The concept of smart building includes the optimization of energy usage in a building. One of the possible solutions for this is to adaptively adjust appliances utilization according to activity level in the building. Thus, an intelligent activity estimation system needs to be developed. However, massive annotated dataset is necessary to train the system. Therefore, we propose a system that enables rapid data annotation to collect the massive dataset. With the proposed system, an image can be annotated within 4.8 seconds in average.

Nowadays, every company knows that when making a decision that has a potential in affecting their assets, an accurately processed report is necessary in order to support the reasoning behind their decision. Generating a report for stakeholders quickly and accurately is highly required in assisting them making a data-driven decision. By developing a data warehouse, it is possible for a company to do a data-driven decision making to appeal to their customer segments. This paper proposes a data warehouse model design to analyse the sales data contained in the database. The method that was implemented for this particular data warehouse development is the nine-step methodology designed by Kimball. With the growth of technology, the requirement for customized software to support business increases and the experts on software development also increases. The more Software Developers means the more competition in Software Development. Software metric for effort estimation is a strategy to use metrics related to effort estimation in software development becomes necessary to determine the effort required to develop the system and hence determine pricing (in the case of software house). Several methods exist to estimate effort. This research discusses the Use Case Point Method using a Student Desk Portal as the study case. The effort calculated based on Use Case method may differ from the actual case. In this paper, the differences are analyzed, and an adjustment factor is constructed to resolve the differences between the effort estimated by use case point and the actual effort placed in the actual software development. A new criterion is introduced by using data from the actual software development, be used as further adjustment to the effort obtained by using Use Case Point method. This new criteria, the simplicity of project is added to be a part of the environment factor. The result is positive, the effort calculated by Use Case Point for three different application is in accordance with the actual result.

Traditionally, for the purpose of classifying the integrity of an engineering structure, one may use the information of the natural frequencies or mode shapes or some other measures derived from the two. In this research, we propose a classification method on the basis of the general vibration model. The general vibration model is essentially a set of differential equations describing the dynamics of the structure under consideration. For the purpose of damage detection, a deviation of the general vibration model from the dynamic equilibrium point marks the occurrence of the damage. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, we study two simplest dynamical systems consisting of one- and two-concentrated masses subjected to a prescribed dynamic load. The structural damages are introduced artificially by reducing the stiffness of spring in the structures. We find that the general vibration model is more sensitive to damages than the traditional methods.

Environmental ethics deals with the moral dimensions of human relations with the environment. The focus of this research is to concentrate on an effort to construct environmental ethical values based on the local indigenous people of Belu, East Nusa Tenggara Province-Indonesia, and Bobonaro District-Negara Timor Leste. The research findings show local indigenous human relations with the ecological reality of the Belu community, namely Badu Tradition (prohibition), Sau (harvest), and traditional weaving crafts. Meanwhile the local indigenous people of Bobonaro District, namely: tara bandu (prohibition), na'in (guardian of nature), diversification of plants, terraced land and stone wall fences, traditional medicines, and guarding of water sources. This finding is an important basis for making an ecological reflection based on local wisdom in the context of environmental conservation to support sustainable development. The environmental ethics of the Belu and Bobonaro people are interpreted as natural resources and ecological culture, the legacy of traditions, and the reality of the spiritual nature of the Belu and Bobonaro people in building relationships with the environment. Efforts to care for the environment are shown by respecting the social rules and norms that govern the relationship between local Belu and Bobonaro people with the environment. This local wisdom of Belu and Bobonaro can be a theoretical reference in caring for the environment. Local indigenous-based environmental ethics thinking is very important in helping to solve the problem of less than ideal relations between humans and the environment that is still happening in the implementation of the development that is being carried out. The findings of this study can make an important contribution to environmental conservation efforts to support the big idea of sustainable development.

Indonesia is prone to natural disasters such as an earthquake. Many people are clueless regarding what to do when an earthquake occurs. An earthquake has caused a more devastating outcome due to it being able to lead to other hazards. The idea of developing a mobile application surfaced by reading and receiving inspiration from the previous research. Previous research has been implementing different kinds of ways to alert people regarding the upcoming earthquake. The development of a mobile application to provide a platform that will assist people with information on what to do in times of before, during, and after the earthquake. Therefore, people will have a source that they can turn to when seeking information about the steps to be done when an earthquake occurs. Besides, providing information apropos to earthquakes, the mobile application will send further alerts to the people that are in that specific area. Moreover, people will be able to be aware of the particular areas that they are in. The alerts sent will give information to the people so that they could evacuate to safety as soon as possible before the upcoming earthquake occurs.
