Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a prevalent mental disorder, affecting a significant number of individuals, with estimates reaching 300 million cases worldwide. Currently, the diagnosis of this condition relies heavily on subjective assessments based on the experience of medical professionals. Therefore, researchers have turned to deep learning models to explore the detection of depression. The objective of this review is to gather information on detecting depression based on facial expressions in videos using deep learning techniques. Overall, this research found that RNN models achieved 7.22 MAE for AVEC2014. LSTM models produced 4.83 MAE for DAIC-WOZ, while GRU models achieved an accuracy of 89.77% for DAIC-WOZ. Features like Facial Action Units (FAU), eye gaze, and landmarks show great potential and need to be further analyzed to improve results. Analysis can include applying feature engineering techniques. Aggregation methods, such as mean calculation, are recommended as effective approaches for data processing. This Systematic Literature Review found that facial expressions do have relevant patterns related to MDD. © 2023 IEEE.

The Electronic Application of Collaborative Rainfall Station (Elektronik Pos Hujan Kerjasama/ E-PHK) is a mobile application (android and ios based application) that can be used by observers from the observation location to the Database Centre. E-PHK is an innovation electronic application for delivering rainfall data built by Centre for Database in 2020. With E-PHK, observers can input their data through the application and send directly to the Database Centre while still being monitored by the Provincial Data Coordinator Station. Around +/- 5000 collaborative rainfall station, until February 2022, there are 80% have sent their rainfall data through E-PHK. This is inseparable from the BMKG's internal support, where 91.3% (69 employees of the Collaborative Provincial Climatological Observation Coordinator Station) agreed that observers should send their rainfall data through the E-PHK application. The support from 98.3% (2522 observers) observers who agreed that the E-PHK application could make sending rainfall data faster to the BMKG Centre, and 97.8% among them agreed that using the E-PHK application could increase observer productivity. These results underscore the effectiveness of E-PHK in improving the speed and efficiency of rainfall data delivery. © 2024 IEEE.

People with hearing impairments exist in our society, whether we realize it or not. It is not easy for them to communicate with us, the ones without hearing disabilities, and they often receive a lot of mistreatment. Since we don't learn about sign language and don't know where to start, our knowledge about sign language is also limited. This paper explains the making of Deafvoir-a visual novel game about sign language-as well as why it is developed and how it can help the deaf and us learn sign language. By conducting a survey and asking how familiar sign language is to some people and their response about Deafvoir, we can move forward to realize this sign language learning visual novel video game and make it local-based before going international. With this video game, it is hoped to make Indonesia's younger generation, especially Gen Z, understand and be able to use sign language whenever they encounter the deaf in real life. © 2023 The Authors. "Nyctophy": Assessing the effectiveness of serious game for nyctophobia based on virtual reality by usability and heart rate monitoring

Nyctophobia is a phobia of the dark and is common among children but also found in adults. While the phobia itself is commonly known, the diversity of its treatment is still minimal. As technology has reached its highest point, numerous inventions and innovations have emerged in the medical sector. This study aimed to examine the usability of Virtual Reality and Keyboard and Mouse as an interface using the Extended Reality Game Usability Questionnaire (XR-GUQ) in Nyctophobia therapy and to analyze the heart rate response, impact, and implications using t-test Paired/Wilcoxon Signed Rank. Thirty-four bina nusantara University students from various backgrounds completed the test using interfaces and a smartwatch. They were divided into two groups, high- and low fear, using the modified Acrophobia Questionnaire (AQ), which resulted in a significant difference. The XR-GUQ result was insignificant in all variables, which indicates similar usability scores on both interfaces. The t-test Paired/Wilcoxon Signed Rank test revealed a significant difference between the high- and low-fear groups when using the Virtual Reality interface compared to the Keyboard and Mouse interface. This significant difference was found within each group regardless of the interface used. This research shows similar scores in terms of usability but a significant difference in heart rate response with the help of a serious game to give a new sensation of phobia therapy.

The Information Technology/Operational Technology convergence towards Industry 4.0 opens the opportunity to leverage recent advancements in Information Technology for Operational Technology, such as Cloud, Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, cyber-attacks are increasing for Operational Technology. The security aspect in Operational Technology systems has traditionally been a low priority, in contrast with speed. This introduces challenges as Industrial Control Systems such as programmable Logic Controller in Operational Technology have been traditionally optimized for speed rather than security due to limited computing power. As computations need to be as efficient as possible, security in Operational Technology has yet to be managed as robustly as in Information Technology. Operational Technology communication protocols for securing data transfer, for example, have no or just a few security capabilities, even for basic authentication and encryption. Common security algorithms rely on random numbers. However, Random Number Generator is not usually part of standard functions in programmable Logic Controllers, the core control component in Industrial Control Systems. In Industrial Control Systems, the Random Number Generator is mostly implemented as a software-based Pseudo Random Number Generator. This paper shows how to apply a Pseudo Random Number Generator in a Siemens Compact PLC S7-1200 using a modified lightweight XORshift algorithm. The XORshift algorithm can generate better randomness than the system's clock-based implementation in the Siemens Library of Generic Functions. © 2023 IEEE.

Interior architecture, a dynamic field meeting evolving community needs, plays a pivotal role in enhancing built environments. D'Fastint, an interior design services provider, developed a mobile app for client interactions. Before its full release, a comprehensive User Experience (UX) evaluation via the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) was conducted. The primary goal was to assess user satisfaction, pinpoint areas lacking in meeting expectations, and plan improvements. The evaluation revealed that the Novelty dimension scored the lowest average (1.234), while the Attractiveness dimension scored the highest (1.677). Overall, users expressed satisfaction, happiness, and motivation with the D'Fastint app. This research provides a novel perspective on interior architecture services and mobile app utilization, addressing unique user needs and preferences. In the context of related works, our study enriches the discourse on UX evaluations and their implications for mobile apps in interior architecture services. It emphasizes the significance of preemptive evaluation and continuous improvement for exceptional user experiences. © 2023 IEEE.

The industry is rapidly transitioning from the 4.0 era to the 5.0 era, prompting renewed interest among scholars in scheduling problems. They allow operations to process and assemble various components simultaneously. This bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of the diverse research perspectives on the potential challenges of integrated scheduling within the framework. We identified 357 Scopus articles and analysed co-occurrence keyword (CNK) by VOSViewer tools and Global Citation Score (GCS) by Scopus tools. The research data obtained from 1993 to 2023 mainly in the subject areas of Engineering, computer science, Maths, and others. CNK identified six cluster keywords, and nine most cited articles based on normalised GCS. These results contribute to our understanding of the development of scheduling algorithms, shifting from an emphasis on manufacturing transfers to contemporary demand-centric research directions. Furthermore, this research provides a valuable perspective for policymakers, plant personnel, and manufacturing managers to make informed decisions. © 2025 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Indonesia is a country rich in natural and cultural resources, one of the cultural products is traditional culinary. It has a distinct diversity that reflects the social life, culture, community order, lifestyle, and spirituality of its era. Traditional cuisine has symbolic connotations that communicate significant messages rooted in local wisdom. It is critical for the next generation to preserve this local knowledge since it embodies the energy and wisdom of an entire nation of people. In order to appeal to the younger generation, traditional Indonesian cuisine needs to be modernized and preserved. This study aims to create Kulinaria, an AR marker-based with a website to publish the marker, therefore it can be accessed internationally to introduce Indonesian cuisine. Also, expanding other related studies by developing an interactive AR that responds to markers and tests the effective distance range with distinct color as marker. The AR app was developed in Unity 3D with Vuforia SDK and the website is structured in the form of a landing page with several menus. At the end of the development, application testing was implemented to measure app speed, scalability, and stability to load the 3D objects. The testing results show that in a distance of 20 cm to 80 cm 3D objects can appear. Meanwhile, in the angle testing, a 3D object can appear at an angle of 15° to 45°. © 2023 IEEE.

Higher education worldwide has adopted Video-Based Learning (VBL) over the past decade. They have tried to build a VBL system to improve services to students. However, the researcher's topic was not fully explored, especially in making the video itself. What features are mandatory and must be considered in making a video lecture to increase student engagement. A systematic review of the literature (SLR) is a way to identify these features. This study provides a critical analysis of the current research in VBL over the last five years (2017 - 2021). It presents a general trend examining 1336 journals and many literary works related to VBL design in Higher Education, selected through a stepwise process based on PRISMA Framework guidelines, using pre-defined selection criteria. We carefully selected 32 journals and found 22 features referring to the Lecture Video Design succession. © 2023 ACM.

Comparative analysis of machine learning and survival analysis for breast cancer prediction

Breast cancer cases are an alarming problem for several countries and are among other female diseases which are in the top list of population ill-health. To overcome this obstacle, it is crucial to develop reliable predictive models with high accuracy to maximize impact on early detection of breast cancer. Since we want to contrast two different models in studying patient death from breast cancer, our goal is to evaluate these models for their accuracy. The Cox model outperforms the Survival Random Forest in terms of survival probability, with a C-index of 0.757 and an AUC of 0.8561 compared to the Survival Random Forest's C-index and AUC of 0.5837. Furthermore, the Cox model's superiority is proved by its feature selection score of 46.72174, whereas the Survival Random Forest has no similar metrics. Additionally, Random Forest shows superior performance with higher precision in identifying survival probabilities with perfect specificity (100%), precision (100%), and overall accuracy (96.8%), versus 91.3%, 71.4%, and 83.9% for Naive Bayes. Random Forest is a more reliable solution for accurately anticipating both positive and negative cases due of its adaptability and zero false positive rate.
