Detection of Vehicle Position and Speed using Camera Calibration and Image Projection Methods

Traffic congestion is the main problem faced by big cities, such as Jakarta. One approach to reduce congestion levels is to improve traffic management that regulates and controls the number of vehicles. To evaluate the impact of traffic management before direct implementation on the highway, traffic modeling can be carried out. Parameters in modeling traffic must be determined from a calibration process where the vehicle is accurately measured for its position and speed. This study aims to propose an efficient calibration procedure with accurate results, based on recorded vehicle movement in perspective view. First, the road image is projected using the Direct Linear Transformation (DLT) method, then the vehicle position is detected using the Background Subtraction and tracked using Mixture of Gaussian (MoG) to determine the vehicle speed. Finally, we develop a prototype of Automated Traffic Flow Monitoring based on Python programming. In the experiment results, the accuracy of vehicle position detection is evaluated based on the Euclidean distance. The average difference between the results of position detection with ground-truth is 12.07 pixels with a camera angle 40 °. The percentage of speed measurement accuracy using the DLT projection method is 96.14%.

Mass gathering has been identified as one of the causes of fast-spreading of COVID-19. Physical distancing practices and large gathering control in Malaysia and all over the world are likely to be continued until the end of the year, even after Movement Control Order (MCO) has been lifted. This has imposed event organizers to redesign their events into virtual events where attendees are to stay at their houses and meet with the host and other attendees virtually. However, certain types of educational events or activities such as practical and hands-on classes are not to be virtually conducted as it by nature carries a competency for the students. This paper evaluates the standard classroom layout by comparing with optimal layout based on circle packing problem (CPP) solution. CPP solution is used to optimize the physical distancing-constrained for the student seat layout as in it happens in real life. The findings can provide an effective exit strategy for Malaysia to deal with this COVID-19 pandemic or other pandemics in the future.

Jakarta lifted up lockdown after passing more than 50 days of large-scale social activity restriction and initiated phase opening to new normal. To analyse Jakarta's air quality after passing lockdown, a pipeline of data engineering is needed. By acquiring time series data from ***, a time-series database system is developed with Python programming language and its fundamental libraries namely Pandas, NumPy, SQLite. After PM 2.5 data are pre-processed into average per-hour and grouped by applicable periods (pre-lockdown, lockdown, and phase opening), a pattern of PM 2.5 in South Jakarta is revealed by using data visualization library Matplotlib. The apex of PM 2.5 occurs earlier during lockdown (04:00) and phase opening (02:00) rather than when it was normal or pre-lockdown (08:00) even though the nadir of PM2.5 still occurs at the same time (16:00 – 17:00).

The role of information technology in sports organizations is important to analyze all aspects including how to win in the competition based on various internal and external factors. The approach that used to enhance the sports organizations is sports science, which is a concept that contributes to the development of athletes by collaborating in many fields and studies, such as anatomy, physiology, psychology, engineering, chemistry, etc. The approach of Sport science articulates the technology that blended on all of the approached. Currently, the use of sports technology or science in Indonesia is also very low in all sports categories. Usually, the management and coaches look at player statistics based on manual data or reports to view player statistics periodically. There is still a lack of exploration to use player statistics to be used by coaches to improve the ability of the players and the organization. This research will propose how to develop sports science with a business intelligence approach that used the Kimball data mart approach as decision support in the field of sports so that management and coaches can apply the correct approach to improve the capacity of players and organizational development. The result of this study will provide the model of sports science that can be implemented for a professional sports organization in Indonesia.

The security system in monitoring the room or something suspicious activity that can cause crimes in the field of information and technology as in private homes is indispensable. Aims to keep valuables from theft and loved ones like babies from kidnapping or reducing the risk of an accident in an unguarded infant activity. The use of CCTV still has constraints because some functions are still done manually such as should always move the record of the CCTV data every day to different memory so that there is waste in using memory. Moreover, the position of the camera can not be adjusted freely in the placement so that it can easily be destroyed by irresponsible people, and also ordinary CCTV needs electricity that is considerable in its use. This research is done to improve and facilitate the process of monitoring of baby activity and the room where the baby is called sleep or rest, all monitoring activities can be done using only a Web browser that can be accessed by a smartphone or desktop. The monitoring system is created using a program called RPi Cam that is installed on the Raspberry Pi with a Raspberry Camera module as a monitoring camera and a DHT22 sensor module as a room temperature monitor.

Health is one of the leading indicators of the prosperity of a nation. With advanced technological development and usage in Indonesia, it is expected to have a better health index. However, the health index of the population of Indonesia is still relatively low compared to other countries, being placed at 101 out of 149 countries. Few of the causes of the problem above are the lack of health education, delay in diagnosing/misdiagnosis, and inaccessible healthcare facilities. With the increasing popularity of telemedicine across the world and its nation, Indonesia could improve the healthcare and medical field with the said technology. In this paper, a framework is created and designed for an integrated mobile patient portal for practicing physicians and medical clinics for improving in sharing information in consultations. Furthermore, the application also is intended to help outpatients to make a consultation appointment and increasing outpatient's active engagement and knowledge of their health. This mobile application is expected to be implemented across the nation and to improve the health and medical aspect in Indonesia. © 2019 IEEE.

Survival analysis for diabetic retinopathy in diabetic patients using Extended Cox Model

One of the disorders of the eye that may occur to the diabetes patients is diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy can cause vision loss and even blindness to the diabetes patients. At first, diabetic retinopathy may not have any symptoms at all. But diabetic retinopathy is the disorder which cause of blindness besides of cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration. The objective of this research was to determine the factors that can be used to delay diabetic retinopathy. There are several covariates that used in this research. One of the survival analysis method that can be used is Cox Proportional Hazard model. However, in this research, the result of Cox Proportional Hazard model showed that some covariates are not significant in the Cox Proportional Hazard model and the model did not fulfil the assumption, that is a constant hazard ratio over time. Therefore, an analysis was carried out using the Extended Cox Model. The results of Extended Cox model showed that all variables are concede a significant effect in delaying diabetic retinopathy in the Extended Cox model. Therefore, the Extended Cox model is more appropriate in this research than Cox Proportional Hazard model.

The Brimob Corps is a special police force, just like the special military detachments held by the TNI such as Paskhas and so on. At present brigade corps police national is busy being discussed in the real world and cyberspace, especially on social media twitter. Many opinions about the brigade corps police national so there are positive and negative opinions. Social media twitter is now one places to spread information about brigade corps police national. This study cases uses text mining techniques with support vector machine (SVM) method which aims to classify public sentiments towards brigade corps police national on twitter. The dataset used is tweet in Indonesian with keyword "Brimob" with a total dataset of 1000 tweets. Text mining, transform, tokenize, stemming, and classification, etc. techniques are useful for building classification and analysis of sentiment. RapidMiner and Gataframework are also used to help create sentiment analysis to measure classification values. Accuracy values obtained with support vector machine (SVM) approach 86,96%, with precision values of 86,96%, and recall values of 86,96%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Convolve4D: A Novelty Approach to Improve Convolutional Process

Convolutional neural networks (ConvNet or CNN) are deep learning algorithms that can process input images, assign meaning to various aspects or objects in the image (biases and learnable weight) and recognize one image from another. The bigger kernel size will take more time to process the *** present a novelty way to use a 4D rank tensor to improve a convolutional process. At the early stage of the Convolve4D development, the edge detection with 3×3 kernel and The Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) with 5×5 kernel size was used to demonstrate the convolutional process improvement. The Convolve4D needs more elaboration to be used into a CNN algorithm. The advantage of convolve4D is only need 9 loops to calculate 81 outputs, whereas convolve2D need 9 × 9 × 3 × 1 × 7 × 7 = 11.907 loops. The result is 18.5% shorter when using a 5×5 kernel; it reduces from 0.54 seconds to 0.44 seconds for the edge detection convolution process.

A therapy game for elementary students with ADHD

Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder usually have problem to express themselves. Using game as a therapy, they could reduce the problem. A recent study has revealed video games might be an alternative therapy for children with ADHD. This research is to analyze the data that was collected from a prototype game that has been developed and created. The game is created using Construct2. To collect data from the game, back-end web application was created using PHP and MySQL. Several data that have been used in this research paper are score, incorrect house, and incorrect fruit. Ten children with ADHD are involved in this testing, all children are elementary students and never receive any treatment for their ADHD. Before and after the testing, they have been tested by fMRI. The testing consists of 4 weeks of training sessions of about 20-30 minutes almost every day except Sunday or public holiday. Every session contains at least three tutorial or training tasks and four game tasks in a fixed order. In conclusion, the result showed the scores were better when the children with ADHD play with visual instruction rather than with audio instruction.
