Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the world's major health problems. Detection with Chest X-rays is a mainstay tool in the early diagnosis of TB. Traditional methods used in the conventional detection of TB are very slow and susceptible to human errors. Thus, there is a need for an automated technique. The paper discusses the possibility of using advanced deep learning techniques, particularly techniques stemming from transfer learning, to enhance the detectability as well as efficiency of TB. Fine-tuned pre-trained convolutional neural networks, such as ResNet and VGG, on a dataset of chest X-ray images extracted high-level features relevant to the detection of TB. Superhuman performance was achieved with limited medical imaging data by transferring learned representations from large-scale image classification tasks. Experimental results illustrate high accuracy, precision, and recall rates, confirming that transfer learning is adequate for automating TB detection. This approach reduces the need for manual intervention and offers a scalable, cost-effective solution to enable rapid TB screening, particularly in low-resource settings. The novelty of the work comes from using transfer learning with fine-tuned pre-trained models (ResNet and VGG) in getting high generalization accuracy for tuberculosis detection from chest X-rays, even with limited data. © 2024 IEEE.

Since potatoes are a staple crop in India, there has been a noticeable growth in their cultivation. Given the significant nutritional and economic value of potatoes, this study addresses the significant issue of leaf diseases. The study enhances farmer lives and supports agricultural success in India by using machine learning techniques to categorize and detect diseases in real time. The major areas of study are image processing, feature extraction, and machine learning models like Random Forest, Naive Bayes, and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN). The paper proposes a systematic framework that comprises steps for data collecting, picture preprocessing, feature extraction, training, and classification in order to reliably diagnose diseases. It also demonstrates how these procedures can be combined. The datasets used include approximately 5,000 labeled pictures of potato leaves that show early blight, late blight, and healthy leaves. Among the preprocessing methods are data augmentation, contrast enhancement, and image normalization. When it came to classifying diseases, the trained models fared extremely well;Naive Bayes, Random Forest, and KNN were especially accurate. The study demonstrates how integrating image processing and machine learning could aid in addressing potato leaf disease issues in agriculture.. © 2024 IEEE.

With the expansion of e-commerce platforms, online reviews have become increasingly important. Users often decide on purchases based on reviews and ratings. This study notes that reviews with identical ratings can differ in emotional content and hypothesizes that overall satisfaction can be inferred from these emotions. The aim is to develop a system to quantify satisfaction based on review content, especially when ratings are absent. This approach addresses situations where reviews lack ratings or users struggle to rate products despite providing feedback. We crawled product reviews from Coupang and performed sentiment analysis using a BERT model tailored for Korean. The sentiment analysis results were clustered using six different algorithms, and the outcomes were evaluated. The study explored the best methodology among 30 combinations of clustering algorithms and hyper-parameters. For evaluation, 'accuracy' and 'mean absolute error' were used as external metrics to compare with actual ratings, while the 'silhouette coefficient' was used as an internal metric to assess cluster clarity. Agglomerative Clustering showed the highest performance in external metrics but lower internal metric performance. Spectral Clustering demonstrated well-balanced and excellent performance across all metrics. © 2024 IEEE.

This article explores how the Alpha-x framework can improve network robustness under Nakagami-m fading and co-channel interference (CI), The study evaluates network performance using key metrics such as outage probability, spectral efficiency, and capacity degradation. The simulations show a 50% reduction in outage probability, a 20% boost in spectral efficiency, and a 33.3% lower capacity degradation compared to traditional models. These results demonstrate how the Alpha-x framework enhances network performance by adapting to various fading conditions and interference levels in wireless communication systems. The framework not only improves reliability and efficiency but also shows practical relevance in network planning and management. This can potentially lead to better user experiences and increased operational resilience. Future research could focus on optimizing the underlying algorithms and testing their performance on a larger scale in real-world environments. As telecommunications systems evolve, frameworks like Alpha-x could play a crucial role in ensuring reliable and efficient wireless networks. © 2024 IEEE.

This research elucidates the development and optimization of advanced sensor network-based health monitoring systems. In response to the increasing need for accurate health data in real-time, advanced gadgets capable of continuously monitoring essential indicators have been created. Contemporary sensor technologies, such as biosensors, IoT devices, and WSN s, enable these systems to facilitate data collection and processing with little disturbance. Optimization techniques like PSO, including machine learning algorithms and energy conservation procedures, are used to enhance the system's performance, reliability, and battery longevity. The study focuses on developing robust and scalable systems suitable for various healthcare applications, while also investigating data processing, communication protocols, network architecture, and sensor selection. Advanced sensor networks will be crucial for future health monitoring, as research indicates substantial improvements in monitoring accuracy, system efficiency, and patient outcomes. This study underscores the pressing necessity for early and accurate diagnosis of grape leaf diseases, advocating for an automated solution that harnesses the synergistic power of image processing and machine learning. In this paper, we present an Extended Reality (XR) platform powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), designed to support education in dance history and cultural heritage. The platform here applied to a case study on a dance costume, allows users to interact with 3D models, annotate them, and explore their historical and cultural contexts collaboratively. Using features like image-to-LLM queries, users can gain insights into costume details and performance history, and the annotation tools enable uploading multimedia resources, thereby simulating an archival research environment. By integrating LLMs, the platform provides tailored information and context on demand, enriching the user experience with detailed explanations about objects, such as costume construction, usage, and cultural significance. © 2025 IEEE.

Classification of multiclass breast cancer through histopathological images is indispensable and poses daunting challenges due to color inconsistencies, high appearance variations, and large inter-class similarities. Regardless of the success of traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and vision transformers (ViTs), they often fail to capture intricate patterns and local contextual information, respectively, while demanding high computational resources and data requirements. To mitigate these issues, this paper proposes a lightweight convo-lutional transformer network named LiCT-Net for multiclass breast cancer classification. The LiCT-Net introduces a local-global spatially-aware transformer layer and integrates it with a pre-trained FastViT model to effectively capture global and local contextual features, thereby facilitating learning fine-grained and intricate lesion patterns from histopathological images. The LiCT-Net is validated on a benchmark dataset and the experimental results and comparative analysis demonstrate its effectiveness. In specific, it achieves a higher accuracy of 96.16 %, 95.62 %, 95.25 %, and 94.21 % on 40×, 100×, 200×, and 400× magniflcations respectively, © 2024 IEEE.

Open RAN is transforming mobile networks into open and flexible environments through the integration of modern software and artificial intelligence. However, the existing standardization documents provide insufficient guidelines on the issuance and revocation of certificates, posing potential risks for the system. As an initial effort to overcome this limitation, we study the challenges related to the certificate management framework over the Open RAN fronthaul interface, with a particular focus on the mutual authentication and the coordination of security policies across different vendors. © 2024 IEEE.
