Blockchain technology gained much traction in the last few years. These decentralized databases offer security, immutability, and scalability across various applications. Decentralized applications generate vast amounts of data, known as events, that are recorded on the blockchain and are public to anyone. Some people may see opportunities for financial gains in these events and would like to know when they occur. This paper proposes a solution to process and deliver those events as real-time alerts to the users. It uses existing technologies such as message queues, multithreading, and asynchronous processing and integrates them into a scalable architecture. The results we achieved in this paper show that for an evenly distributed network traffic, which does not entirely consists of transaction bursts, the proposed solution offers reliability, efficiency, and a suitable delivery time to those wishing to integrate it into their projects. With time, this solution, or improved architectures, may form the basis of the following big-data architectures for processing blockchain events.

Modeling uncertainty has been an active and important topic in the fields of data-driven modeling and machine learning. Uncertainty ubiquitously exists in any data modeling process, making it challenging to identify the optimal models among many potential candidates. This article proposes an uncertainty-informed method to address the model selection problem. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated on a dataset generated from a complex system model. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and its superiority over conventional approaches. This method has minimal requirements for the length of training data and model types, making it applicable for various modeling frameworks.

Human gait analysis provides qualitative and quantitative information concerning different characteristics of walking of a certain person. Cloud computing proves to be a modern and valuable technology when dealing with data scalability, security and efficiency of processing and storage. Also, this paradigm has some key-benefits like real-time data sharing, fast computation as well as collaborative research. The applications gamut which uses cloud computing is getting bigger and bigger, and healthcare sector is an important domain in this respect. Our approach proposed a cloud-based service designed for the automated assessment of medical rehabilitation of human gait by using video processing. We have chosen this processing technology because it is marker-less, allows fast computation and offers a very good precision of the gait analysis. Cloud computing approach proved to be encouraging and underscores remarkable advantages in comparison with traditional on-site video processing. In this way the patient, after a short training session, can himself/herself make tests and assessments of his/her mobility status, avoiding many consultations of medical or kineto-therapeutic staff.

Estimation of importance for considered features is an important issue for any knowledge exploration process and it can be executed by a variety of approaches. In the research reported in this study, the primary aim was the development of a methodology for creating attribute rankings. Based on the properties of the greedy algorithm for inducing decision rules, a new application of this algorithm has been proposed. Instead of constructing a single ordering of features, attributes were weighted multiple times. The input datasets were discretised with several algorithms representing supervised and unsupervised discretisation approaches. Each resulting discrete data variant was exploited to construct a ranking of attributes. The effectiveness of the obtained rankings was confirmed through a rule filtering process governed by weighted attributes. The methodology was applied to the stylometric task of authorship attribution. The experimental outcomes demonstrate the value of the proposed research method, as it generally led to improved predictions while taking into account a noticeably decreased sets of attributes and decision rules.
