technology and information will always develop dynamically;this statement demands programmers to always be creative and keep up with the times. Despite this, their work ethic is always the same and tends to stagnate. programmers' perspectives on their workplace: this perspective is rarely seen as important and the opportunity for a comprehensive study is still widely open. This study aims to conduct a systematic literacy study to ascertain that the workplace has a crucial relationship with a programmer's performance. The focus of the study includes a discussion of how programmers relate to their workplace in a tech company, benchmarking between various office layouts, and criteria that can be derived from the literature review regarding a degree of whether such a workplace is good or bad. The proper base facts are obtained. Nevertheless, the two entities are proven to be interrelated to each other. Such correlations are derived into tangible metrics and parameters (e.g., human cognitive, cultural, physical, behavioral, etc.). Relating issues regarding these topics are also presented. © 2023 IEEE.

Hate speech is any act of provoking or insulting another person or group based on their ethnicity, religion, race, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, or other characteristics. This can be done in a variety of ways. Because of this, a study was conducted that focused on ascertaining the most effective technique for identifying hate speech. It was discovered that LSTM, a form of recurrent neural network (RNN) that is particularly good at modeling sequential data, is the most successful technique to apply. Many natural language processing (NLP) activities may be performed with it, including hate speech detection, which makes LSTM have advantages over other techniques, both in terms of long-term memory mechanisms. LSTM, also able to handle long and complex text sequences, capable of recognizing more complex patterns, able to understand and consider the context in the text, to recognize the meaning of a word or phrase in a broader context. Then, based on the dataset obtained from the Kaggle website with a total of 24783 data, then the dataset is divided into training data and validation data, with a ratio of training data to validation data. of 80%: 20%. Then, the testing step results in an accuracy value of 87.10%. © 2023 IEEE.

Fake news so called made-up news intended to cause misinformation is identified as Hoax. In Indonesia, hoaxes could not be ignored, fairly low literacy rate is the cause of hoaxes could spread quickly in Indonesia, to make it even worse, there are so many people would believe in hoaxes without any intention to make sure of the integrity of the news. even the media in Indonesia are competing with one another to provide content with provocative names in the hopes of increasing their rating and reaching as many people as possible. In the course of this research, a method for identifying authors on the basis of their writings will be developed to reduce the spread of hoaxes and encourage people to re-evaluate their decision to create harmful content and hoax news in the future. In this investigation, a transformer-based methodology focusing on IndoBERTbase, IndoBERTbase-uncased, and IndoBERTtweet will be employed in conjunction with the self-collected Indonesian tweet data that will be crawled from Indonesian Social Actor Focused on politicians in Twitter and will be combined with another topic in the future study. This research has shown a promising 98,93% in Training Accuracy using IndoBERTtweet. © 2023 IEEE.

The increasing complexity of cyber attacks, including 0-day vulnerabilities and APTs, has rendered traditional defenses like firewalls and IDS/IPS insufficient. Honeypots have been proposed as a solution to detect and analyze new attack types by simulating vulnerable systems and capturing malicious activities. However, the deployment of honeypots introduces unique risks, necessitating a comprehensive threat modeling approach to mitigate potential drawbacks. This paper explores the intersection of threat modeling and honeypot deployment, identifying threats, and proposing effective mitigation strategies. We applied a threat model adapted from a simplified PASTA framework based on risk-centric and proposed mitigation plans such as network segmentation, outbound traffic filtering, resource monitoring, and regular updates. Additionally, we discussed alternative honeypot deployments outside the organization's internal network to avoid arising risks. We found that deploying high-interaction honeypots carries high risks due to a broader attack flow. The novelty of this study lies in adapting the attack-flow approach for honeypot threat modeling, providing a structured method to analyze and mitigate honeypot-specific threats. Future research directions include conducting long-term studies and detailed case studies to further optimize the interaction between honeypot deployments and threat modeling for enhanced security outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

Water is an important substance for the human body. Clean water is important for not just the human body, but also for the environment. In this paper, Prisma is used to filter many of the reference paper where the paper left are used for the research. Machine learning is one of many ways to predict water quality. Using algorithms to process large amounts of data and patterns, water quality can be predicted. Prediction on water temperature, pH, and others can be used to find bad quality water and potentially find the cure for it. There are also different kinds of environment in predicting water quality, where depending on the environment certain machine learning method is better than the others. This paper contains machine learning methods, water parameters, and areas of water for water quality prediction. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, a watermarking technique based on discrete curvelet transform and discrete cosine trans- form is proposed to protect the color document images. The six layers of the document image are created using the Discrete Curvelet Transform (DCuT). The sixth layer is chosen for the embedding process, while the remaining layers are discarded. Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) is applied on the 8 × 8 blocks of the real part of sixth layer. DCT coefficients from low to medium are selected for the embedding process, excluding the first one. To choose the Direct Current (DC) coefficients of DCT to embed the watermark bits, a zigzag function is used. The same process is applied on the receiver side watermark image is extracted. Since this is a non-blind method, we require both a cover image and a watermarked image. DCT of watermarked image and the cover image are compared to extract the watermark image. The resistivity of the watermarked image against image processing attacks is measured using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM), Mean Square Error (MSE), Normalization Correlation (NC), Bit Error Rate (BER) and Universal Quality Index (UQI). © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Semi-supervised learning has been an important approach to address challenges in extracting entities and relations from limited data. However, current semi-supervised works handle the two tasks (i.e., Named Entity Recognition and Relation Extraction) separately and ignore the cross-correlation of entity and relation instances as well as the existence of similar instances across unlabeled data. To alleviate the issues, we propose Jointprop, a Heterogeneous Graph-based Propagation framework for joint semi-supervised entity and relation extraction, which captures the global structure information between individual tasks and exploits interactions within unlabeled data. Specifically, we construct a unified span-based heterogeneous graph from entity and relation candidates and propagate class labels based on confidence scores. We then employ a propagation learning scheme to leverage the affinities between labelled and unlabeled samples. Experiments on benchmark datasets show that our framework outperforms the state-of-the-art semi-supervised approaches on NER and RE tasks. We show that the joint semi-supervised learning of the two tasks benefits from their codependency and validates the importance of utilizing the shared information between unlabeled data. © 2023 Association for Computational Linguistics.

The annotation of medical images for the purpose of segmentation demands a high level of expertise and experience, and the generation of suitable datasets represents a significant challenge. In this study, we propose a method that facilitates annotation on a whole slide image (WSI) without requiring detailed specification of the lesion area. The objective is to enable annotation without the need for specialised knowledge. In particular, the WSI is divided into smaller regions for annotation purposes, with the proportion of lesions in each region being compared with reference images of similar regions, for which the proportion of lesions is known. The proportion of lesions in the reference small region image deemed to be most analogous is then designated as the annotation. The outcomes of an annotation experiment on multiple subjects based on this approach indicated that as the level of experience of the annotator increased, the variability in the accuracy rate diminished. This suggests that the annotators had acquired knowledge and skills through the process of annotation. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, the authors investigate the current state of the lighting design and control sector in Thailand's creative industry. The government aims to promote the creative industry as a key source of income, but there needs more skilled professionals in the industry. The authors have found that successful cases have used the Internet for remote controlling in the creative industry in other countries. Therefore, the paper will explore the potential of using technology to improve professional efficiency and assess the feasibility of implementing remote lighting control systems via the Internet with Thai lighting designers and lighting console operators. Data will be collected through qualitative in-depth interviews and quantitative surveys. The results have shown a promising acceptance rate of wireless devices for lighting control due to their mobility, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and positive attitudes toward adopting Internet technology. The authors have also proposed a concept design for an internet-based control system tailored to Thai users, focusing on simplicity, ease of connection, and user-friendliness to accommodate those with limited network configuration knowledge. The proposed system aims to reduce professionals, save time, and increase convenience, leveraging Thailand's extensive wireless internet coverage. These systems could significantly benefit Thailand's creative industry by addressing the shortage of skilled professionals and improving efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

The rise of smart cities is directly connected to the increasing use of vehicles. The growing vehicle utilization has driven the emergence of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), facilitating instant information exchange among vehicles. The system provides essential information regarding road conditions, traffic patterns, and more relevant data. VANETs encompass two fundamental categories of communication exchanges, namely Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I). V2I technology facilitates the integration of cars and transportation infrastructure, enabling effective communication between vehicles and infrastructure. Nevertheless, the potential of V2I communication has various security concerns arising from prevalent security threats. Current authentication techniques encounter challenges regarding complexity, security, and privacy considerations. We designed a hash-based lightweight and anonymous authentication scheme to address the aforementioned restrictions and enhance the effectiveness of authentication in V2I architecture. This scheme effectively combines identity, password, and bio-metric to enhance resistance against impersonation, denial of service, and privileged insider attacks. The devised scheme distinguishes itself by a comparative analysis and security proofs, highlighting its superior capability in guaranteeing secure authentication in V2I communication. The comprehensive security analysis conducted formally and informally showcases the robustness of the proposed solution against several threats. The performance evaluation results show that our scheme demonstrates a decrease in the computational cost of 51.40% approximately and a reduction in communication overhead of around 22.57%. These results establish the efficiency and scalability of the proposed scheme as a viable solution for V2I architecture. © 2000-2011 IEEE.
