Applications designed utilizing Microservices Architecture (MSA) provide the desirable trait of good maintainability. To ensure optimal maintainability, it is important to provide services that are suitable and adhere to prescribed rules. Multiple aspects must be taken into account while designing services to ensure optimal maintainability. The objective of this study is to examine the elements that impact the capacity to sustain and improve maintainability in service design, ultimately resulting in an application that possesses strong maintainability. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) will be utilized to identify variables and strategies for their enhancement, by examining pertinent publications on the subject. After examining 45 publications, the study discovered 8 elements and 14 solutions that can enhance the highlighted parameters throughout the services design process. The outcomes of this systematic literature review (SLR) are anticipated to give valuable insights to application developers, empowering them to generate service designs that exhibit commendable maintainability for the developed applications. © 2023 IEEE.

The point of Agile Methodology is continuous improvement, delivering a small feature quickly without sacrificing the feature quality;every sprint must be better than the previous sprint, and better can be fewer bugs, faster development, and testing. We will present how we reduce production bugs by customizing our sprint iteration. As we know, bugs are unavoidable, there is no software engineer that can make software without a bug;however, we can reduce bugs in production if we can find bugs in lower environments as early as possible. The case study in this paper was taken from one of technology company in Indonesia, the activity was done by the Quality Engineer (QA) Team. We will show that shift-left testing can help us reduce bugs in production. Testing is part of agile methodology, and the main idea of shift-left testing is to move testing early and could be done by any team member, not only QA. We include shift-left testing in our agile methodology for one year in 2022 and compare the result in the previous year. © 2023 IEEE.

The technique of calculating the work required for software development is known as software development estimation. The objective cost estimating technique for organizing and carrying out Multi Account Partner (MAP) software projects, COCOMO II, was employed in this study. The MAP software is a software architecture designed to support brokerage cryptocurrency exchanges using the order book and liquidity of established crypto exchanges. This research uses data sets from MAP project development at Indonesia Crypto Exchange Platform. It aims to create a software cost estimation model for MAP software using COCOMO II so that the resulting estimation model can be used as input or reference for estimates of subsequent MAP software development. The result estimated that MAP software finished in about four to five months, with a price range for software development of $7,441 to $8,780. Further research is needed with datasets from other crypto exchanges tested to increase cost estimation accuracy using COCOMO II. © 2023 IEEE.

Beautiful housing is obtained when there is a lot of automation. This is supported by the proposed Internet of Things (IoT). Smart occupancy is a system that can determine the number of people in a room;one of the techniques is to count the number of people entering the room using computer vision through Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras. With Smart Occupancy, users can detect many people in the room or occupancy. The library visitor calculation system currently relies on user interaction in writing or using an electronic presence. This study was made to assist the library in counting the number of people using Smart Occupancy. The results show that if the tool can detect people by labeling them in red, if an accuracy test is carried out, it can be correct by 88%, where this value is the valid value. Smart occupancy can be implemented as an alternative to the visitor counter system in the library. © 2023 IEEE.

Electrical energy is one of the most important human needs. Almost all human work requires electrical energy. Lack of electricity may hinder human activities. Therefore, it is important to maintain the availability of the electrical energy. This paper explores a way to reduce waste of electricity use through the implementation of the Internet of things (IoT). We introduce an IoT system that expands the function of the internet that allows us to control household appliances properly and efficiently, enabling us to monitor the cost of usage every month. The proposed system is implemented at the Campus Academy computer Management and Informatics (AMKI) Ketapang to control and monitor lights in the computer Laboratory and Terrace Campus. This system utilizes Raspberry Pi 3, LDR sensors, Relays, and software like PHP and Raspbian Linux. The evaluation results have shown that the proposed IoT system has reduced the monthly cost of electricity. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

The measurement of information security risk in a public sector organization is of utmost importance. This measurement serves the purpose of taking appropriate actions in response to potential risks or damaging incidents. The objective of this study is to develop a straightforward yet smart decision model capable of evaluating risks, particularly within the public sector organization. The decision support modelling (DSM) concept is employed as a framework to construct a computer model that supports decision-making in a specific case. The study comprises five stages, which are integral parts of the DSM process. These stages include analyzing the case, examining relevant documents, designing the model, constructing the model, and evaluating the finalized model. The object-oriented method serves as a fundamental approach to model design. Additionally, the fuzzy logic method, an intelligent computational technique, plays a central role in the development of this decision model. The proposed model demonstrates an average error value of 0.05 when compared to the actual risk measurement conducted. Furthermore, it reveals average risk values of 0.59 and 0.45 for the pre-and post-remediation scenarios, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

Education is one of the most important part in our life. But through the centuries, the learning methods used have remained the same. Until now, most learning in schools still use traditional learning media such as books, blackboards, or even just using the lecture method. This method has several drawbacks. In dealing with this problem, Mixed Reality can be an option. This technology offers more immersive and interactive learning for students. But based on previous research, the implementation of MR has various impacts, from positive to negative. This research examines the comparison between mixed reality learning method and traditional method in enhancing the effectiveness of learning. The potential effectiveness of Mixed Reality as a learning method will be compared to the effectiveness of traditional learning methods. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 100 students. Based on the data, it can be concluded that more than 90% of students consider learning with mixed reality to be more effective than traditional methods. However, several challenges were identified, such as lack of funding, insufficient human resources with understanding of mixed reality technology, and slow adaptation of students and teachers to this technology. Therefore, this research suggests the need for efforts to improve access and utilization of mixed reality technology in education. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Several diseases, such as Brain Stroke, are one of the causes of death, one that can be utilized in disease detection, especially Brain Stroke, is Machine Learning (ML), several models that can be used in predicting the likelihood of a patient having a brain stroke are one of them;Logistic Regression, SVM, XGBoost, Naïve Bayes, Extra Tree, CatBoost Classification, LightGBM, Random Forest, Decision Tree, Gradient Boosting, k-NN. Some studies are still little using model interpretation and Model Performance using Mean Cross-Validation Scores. The Study aims to examine the accuracy-based classification performance of various ML models and interpret the model using SelectKBest to fill this little research gap. The results show that CatBoost has the best accuracy of 94.3% and SVM best model performance with Score (Mean-Cross Validation Score) of 0.951, and the 'hypertension' and 'heart_disease' features are the most influential features based on the K Score (SelectKBest), where the results are '72,928' and '74,706'. © 2023 IEEE.

Hydroponic farming is limited by inefficient monitoring and maintenance, which can affect plant growth and yield. This paper proposes using IoT technology, specifically a combination of STM32 microcontroller and sensors with 4G connection to cloud, to automate the monitoring and maintenance of hydroponic plants. The system monitors water and air temperature, pH, and TDS, and controls the hydroponics by adding nutrient in the form of AB mix. An automatic decision maker is built using KNN with an accuracy of 92.86% based on Euclidean distance algorithm. This technology could optimize the growth of hydroponic plants, as it provides continuous monitoring and maintenance. © 2023 IEEE.

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an XML-based image format for two-dimensional diagrams. Made up of vectors, SVG enable image and behavior manipulation through a versatile XML-based format that can be created and edited with any text editor and many graphical editing software. With the advent of the web, SVG editing applications have become increasingly available to the public. However, in order to be able to serve users the ability to edit vector graphics in real-time, the performance of the editor plays a significant role in ensuring a smooth user experience. The goal of this study is in comparing the performance of WebAssembly and JavaScript for an SVG editor environment. Our results show that the WebAssembly implementation outperforms JavaScript in terms of execution time and memory usage. © 2024 IEEE.
