Increased accessibility and efficiency in travel information services are in high demand as a result of technological developments. In order to better understand how UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) design principles might help tourism information services, this study used the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) checklist technique to examine the existing literature. The research takes the form of a systematic review that looks at the ways in which UI/UX affects things like user participation, knowledge retention, and happiness. The results prove that putting the user first in UI/UX design increases the efficiency and happiness of travel resources for everyone involved. Improved information retrieval and user engagement can be achieved through the strategic use of visual design components, interactive features, and personal experiences. The research shows how crucial it is to cater UI/UX to the specific requirements of the intended users. The importance of using the PRISMA checklist approach to perform a thorough and open literature review is also highlighted. Based on the findings of this research, tourism service providers can better apply UI/UX design concepts to their information services, resulting in a more satisfying experience for their customers. To further improve UI/UX, studies could investigate specific design methods and technological developments in the tourism information services industry. As a whole, bringing together UI and UX design principles has the potential to completely change the way people interact with the tourism business. © 2023 ACM.

Internet of Things is a paradigm that aims at connectivity for everything, such as computing devices, machines, objects, people and so on. Messaging protocols and electronic platforms are needed in the implementation of Internet of Things(IoT) based smart homes. These messaging protocols and electronic platforms enable the communication between home appliances and devices to happen. This paper would like to determine the commonly used messaging protocols and electronic platforms, and the messaging protocols' performance comparison, in building smart homes purposes, by conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Based on our study, we found out that the commonly used messaging protocols are MQTT, CoAP, AMQP and DDS, and it shows that MQTT performs better than other protocols as it has wide network bandwidth and a low size packets transferred. The commonly used electronic platforms are Raspberry Pi, Arduino and DDS. © 2022 The Authors. Published by ELSEVIER B.V.

The 'FutureMe' website is a website for sending letters to the future that has a system for writing letters to yourself or other people for a predetermined period in the future. The 'FutureMe' website also contains several collections of letters from other people who are anonymous and contain inspiring emotional messages. In the process of developing the 'FutureMe' website, it is necessary to measure the User Experience (UX). UX measurement is important to do to measure whether FutureMe has met the experience dimensions for users and whether it can be used properly. In this study, we will try to measure and analyze how UX is related to some of the features on the 'FutureMe' website. In conducting UX research on the 'FutureMe' website, the research instrument used was the UEQ (User Experience Questionnaire) or commonly known as the questionnaire technique. The choice of a questionnaire to measure UX on the 'FutureMe' website is because it is very efficient and fast. In this study, we managed to measure the features of the 'FutureMe' website and show what UX dimensions should be evaluated to improve UX on the 'FutureMe' website. The results showed that the website UX system 'FutureMe' excels in the Stimulation scale dimension with a total mean value of 1,492, while Perspicuity is the dimension with the lowest total mean value of 0,980. © 2023 IEEE.

To perform data search, there are various algorithms that have been developed, such as binary search and interpolation search. There are various views on these two algorithms, regarding which one is better than the other. From the various views that have emerged, this study aims to find out which algorithm is more efficient in terms of time complexity and memory complexity using Big-O notation, as well as its execution time in the C programming language. This research was conducted with 6 datasets consisting of 3 datasets with uniform data types and 3 datasets with non-uniform data types. Each dataset type consists of 1 million, 10 million, and 100 million data. The results show that the binary search algorithm is more efficient to use rather than interpolation search on datasets that are not uniformly distributed or the data type is unknown. While the interpolation search algorithm is more efficient to use rather than binary search on datasets that are known to be uniformly distributed. © 2023 IEEE.

Facial Expression movement could analyze the true meaning behind the person's intention, but people could lie and fabricate their real expression by restraining the facial muscle. However, multitasking and restraining, both facial and body movement could reveal their true intention. Facial and body movement studies have been conducted to study the true meaning behind someone's movement. Through these studies, we will subtract a few methods that are accurate to the true result through the testing that have been conducted. We proposed the utilization of Seetaface method and a hybrid of deep learning approach with inertial sensors to analyze human true emotions. Through the Seetaface method, we will analyze the person's facial movement, which consists of the important facial features such as eyes, nose and mouth. Subsequently, the hybrid of deep data and facial features will detect and analyze a person's body movement through a camera and record it to the body models data. After successfully processing both of the methods, our findings show that facial detection is capable of pointing to the facial feature and expression of important features, however hindered by face shifting and obstruction. In body detection, the true action matched 100% successfully with the prediction of the action result after further evaluation using hybrid best results. © 2023 IEEE.

Surveillance systems, particularly AI-based ones, play a crucial role in enhancing public security. However, they have also raised significant concerns about privacy due to the sensitive nature of the collected and analyzed data. This research highlights the importance of data privacy without compromising the accuracy of AI-based surveillance systems. We propose the integration of two privacy-preserving methods, Federated Learning (FL) and Differential Privacy (DP), to enhance the security and privacy of data used in the training and testing processes. Federated Learning enables the training of AI models using distributed data without needing to centralize all the data on a single device. In contrast, Differential Privacy offers a statistical framework that safeguards individual data points throughout the training process. Both methods were implemented individually and combined on the chosen AI model. Our findings reveal a trade-off between privacy preservation and model accuracy when applying these privacy-preserving techniques to an AI surveillance system. While there was a reduction in overall accuracy, privacy preservation capabilities yielded satisfactory results. Notably, the optimal results were obtained when combining Federated Learning and Differential Privacy with a noise multiplier of 0.6 and 50 devices participating in the federated learning process, yielded an overall solid accuracy of 69.33, and maintained acceptable confidence levels across different categories. This configuration underscores the need for a careful balance between privacy protection and model performance in AI surveillance systems, opening avenues for future research on refining these techniques. The community’s food security was disrupted during the Covid-19 pandemic where some people lost their jobs. Aquaponic is an alternative solution because of the limited space for cultivation caused by land conversion from fields to housing and tourist areas. Irrigation and maintenance of conventional cultivation are also limited. Aquaponics needs attention because the system will affect each other. The purpose of this study is to provide convenience for aquaponics users to be able to monitor the condition of their aquaponics remotely. There are several water quality parameters that affect survival rates such as Temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), Oxidation–Reduction Potential, and Turbidities. Based on the aquaponics system that has been built, it is known that the aquaponic system has been able to obtain all the sensor parameters that have been installed and send them to the server. In the sensor accuracy test, the integrated IoT water sensors showed 96.4% for Temperature, 97.91% for turbidity sensor, 98.27% for TDS sensor and 9886% for DO sensor. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Twitter has become one of the most popular mediums for people to voice their opinions freely on any topic from around the world. Most companies use sentiment analysis from Twitter to see how well their product is. These opinions are categorized into three types which are positive, negative, and neutral sentiments. This paper focuses on Sentiment Analysis of LGBT, which has become a trending and controversial topic for society to talk about. We took these Tweets from fifty states in the United States of America and pre-process them before classifying their sentiment. We test five algorithms to classify the sentiments which are TextBlob PatternAnalyzer, Naive Bayes, Linear Support Vector Machine, Logistic Regression, and XGBoost using both non pre-processed data and pre-processed data. We found that the Logistic Regression without text-preprocessing gives us the best result with a 70.87% F1-score. After applying our sentiment classifier to the US tweets that talked about LGBT, we found that most tweets have a neutral sentiment. © 2022 The Authors. Published by ELSEVIER B.V.

This paper discusses the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) as a form to introduce the culture of Tongkonan Toraja House that holds cultural and historical values of the Toraja tribe. However, many people have an absence of understanding about Torajan culture. The purpose of this AR is to obtain knowledge and recognition by giving experiences and interactions through virtual representation of the Tongkonan Toraja House. Development uses the Waterfall approach, starting with using good 3D models, designing the layout, implementing the marker, adding interactivity, testing, and maintenance of the application. The analysis of User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) as a measurement method obtains positive evaluations by entering data from 27 respondents. The positive evaluations were obtained of the Tongkonan Toraja AR, which its values surpass 0,8. Stimulation aspect indicates a good level of excitement from the users with the mean value of 2.204, the highest mean value among other aspects. On the contrary, Efficiency received the lowest mean value of 1.981, despite the fact that its mean value is above 0.8 which indicates positive evaluation. The UEQ dimensions are categorized into attractiveness, pragmatic quality, and hedonic quality. Pragmatic quality received the lowest score, while hedonic quality obtained the highest score, with attractiveness falling in between. Overall, the findings demonstrate positive user evaluations of the Tongkonan Toraja AR across dimensions, with Stimulation receiving particular praise and Efficiency showing potential for enhancement. These results indicate that the AR experience is generally well-received, providing valuable insights for further improvements and development. © 2023 IEEE.
