This article will be described replication system of oracle database standard edition by utilizing traditional archived log, because in this database version doesn't have replication feature like in oracle database enterprise edition. The research methodology which being used by this research are data collection, analysis, and design. Literature study is used for data collection methods. Analyze current replication system such as data-guard and Golden-gate are used for analysis methods. Design is method by development of prototype application to run extract, transport and recovery function for source and target database. The result of this research is a replicator application prototype for oracle database standard edition by utilizing traditional archived log was created by transaction at database. The conclusions of this are replication performance by utilizing traditional archived log has quite similarly function compared by data-guard that exist in Oracle enterprise edition in terms of data replication. © 2018 The Authors. Time metamaterials exhibit a great potential for wave manipulation, drawing increasing attention in recent years. Here, we explore the exotic wave dynamics of an anisotropic photonic time crystal (APTC), formed by an anisotropic medium whose optical properties are uniformly and periodically changed in time. Based on a temporal transfer matrix formalism, we show that a stationary charge embedded in an APTC emits radiation, in contrast to the case of isotropic photonic time crystals, and its distribution in momentum space is controlled by the APTC band structure. Our approach extends the functionalities of time metamaterials, offering new opportunities for radiation generation and control, with implications for both classical and quantum applications. Solid-state quantum emitters (QEs) are fundamental in photonic-based quantum information processing. There is strong interest to develop high-quality QEs in III-nitride semiconductors because of their sophisticated manufacturing driven by large and growing applications in optoelectronics, high voltage power transistors, and microwave amplifiers. Here, we report the generation and direct integration of QEs in an aluminium nitride-based photonic integrated circuit platform. For individual waveguide-integrated QEs, we measure an off-chip count rate exceeding 6 × 104 counts per second (cps) (saturation rate > 8.6 × 104 cps). In an unpatterned thin-film sample, we measure antibunching with g(2)(0) ~ 0.05 and photon count rates exceeding 8 × 105 cps (saturation rate > 1 × 106 cps). Although spin and detailed optical linewidth measurements are left for future work, these results already show the potential for high-quality QEs monolithically integrated in a wide range of III-nitride device technologies that would enable new quantum device opportunities and industrial scalability. The problem with telecommunications companies today is that transactional data is more extensive than existing source tables. This makes business reporting less efficient and overwhelms query processing results in data warehouses so that they do not meet business requirements. The fast and complex evolution of the digital world must be scalable to the data warehouse process, so that the authors implement it in the data warehouse using massive parallel processing (MPP) with the Greenplum database, so that business users can get reports faster and more optimally. This case study explains how the MPP system implements and measures the performance of the Greenplum database by performing complex queries in the data warehouse with parallel processing. Therefore, this case study analyzes whether the use of MPP systems can measure the scalability of throughput and the response time in the data warehouse so that system performance in the Greenplum database remains stable for daily, weekly, and monthly operations. © 2018 The Authors. Influence of Dentin Priming with Tannin-Rich Plant Extracts on the Longevity of Bonded Composite Restorations

Objective. This in vitro study evaluated the influence of bioactive plant extracts as dentin biomodifying agents to improve the longevity of bonded restorations. For that, plant extracts were applied to the dentin surface prior to the adhesive system. Materials and Methods. Bovine incisors were ground flat to obtain 2 mm thick slices in which conical preparations were made (N = 10). Tannin-containing plant extracts were applied to dentin before the application of the restorative system, as follows: control group (untreated, CTL), chlorhexidine 0.12% (CHX), mastruz (Dysphania ambrosioides, MTZ), cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa, CTC), guarana (Paullinia cupana, GUA), galla chinensis (Rhus chinensis, GCH), and tannic acid (extracted from Acacia decurrens, TNA). The push-out bond strength test was conducted (0.5 mm/min). Dentin biomodification was assessed by the modulus of elasticity and mass change in bovine tooth sections (0.5 × 1.7 × 7.0 mm). The dentin staining after extract treatments of dentin slices was compared. The dentin surface wettability was also evaluated by means of the contact angles of the adhesive system with the dentin surface and compared with the untreated control group. Data were subjected to ANOVA/Tukey's test (α = 0.05). Results. The bond strength of the restoratives to dentin was not significantly improved by the plant extracts, irrespective of the evaluation time (p>0.05). Except for TNA, the elastic modulus of demineralized dentin significantly reduced after treatment with the plant extracts (p<0.05). The dentin staining correlated with the tannin content of the extracts. The contact angle was significantly reduced when treated with CTC, GCH, and TNA. Conclusions. The tannin-containing extracts had a questionable effect on the longevity of bonded restorations. The dentin modulus was negatively affected by the extract treatments. The goal of this work is the accurate prediction of millimeter-wave received power leveraging both radio frequency (RF) signals and heterogeneous visual data from multiple distributed cameras, in a communication and energy-efficient manner while preserving data privacy. To this end, firstly focusing on data privacy, we propose heteromodal split learning with feature aggregation (HetSLAgg) that splits neural network (NN) models into camera-side and base station (BS)-side segments. The BS-side NN segment fuses RF signals and uploaded image features without collecting raw images. However, the usage of multiple visual data leads to an increase in NN input dimensions, which gives rise to additional communication and energy costs. To overcome additional communication and energy costs due to image interpolation to blend different frame rates, we propose a novel BS-side manifold mixup technique that offloads the interpolation operations from cameras to a BS. Subsequently, we confront energy costs for operating a larger size of the BS-side NN segment due to concatenating image features across cameras and propose an energy-efficient aggregation method. This is done via a linear combination of image features instead of concatenating them, where the NN size is independent of the number of cameras. Comprehensive test-bed experiments with measured channels demonstrate that HetSLAgg reduces the prediction error by 44% compared to a baseline leveraging only RF received power. Moreover, the experiments show that the designed HetSLAgg achieves over 20% gains in terms of communication and energy cost reduction compared to several baseline designs within at most 1% of accuracy loss. Cellular metabolism is dynamic, but quantifying non-steady metabolic fluxes by stable isotope tracers presents unique computational challenges. Here, we developed an efficient 13 C-tracer dynamic metabolic flux analysis (13C-DMFA) framework for modeling central carbon fluxes that vary over time. We used B-splines to generalize the flux parameterization system and to improve the stability of the optimization algorithm. As proof of concept, we investigated how 3T3-L1 cultured adipocytes acutely metabolize glucose in response to insulin. Insulin rapidly stimulates glucose uptake, but intracellular pathways responded with differing speeds and magnitudes. Fluxes in lower glycolysis increased faster than those in upper glycolysis. Glycolysis fluxes rose disproportionally larger and faster than the tricarboxylic acid cycle, with lactate a primary glucose end product. The uncovered array of flux dynamics suggests that glucose catabolism is additionally regulated beyond uptake to help shunt glucose into appropriate pathways. This work demonstrates the value of using dynamic intracellular fluxes to understand metabolic function and pathway regulation.

In a Website Fingerprinting (WF) attack, a local, passive eavesdropper utilizes network flow information to identify which web pages a user is browsing. Previous researchers have extensively demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of WF, but only under the strong Single Page Assumption: the network flow extracted by the adversary always belongs to a single page. In other words, the WF classifier will never be asked to classify a network flow corresponding to more than one page, or part of a page. The Single Page Assumption is unrealistic because people often browse with multiple tabs. When this happens, the network flow induced by multiple tabs will overlap, and current WF attacks fail to classify correctly. Our work demonstrates the feasibility of WF with the relaxed Single Page Assumption: we can attack a client who visits more than one pages simultaneously. We propose a multi-tab website fingerprinting attack that can accurately classify multi-tab web pages if they are requested and sequentially loaded over a short period of time. In particular, we develop a new BalanceCascade-XGBoost scheme for an attacker to identify the start point of the second page such that the attacker can accurately classify and identify these multi-tab pages. By developing a new classifier, we only use a small chunk of packets, i.e., packets between the first page's start time to the second page's start time, to fingerprint website. Our experiments demonstrate that in the multi-tab scenario, WF attacks are still practically effective. We have an average TPR of 92.58% on SSH, and we can also averagely identify the page with a TPR of 64.94% on Tor. Specially, compared with previous WF classifiers, our attack achieves a significantly higher true positive rate using a restricted chunk of packets. © 2018 Association for Computing Machinery.

A complex product can be described in terms of its product architecture. There are two product architectures: integral and modular. Advantages of modular products have been noted in the literature. Maximizing modularity is a critical issue in modular product design. In this study, a polynomial approximation algorithm with a 0.422 approximation ratio is proposed to find hidden modules. It is observed that better modularity can be achieved when the product is partitioned into 3 to 8 modules. Numerical experiments with applications in the products of bicycle, starter, and fruit chute system are conducted to illustrate the developed algorithm. Performance of the algorithm is demonstrated by comparisons with other well-known algorithms.

Aims: Precocious puberty (PP) may lead to many adverse outcomes. Recent evidence suggests that PP is a gut–brain disease. On the other hand, the use of glycyrrhizin, a natural sweetener, has become popular in the past decade. Glycyrrhizin possesses various health benefits, but its impact on PP has yet to be investigated. We aimed to explore the protective effects of glycyrrhizin against PP in both humans (observational) and animals (interventional). Materials and methods: In the human cohort, we investigated the association between glycyrrhizin consumption and risk of PP. In the animal experiment, we observed puberty onset after feeding danazol-induced PP rats with glycyrrizin. Blood, fecal, and hypothalamic samples were harvested to evaluate potential mechanistic pathways. We also performed a fecal microbiota transplantation to confirm to causal relationship between glycyrrhizin and PP risk. Key findings: Glycyrrhizin exhibited a protective effect against PP in children (OR 0.60, 95%CI: 0.39–0.89, p = 0.013), primarily driven by its significance in girls, while no significant effect was observed in boys. This effect was consistent with findings in rodents. These benefits were achieved through the modulation of the gut microbiome, which functionally suppressed the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis and prevented PP progression. A fecal microbiota transplantation indicated that the causal correlation between glycyrrhizin intake and PP is mediated by the gut microbiome alterations. Significance: Our findings suggest that glycyrrhizin can protect against PP by altering the gut microbiome. Long term use of glycyrrhizin is safe and tolerable. Therefore, glycyrrhizin can serve as a safe and affordable complementary therapy for PP. © 2024 Elsevier Inc.
