Sports science is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary science that strives to increase athletic performance and endurance. Sport science recognizes and prevents injuries. Sensors and statistics formalize Sports science. Runners need coaches and teams to support them before, during, and after the run race. Coaches generate running training plans to boost performance. Running race performances may be impacted by air pollution exposure while training, so coaches should consider limiting air pollution exposure when training. One of the external factors is Particulate Matter (PM 2.5 and PM 10 ). Sensors connecting to the Internet can record external factors and produce csv data. The foundation of supervised machine learning is the labeling process. Labeling a set of data is one of the laborious and time-consuming phases in every machine-learning application because it requires verifying the accuracy of the labels and making any necessary revisions. This research aimed to find a solution to automatically label numerous air particulate matter raw data using a rule based on parameters to reduce manual work, human errors and faster processes. This labeled data will later be used for supervised machine learning classification to support the coach in generating training programs for the runners in a Sports Information System. Based on Indonesia Air Quality index rule-based approach, labeled text data in csv has been generated and tested with PM 2.5 and PM 10 parameters in three scenarios with a 100% success rate. It was possible to automate the labeling process, and it explained how automation results in fast and accurate results.

A microwave kiln, made of silicon carbide and ceramic fiber, commonly employs in a household glassware production process. In this process, when the kiln was in a microwave oven, a microwave transmitted to the kiln generating a high temperature to fuse the glass inside. This article presents a thermal simulation to investigate the temperature inside the kiln based on multiphysics consisting of a high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The multiphysics results revealed the temperature inside the kiln in a transient state, consistent with the experimental results. As expected, the temperature increased with the increasing time of the process. Significantly, the silicon carbide had higher temperatures than the ceramic fiber; therefore, silicon carbide is a crucial material for generating heat inside the kiln. In addition, the temperature-increasing rate (TIR) inside the kiln depended on the kiln's thickness (Th). As a result, the thinner Th provided better TIR. The research findings can be applied to develop a high-efficacy household glassware production process.

Learning activities are an indicator of the learner's desire to learn during the learning process. The pattern of learner action is related to learning activities. In this case, in extracting the learning process, it is necessary to collect a lot of data through analysis of the learning process. The purpose of this study is to recommend and report the performance of an activity tracking system equipped with visual artifacts as an educational data mining approach to analyze action patterns when learners complete the arrangement of program code lines in each programming problem. In this study, data were taken from activity recordings when learners used interactive learning media for a basic programming subject called TOLSYASUPI-EduMed which had problem-solving learning models embedded in their interactions. Learning Analytics is used as a method of this research and data relationships from learner actions during the learning process using the 'if-then' rule. Log data is used for recording and detecting activities carried out by learners. We confirm that the results of the study are based on the findings of the data relationship that if the lines of program code are too long (more than five lines) then almost all learners experience a bottleneck condition. The completion time of each question and the number of iterations in completing the program code lines for each question have also been recorded and have a pattern of connection between the data. The information that has been obtained is then forwarded to teachers or stakeholders as key information to make appropriate feedback to learners based on the results as a means of analyzing and evaluating the programming learning process. © 2022 IEEE.

Dynamic Measure of Hyperuniformity and Nonhyperuniformity in Heterogeneous Media via the Diffusion Spreadability

Time-dependent interphase diffusion processes in multiphase heterogeneous media are ubiquitous phenomena in physics, chemistry and biology. Examples of heterogeneous media include composites, geological media, gels, foams, and cell aggregates. The recently developed concept of spreadability, S(t), provides a direct link between time-dependent diffusive transport and the microstructure of two-phase media across length scales [Torquato, S., Phys. Rev. E., 104 054102 (2021)]. To investigate the capacity of S(t) to probe microstructures of real heterogeneous media, we explicitly compute S(t) for well-known two-dimensional and three-dimensional idealized model structures that span across nonhyperuniform and hyperuniform classes. Among the former class, we study fully penetrable spheres and equilibrium hard spheres, and in the latter class, we examine sphere packings derived from “perfect glasses,” uniformly randomized lattices (URLs), disordered stealthy hyperuniform point processes, and Bravais lattices. Hyperuniform media are characterized by an anomalous suppression of volume fraction fluctuations at large length scales compared to that of any nonhyperuniform medium. We further confirm that the small-, intermediate-, and long-time behaviors of S(t) sensitively capture the small-, intermediate-, and large-scale characteristics of the models. In instances in which the spectral density χ~V(k) has a power-law form B|k|α in the limit |k|→0, the long-time spreadability provides a simple means to extract the value of the coefficients α and B that is robust against noise in χ~V(k) at small wave numbers. For typical nonhyperuniform media, the intermediate-time spreadability is slower for models with larger values of the coefficient B=χ~V(0). Interestingly, the excess spreadability S(∞)−S(t) for URL packings has nearly exponential decay at small to intermediate t, but transforms to a power-law decay at large t, and the time for this transition has a logarithmic divergence in th

In this work, we report the second-order nonlinear optical susceptibility χ(2) for epsilon phase Gallium Oxide (ϵ-Ga2O3) thin film on sapphire. ϵ-Ga2O3 exhibits hexagonal P63mc space group symmetry, which is a non-centrosymmetric structure with non-zero second order susceptibility. By focusing a pulsed laser beam on to a polished ϵ-Ga2O3 thin film, we collected the generated second harmonic photons with an ultra-sensitive femtowatt photodetector, obtaining effective second-order nonlinear optical susceptibility of χ(2) = 4.89×10-3 pm/V at wavelength of 800 nm. Two different measurement systems collecting reflected and transmitted photons were applied separately to make the result more convincing. The wavelength dependence from 790 nm to 900 nm and polarization dependence from TM mode to TE mode were measured as well. These results will be helpful for the design and fabrication of Ga2O3 based integrated photonics platform in the infrared-visible spectral range. © 2022 IEEE.

Typically, fault-tolerant operations and code concatenation are reserved for quantum error correction due to their resource overhead. Here, we show that fault tolerant operations have a large impact on the performance of symmetry based error mitigation techniques. We also demonstrate that similar to results in fault tolerant quantum computing, code concatenation in fault-tolerant quantum error mitigation (FTQEM) can exponentially suppress the errors to arbitrary levels. For a family of circuits, we provide analytical error thresholds for FTQEM with the repetition code. These circuits include a set of quantum circuits that can generate all of reversible classical computing. The post-selection rate in FTQEM can also be increased by correcting some of the outcomes. Our threshold results can also be viewed from the perspective of quantifying the number of gate operations we can delay checking the stabilizers in a concatenated code before errors overwhelm the encoding. Magnetic monopoles, despite their ongoing experimental search as elementary particles, have inspired the discovery of analogous excitations in condensed matter systems. In chiral condensed matter systems, emergent monopoles are responsible for the onset of transitions between topologically distinct states and phases, like in the case of transitions from helical and conical phase to A-phase comprising periodic arrays of skyrmions. By combining numerical modeling and optical characterizations, we describe how different geometrical configurations of skyrmions terminating at monopoles can be realized in liquid crystals and liquid crystal ferromagnets. We demonstrate how such complex structures can be effectively manipulated by external magnetic and electric fields. Furthermore, we discuss how our findings may hint at similar dynamics in other physical systems, and their potential applications. © 2023, CC BY.

In this paper we present a new antithetic multilevel Monte Carlo (MLMC) method for the estimation of expectations with respect to laws of diffusion processes that can be elliptic or hypo-elliptic. In particular, we consider the case where one has to resort to time discretization of the diffusion and numerical simulation of such schemes. Motivated by recent developments, we introduce a new MLMC estimator of expectations, which does not require simulation of intractable Lévy areas but has a weak error of order 2 and achieves the optimal computational complexity. We then show how this approach can be used in the context of the filtering problem associated to partially observed diffusions with discrete time observations. We illustrate with numerical simulations that our new approaches provide efficiency gains for several problems relative to some existing methods. © 2024, CC BY.

Sasirangan cloth is one of the traditional cloths owned by Indonesia and is a typical cloth originating from the province of South Kalimantan. This Sasirangan cloth has many motifs and is unique. Sasirangan cloth is also one of the potentials that can attract local and foreign tourists to visit South Kalimantan. However, in recent years, tourist visits to South Kalimantan have decreased due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Then it also has an impact on the delay in the implementation of the Banjarmasin Sasirangan Festival which is usually held annually. The next impact is a decrease in turnover and interest in shopping for Sasirangan cloth, so that employees who work for Sasirangan cloth craftsmen are dismissed and reduce people's income. So the purpose of this study is to report the results of the development of a Virtual Reality Game application called VR-SasiranganKu by integrating the interaction of Non-Player Character (NPC) behavior with the type of narrative in the simulation genre game. VR-SasiranganKu is recommended to introduce and at the same time promote Sasirangan cloth to users, then justify the reaction to knowledge and shopping experience, and evaluate user experience using the UX Honeycomb method. Respondents involved as many as 100 people who are local and national tourists. The results show that the interaction of NPC behavior can provide good direction to users regarding the introduction of Sasirangan cloth by presenting an appropriate interaction design based on the narrative and the theme of the NPC that has been adopted, the results of justification using VR-SasiranganKu can provide knowledge reaction and very good shopping experience, and based on user experience evaluation that VR-SasiranganKu has adopted a very good UX with an average score of 4.91.
