Exploitation of natural materials energy in eastern Indonesia and efforts to fight for the sovereignty of local communities

One form of development activities carried out by humans is the exploitation of natural materials energy. Often the activity of exploiting natural material energy is only oriented to human interests, but ignores aspects of sovereignty (autonomy) of nature and the future of members of the local community of exploitation place. This paper shows field observations and literature reviews on the practice of energy exploitation of natural materials in Eastern Indonesia, which lacks attention to the dimensions of the balance of nature and the interests of local communities. Eastern Indonesia has not prospered because it is still struggling to obtain their sovereignty in the exploitation of natural materials in their own land. Often social conflicts arise due to the exploitation of material energy carried out. This study aims to find the phenomenon of natural exploitation in eastern Indonesia and build awareness to create sovereignty for local communities. The research method uses interpretative analysis and philosophical reflection to get meaning. Research found a theoretical model that is useful for overcoming the problem of exploitation that occurs. Those humans must transform themselves into ecological human beings so that they can bring practical benefits to the good of nature and East Indonesia local people towards the vision of sustainable development.

Development of Affordable and Powerful Swarm Mobile Robot Based on Smartphone Android and IOIO board

Nowadays, an approach for coordinating large numbers of autonomous robots, which is called as swarm robots, has becoming an important issue in robotics research. In swarm robot systems, each robot must cooperate with other robots in order to perform a given task. The main obstacle in swarm robot research is the cost of making robots. Building one robot with limited capabilities commonly has to spend substantial amount of money and certainly making robots for intelligent systems research need much more investment. In this paper, we would like to present the development of affordable mobile robot, but also having powerful capabilities and intelligence. The mobile robot is specifically designed and made to be used as a stand-alone or in swarm robot systems. It is essential that the mobile robot has learning ability to adapt the dynamic environments. Furthermore, for swarm robot systems, each mobile robot must be able to communicate with other robots in order to coordinate each other. In our research, we used differential drive model for mobile robot locomotion and then apply the model through Android smartphone based controller. The mobile robot was constructed by using two actuators on the right and left side, and one castor wheel which has no steering system and can move freely. The differences velocity between left and right actuators determines the direction and final position of the mobile robot. The angular velocity of two main actuators is set by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) parameter in IOIO board microcontroller. In our experiment, we showed that the capability of our robot in performing several movement tasks. We are sure that Android based robotic platforms are ideal candidates for affordable robotics for swarm robot system research.

Digital forensic tool is a software used by digital evidence investigators to extract data and information from a digital evidence. The integrity of the digital evidence must be maintained through the chain of custody in order to be admissible in court. Most digital extraction tool use either MD5 (Message Digest) or SHA (Secured Hash Algorithm) hashing to check the integrity of digital evidence. The hashing algorithm has been found to have a weakness known as collision in which two different messages have the same hashing values. Although the probability of producing such weakness is very small, this collision can be used to deny the usage of the evidence in court of justice. After the first collision has been found, many cryptanalysts have tried to explore various methods to detect the collisions with shorter and efficient time. This paper is to review the existing methods in digital forensic tools that have been used to create a collision attacks in digital evidence.

Social Media allow people to communicate over long distance and increase the users for the past years. However the threat of Hoax is also increasing in social media which increase the risk of mass panic, where the society become confuse between false and true, other words between hoax and not hoax. To mitigate the effect of hoax, a system to filter out hoax posts from social media is proposed. We propose a system framework that might be able to filter out hoax from social media post feeds in order to reduce the amount of hoax posts in social media. It is difficult to reduce 100% hoax from social media, but at least there is a technology which can decrease the hoax in social media. This system works by utilizing data mining to search past hoax records and analyze the post data pattern to determine whether a post is a hoax or not hoax. Our proposed system will also utilize social media Application program Interface (API) such as news, facebook, twitter, in order to find similar writing in other social media or news website to find out the authenticity of a person's post. © 2017 IEEE.

Evaluating the Implementation of Public Information Disclosure on the Official Website of Indonesian Ministries

Evaluating the implementation of public information disclosure as mandated by Law No. 14 of 20008 on the 34 ministries website in Indonesia. Seven parameters were measured, namely: periodic information (P1), the immediate information (P2), the any time information (P3), the service information announcement (P4), the online service of information request (P5), transparency finance and planning (P6 & P7 ). About 50% having the service of P1 to P4. 35.3% having P5. For P6 and P7, 29.4% and 44.1% having ‘Good’ score. In general, the implementation of Law No. 14 of 2008 is still not satisfactory.

Cumulative state loss over the years caused by corruption in Indonesia has reached a fantastic number of 15 Billion usn up until 2016 [1]. To imagine the severances of it, 10.000 KM of highway can be built with that much amount of fund. Several responses has been done by Indonesian government to fight corruption from both prevention and persecution. This work focuses on the development of a web application aimed to provide insight to corruption case per province in Indonesia. The web application was developed using Machine Learning, specifically Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Web crawling and web scraping techniques are used to gather news content from 7 major news portal in Indonesia. Accuracy is measured by comparing correct prediction by ANN to its true value. Upon finding corruption news, data is saved and further analysis is done to establish the number of corruption news per region. Finally, the output is visualized using Google Map API. The purpose of this work is to provide regional depiction of corruption case to give further insight to be used by decision makers. Upon using this web application, objectivity of program development is expected to increase. The final output of the web application is a map of corruption case in Indonesia per region. The accuracy of ANN used in this work to classify corruption and non-corruption news is 96.91 % using Sigmoid Activation Function.

Cyber Security has become rising issue in recent years where encryption is one of solution and has an important role in data protection. Encryption algorithms that widely used in information security are asymmetric and symmetric. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is one of symmetric encryption that most used often and the most secure encryption today. However, AES encryption has slow computation. Our experiment show that both of algorithms combination needs 3.045 milliseconds for 1024 bytes of data and increase 3-4 milliseconds for 2048 bytes of data and so on. This paper proposes a novelty method to improve AES algorithm with Shift Row and *** modification for Mix Column transformation. The result show that our optimization has reduced 3 milliseconds and continue to increase as the number of bytes increases. Percentage average of the optimization is 86.143%.

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that citizens use social media to access information about the state of the city. Social media application offers benefits in the form of a channel of communication between the community and the government or the group that has public interest. Through this application, the public could channel complaints about public services. Perception becomes the important key for this condition because user action is determined by their perception toward the government e-services. The result of standard measurement for customer satisfaction on government organization is used to help find the weakness of the service and correct it. The interface is made to be more user-friendly to ensure the effective service. So, it is necessary to develop the system continuously. Perceived quality is one of the important determinants of the success of social media application, therefore needs identification of the user's perception and expectations and involving becomes the key to success besides the good quality that will increase the trust and satisfaction of users. Evaluation of social media applications is needed so that it can provide recommendations to the provincial government of DKI Jakarta related to what things can be done to improve community service.

In this study we used an architectural research method based on the Open Services Gateway Initiative and Mobile Agent Technology, which is a model for analyzing smart home business platforms for technology governance planning tasks that include the recommended decision flow process and as recommendations from established business models and expanded to include a series of additional parameters needed to produce a business platform so that it can analyze the business model offered by the developer and detailed analysis of proposed governance in the service sector. And finally this research produces a Framework that presents a technology governance model for updating strategic plans and governance models for technology and frameworks designed to meet the needs of the elderly population and as recommendations for smart home management that aim to measurably improve the welfare of people in Indonesia. The proposed model and strategy recognizes the diversity of the community with existing providers of household tools and developers to optimize resources to achieve the goals and objectives of elderly smart home residents

As the development of the mobile gaming industry is increasing rapidly, the game today not only serves as entertainment alone. Then by increasingly the need for the sector and education purposes then motivates the development of an educational game “Merah Putih” on the Android platform that provides information on Indonesian Culture. The methodology used for development is Waterfall methodology which consists of analysis method for information gathering, system design, implementation, and testing or testing of information on Indonesian Culture presented in this educational game. Test results obtained are a lot of information provided in this set can be accepted or captured by players and considered useful for the learning of players. Besides, overall can be stated that the level of satisfaction of players against educational game “Merah Putih” is considered quite high.
