tourism Villange is not good. The development of Sanankerto Tourism Village has been slower and less able, ranging from planning, implementation, to control and evaluation of the tourism village development strategy. Only relying on Boon Pring as Bumdes makes Sanankerto Tourism Village less than optimal to be able to become the preferred tourist destination village. The research entitled 'Mapping of Villages Potential as a Strategic Step in the Development of Sanankerto Tourism Village, Turen, Malang' aims to examine the following matters: (1) Revealing and understanding the Sanankerto Tourism Village management model so that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats can be identified which will then be used as a basis for developing a tourism village development strategy. (2) To uncover and understand appropriate alternative strategies in developing Sanankerto Tourism Village based on the mapping of village potentials. Gamification is a concept that is carried out in order to improve the results of the delivery of information. One area that can take advantage of gamification is education. In education, gamification is a strategy that impelements the elements of a game into a non-game context to resolve the issue with the aim of motivating the user in the process of the activities of learning such as snake and ladders. The basic reason for eliminating the kind of gamification into the game of snakes and ladders is because this game is one of the lightest board games and is quite popular in Indonesia besides other board games such as monopoly, ludo, checkers, and checkers The study will also examine some of the literature that supports the gamification strategy adopted in the game of snakes and ladders, analyzes the weaknesses of the past research, looks for novelties that can be implemented and modified as a learning tool for early childhood to increase attractiveness, interaction and understanding. This study uses a systematic literature review approach from journals and scientific publication articles from 2014 to 2020 regarding gamification strategies in learning using learning tools, especially using snake and ladders. This study will conclude the novelty and opportunities of the snake and ladder game to be modified as part of the gamification strategy concept for early childhood learning. The development of these games can be directed towards some material and changes in the form of games from conventional to digital according to learning needs.

One of the common and important post-translational modification (PTM) types is phosphorylation. Protein phosphorylation is used to regulate various enzyme and receptor activations which include signal pathways. There have been many significant studies conducted to predict phosphorylation sites using various machine learning methods. Recently, several researchers claimed deep learning based methods as the best methods for phosphorylation sited prediction. However, the performance of these methods were backed up with the massive training data used in the researches. In this paper, we study the performance of simple deep neural network on the limited data generally used prior to deep learning employment. The result shows that a deep neural network can still achieve comparable performance in the limited data settings.
