We study the surface morphology of ZnO thin films deposited by nitrogen mediated crystallization method utilizing atomic force microscopy as a function of nitrogen flow rates. Initially, the surface morphology of ZnO thin film deposited without nitrogen exhibits a bumpy surface with spiky grains where the skewness and kurtosis values were found to be 0.48 and 4.80, respectively. By addition of small amount of nitrogen, the skewness and kurtosis values of the films significantly decrease associated with a flatter topography. Further increase in nitrogen flow rate to 16 sccm has roughened the surface shown mainly by the increase in kurtosis value to be 3.30. These results indicate that the addition of small amount of nitrogen during deposition process has enhanced the adatoms migration on the surface resulting in a superior film with a larger grain size. Two-dimensional power spectral density analysis reveals that all the films have self-affine fractal geometry with total fractal values in the range of 2.14 to above 3.00. © The Authors, published by EDP sciences, 2018.

In the early 2020, Indonesia experienced flooding in several areas. This disaster caused a lot of damage and losses. One of the causes of flooding in Indonesia is due to high rainfall. This was not anticipated beforehand so there was a flood. Therefore, research on rainfall in Indonesia is very important to anticipate floods. If it is predicted that rainfall is very high and conditions do not allow it to accommodate, the government can prepare watersheds so that rainwater can flow and not be trapped. In this research, the rainfall data were obtained from Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG Indonesia), then the analysis of rainfall data in Indonesia was carried out. There are several statistical methods that can be used. There are ARIMA and Neural Network. In this research, the results of ARIMA model are used as input variables in the Neural Network model. Then there are several numbers of hidden layer in the Neural Network model that are compared. The results of ARIMA model and Neural Network model showed that Neural Network model is better than ARIMA model, because the mean square error (MSE) value of Neural Network model is smaller than ARIMA model.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly contagious disease, ranking second most significant global health concern after the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Indonesia has the third highest number of TB cases worldwide. This disease often goes undetected in its early stages due to symptoms that resemble common coughs. In addition, tuberculosis presents a unique challenge: inadequate treatment can lead to drug resistance, exacerbating the severity of the disease. Consequently, treatment protocols vary according to the level of infection. In this study, we propose a model to understand the spread of tuberculosis, taking into account two levels of treatment commonly observed in Indonesia. Our aim is to gain insight into infection dynamics. We conduct a thorough analysis of the model and provide numerical solutions. Crucially, we derive the basic reproduction ratio from the model, a key metric to assess endemic tuberculosis. Furthermore, we apply our model to Malang Regency TB case data spanning 2007 to 2016, examining monthly trends. Our analysis reveals a strong alignment between the model and the observed data. In addition, we simulate various intervention strategies to assist policy makers in devising effective measures.

Development of Urine Hydration System Based on Urine Color and Support Vector Machine

Nowadays, to maintain hydration in human body has becoming an important issue in health research. The water needs depend on many factors like body size, dietary intake, gender and physical activity, consequently the indicator of hydration status is highly individual. Based on recent research that said the urine color is reliable indicator for hydration status, we would like to develop a prototype for detecting hydration status automatically. To use the color indicator precisely, we tested several color sensors to performance in detecting color and chose TCS34725 as the color sensor. The prototype of urine hydration system (UHS) is designed to record hydration status data in daily basis in cloud computing and the urine information can be accessed by Android smartphone. The prototype employs a set of microcontrollers and sensors as IoT devices and support vector machine (SVM) as a classifier. To evaluate the accuracy of hydration status, we compared the prediction with urine specific gravity (USG) as golden standard. The accuracy of our UHS prototype can reach up to 84%, which is nearly similar with the accuracy of manual prediction using only human eyes.

Image manipulation techniques are getting common among communities causing the growth of hoax information. Various algorithms began to be developed with the aim of detecting fake images and one of them is detection trace demosaicing techniques. The demosaicing trace detection technique works by reading the changes that occur in the color values within the image area that have been forged. This research aim to create web-based application to detecting fake images by combining web technology and algorithm. In this research, the web application managed to produce an accuracy of 72 percent in detecting fake images.

This research is conducted to design database system implementation strategy that combines both backup management and performance management perspective. The backup management should address business continuity aspect and the performance management should consider its scalability factor. Methodology used is literature reviews and field studies. Result of this research is a multi-region availability database system architecture that is able to address 3 issue areas, namely regular backup, disaster recovery and performance by leveraging recent built-in database system feature. Integration of both management perspectives act as an enablement to combine cost incurred by both so that better efficiency of cost can be expected.

The pandemic of COVID-19 has tremendously shifted the process of facilitating learning for undergraduates. All educational sectors are influenced by the robust implementation of online learning. Students all over the world are also challenged to be adaptive and be resilient with the fast changes of ways to learn. In responding to the sudden shift to online learning, most of students demonstrate tedious works to complete all online tasks and assignments set by lecturers. Consequently, students become more responsive to do the online tasks rather than obtain life-skill competence such as communicative skills. This research aims to investigate quality of online learning and online apps used in the online learning that support development of learners' communicative competence. The data of this research are from 30 BINUS University students' responses on the survey conducted during implementation of learning from home. The respondents are involved in English subject online classroom. The data analysis were employed qualitative approach to describe the main focus of the research. The results of data indicate the quality of online learning applied during COVID-19 breakout desired improvements in terms of content development, teaching and learning instruction, and learning evaluation system to accomodate the acquisition of communicative competence. Moreover, online learning devices were still lacking on catering the development of communicative competence. Overall, the research has proved that the quality and the tools of online learning are interdependent factors to reinforce communicative competence.

Improving the company's performance to compete globally, in rapid growth market economy condition, is practically required. One of the important things is right decision in issues of supplier selection. The improper supplier affects consequence negatively to the quality of company's business process. Thus, the right way to answer the issues is incredibly crucial to be proposed. This study aims to design an application to determine the sub-criteria weight with Fuzzy-AHP method, select the best supplier via Fuzzy-TOPSIS method, and calculate the allocation of quota to each supplier thru Fuzzy-MOLP method. The study was conducted on high class store by taking the object of material gymnastic product (spandex). Simulation confidently demonstrates that the Fuzzy-AHP approach is able to be operated to generate parameter Quality Product as the best sub-criteria (with value 0.221), the Fuzzy-TOPSIS technique can be used to ring out the supplier (where CV. Maju Jaya Abadi as the best supplier), and the method Fuzzy-MOLP is exploited to calculate the allocation of quota (where CV. Maju Jaya Abadi as a supplier with the highest percentage of 44.40%).

Ecology is a branch of biology that studies the interaction and relationship between organisms and their environment. Abundance, distribution of organisms and patterns of biodiversity are great interests for many ecologists. One of interesting ecosystems to be studied is a cave. A cave has a typical environment character with a vulnerable ecosystem. Many caves in Indonesia, particularly in Gunungsewu karst area have been developed into tourist objects (show caves) and managed imprudently. Such cave management has potential to harm the environment and leads to ecosystem destruction. Arthropods are the most abundance fauna in cave that play critical roles in maintaining cave ecosystems equilibrium. In the heart of statistical ecology, we need to analyze the differences on Arthropods community and abiotic (climatic-edaphic) parameters among show caves and wild caves. Statistical techniques are needed for the extraction of such information. GLLVM is one method that is able to explain spatial-based information and is particularly suitable for ecology. In this paper, we use negative binomial models to see the differences on spatial patterns of predator and decomposer Arthropods, also characteristic of edaphic and climatic in each cave.

In recent times, the challenges faced in the culinary field include uncontrolled food quality, inadequate nutrition supplements, limited knowledge in food processing, low dieting awareness, increase of fast foods, and loss of culinary knowledge. The purpose of this study therefore is to determine the technological component in learning culinary processes. Data was obtained through an exploratory method from literature reviews of previous researches. Furthermore, the findings indicated that individual motivations were obtained from both internal and external factors. Adequate infrastructure in terms of networks, technology, hardware and software, has the ability to enhance knowledge sharing in the cooking field.
