The concept of smart building includes the optimization of energy usage in a building. One of the possible solutions for this is to adaptively adjust appliances utilization according to activity level in the building. Thus, an intelligent activity estimation system needs to be developed. However, massive annotated dataset is necessary to train the system. Therefore, we propose a system that enables rapid data annotation to collect the massive dataset. With the proposed system, an image can be annotated within 4.8 seconds in average.

Nowadays, every company knows that when making a decision that has a potential in affecting their assets, an accurately processed report is necessary in order to support the reasoning behind their decision. Generating a report for stakeholders quickly and accurately is highly required in assisting them making a data-driven decision. By developing a data warehouse, it is possible for a company to do a data-driven decision making to appeal to their customer segments. This paper proposes a data warehouse model design to analyse the sales data contained in the database. The method that was implemented for this particular data warehouse development is the nine-step methodology designed by Kimball. The results are then presented in pdf form and an interactive dashboard.

With the growth of technology, the requirement for customized software to support business increases and the experts on software development also increases. The more Software Developers means the more competition in Software Development. Software metric for effort estimation is a strategy to use metrics related to effort estimation in software development becomes necessary to determine the effort required to develop the system and hence determine pricing (in the case of software house). Several methods exist to estimate effort. This research discusses the Use Case Point Method using a Student Desk Portal as the study case. The effort calculated based on Use Case method may differ from the actual case. In this paper, the differences are analyzed, and an adjustment factor is constructed to resolve the differences between the effort estimated by use case point and the actual effort placed in the actual software development. A new criterion is introduced by using data from the actual software development, be used as further adjustment to the effort obtained by using Use Case Point method. This new criteria, the simplicity of project is added to be a part of the environment factor. The result is positive, the effort calculated by Use Case Point for three different application is in accordance with the actual result.

The Authentication process is highly dependent on Face Detection and Face Recognition during learning activities. In addition, in the E-Learning learning system we must also provide accurate and accurate information. The research method used is literature study and analysis. Literature study was carried out on the face of face detection and recognition in real-Time conditions carried out by various previous studies. Furthermore, analysis was carried out in a literature study studio to find suitable methods for the E-Learning environment. From the results of existing literature studies we recommend face detection using Face Countour and the Adaboost Algorithm added to CNN (Convolutional Neural Network)to normalize the facial contour function and normalize lightning in the surrounding environment where a face detection is located. The process is carried out, we use the 3WPCA-MD(Three-Level Wavelet Decomposition Principal Component Analysis with Mahalonobis Distance) method which is able to produce calculations, that is, face recognition that is faster when compared to ordinary PCA (Principal Component Analysis) methods. Thus the process can be carried out in face detection and face recognition. © 2018 IEEE.

Traditionally, for the purpose of classifying the integrity of an engineering structure, one may use the information of the natural frequencies or mode shapes or some other measures derived from the two. In this research, we propose a classification method on the basis of the general vibration model. The general vibration model is essentially a set of differential equations describing the dynamics of the structure under consideration. For the purpose of damage detection, a deviation of the general vibration model from the dynamic equilibrium point marks the occurrence of the damage. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, we study two simplest dynamical systems consisting of one- and two-concentrated masses subjected to a prescribed dynamic load. The structural damages are introduced artificially by reducing the stiffness of spring in the structures. We find that the general vibration model is more sensitive to damages than the traditional methods.

This research is conducted to design database system implementation strategy that combines both backup management and performance management perspective. The backup management should address business continuity aspect and the performance management should consider its scalability factor. Methodology used is literature reviews and field studies. Result of this research is a multi-region availability database system architecture that is able to address 3 issue areas, namely regular backup, disaster recovery and performance by leveraging recent built-in database system feature. Integration of both management perspectives act as an enablement to combine cost incurred by both so that better efficiency of cost can be expected. © 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Environmental Ethics of Belu Society in Indonesia and Bobonaro Society in Timor Leste: An Ecological Reflection

Environmental ethics deals with the moral dimensions of human relations with the environment. The focus of this research is to concentrate on an effort to construct environmental ethical values based on the local indigenous people of Belu, East Nusa Tenggara Province-Indonesia, and Bobonaro District-Negara Timor Leste. The research findings show local indigenous human relations with the ecological reality of the Belu community, namely Badu Tradition (prohibition), Sau (harvest), and traditional weaving crafts. Meanwhile the local indigenous people of Bobonaro District, namely: tara bandu (prohibition), na'in (guardian of nature), diversification of plants, terraced land and stone wall fences, traditional medicines, and guarding of water sources. This finding is an important basis for making an ecological reflection based on local wisdom in the context of environmental conservation to support sustainable development. The environmental ethics of the Belu and Bobonaro people are interpreted as natural resources and ecological culture, the legacy of traditions, and the reality of the spiritual nature of the Belu and Bobonaro people in building relationships with the environment. Efforts to care for the environment are shown by respecting the social rules and norms that govern the relationship between local Belu and Bobonaro people with the environment. This local wisdom of Belu and Bobonaro can be a theoretical reference in caring for the environment. Local indigenous-based environmental ethics thinking is very important in helping to solve the problem of less than ideal relations between humans and the environment that is still happening in the implementation of the development that is being carried out. The findings of this study can make an important contribution to environmental conservation efforts to support the big idea of sustainable development.

Research on the digital economy continues to develop but is limited to one country and/or field. From a bibliometric retrospective review, this study purposes to visually research mapping and research trends in the field of the digital economy on an international scale. This study used bibliometric techniques with secondary data from Scopus. Analyze and visualize data using the VOSViewer program and the analyze search results function on Scopus. This study analyzed 2,784 scientific documents published from 1984 to 2019. This study proposes a grouping of digital economy research themes: Information systems, Digitization, E-commerce, Education, Engineering, Marketing, Industrial revolutions, and Information technology, abbreviated as IDEEEMII research themes. © 2021 The Authors. The objective of this study is to develop the time series model so the model can give a forecast value of rice price using ARIMA. Forecasting rice price is an action to help government in monitor and control it. Price monitoring is conducted to achieve the good development of domestic trade. In this case, price monitoring is done to maintain the price stability so that it will not harm producers and consumers. The model ARIMA(1,1,2) is suitable for medium quality rice for data period from January 2015 because it has a good accuracy. © 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Indonesia is prone to natural disasters such as an earthquake. Many people are clueless regarding what to do when an earthquake occurs. An earthquake has caused a more devastating outcome due to it being able to lead to other hazards. The idea of developing a mobile application surfaced by reading and receiving inspiration from the previous research. Previous research has been implementing different kinds of ways to alert people regarding the upcoming earthquake. The development of a mobile application to provide a platform that will assist people with information on what to do in times of before, during, and after the earthquake. Therefore, people will have a source that they can turn to when seeking information about the steps to be done when an earthquake occurs. Besides, providing information apropos to earthquakes, the mobile application will send further alerts to the people that are in that specific area. Moreover, people will be able to be aware of the particular areas that they are in. The alerts sent will give information to the people so that they could evacuate to safety as soon as possible before the upcoming earthquake occurs.
