Breast cancer is one of the most common type of cancer affecting women worldwide, and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Histopathology image analysis plays a vital role in breast cancer diagnosis. Early diagnosis and accurate classification of breast cancer histopathology images can help for effective treatment. In recent years, deep learning-based image classification methods have shown promising results in automated breast cancer diagnosis. Earlier, Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) had a huge attention in image classification tasks, and also obtained a good performances in histopathology image classification. Recently, Vision Transformer (ViT) based on self-attention mechanism has shown promising results in computer vision tasks, including image classification. In this paper, we review recent ViT-based model for breast cancer histopathology image classification. Furthermore, we summarize the results obtained from our experiments with both CNN and ViT-based models in breast cancer histopathology image classification. © 2023 IEEE.

The recent developments in Multimedia Internet of Things(MIoT)devices,empowered with Natural Language Processing(NLP)model,seem to be a promising future of smart *** plays an important role in industrial models such as speech understanding,emotion detection,home automation,and so *** an image needs to be captioned,then the objects in that image,its actions and connections,and any silent feature that remains under-projected or missing from the images should be *** aim of the image captioning process is to generate a caption for *** next step,the image should be provided with one of the most significant and detailed descriptions that is syntactically as well as semantically *** this scenario,computer vision model is used to identify the objects and NLP approaches are followed to describe the *** current study develops aNatural Language Processing with Optimal Deep Learning Enabled Intelligent Image Captioning system(NLPODL-IICS).The aim of the presented NLPODL-IICS model is to produce a proper description for input *** attain this,the proposed NLPODL-IICS follows two stages such as encoding and decoding ***,at the encoding side,the proposed NLPODL-IICS model makes use of Hunger Games Search(HGS)with Neural Search Architecture Network(NASNet)*** model represents the input data appropriately by inserting it into a predefined length ***,during decoding phase,Chimp Optimization Algorithm(COA)with deeper Long Short Term Memory(LSTM)approach is followed to concatenate the description sentences 4436 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 produced by the *** application of HGS and COA algorithms helps in accomplishing proper parameter tuning for NASNet and LSTM models *** proposed NLPODL-IICS model was experimentally validated with the help of two benchmark *** comparative analysis confirmed the superior performance of NLPODL-IICS model over other models.

computer simulations using agent-based approach aimed at modeling human behavior require a robust dataset derived from actual observation to serve as ground truth. This paper details an approach for developing a movement behavior dataset generator from CCTV footages with respect to two health-related behaviors: face mask wearing and physical distancing, while addressing the privacy concerns of confidential CCTV data. A two-stage YOLOv8-based cascaded approach was implemented for object tracking and detection. The first stage involves tracking of individuals in the video feed to determine physical distancing behavior using the pre-trained YOLOv8 xLarge model paired with Bot-SORT multi-object tracker and OpenCV Perspective-n-Point pose estimation. The second stage involves determining the mask wearing behavior of the tracked individuals using the best-performing model among the five YOLOv8 models (nano, small, medium, large, and xLarge), each trained for 50 epochs on a custom CCTV dataset. Results show that the custom-trained xLarge model performed the best on the mask detection task with the following metric scores: mAP50 = 0.94;mAP50-95 = 0.63;and F1 = 0.872. The faces of all the tracked individuals are blurred-out in the resulting video frames to preserve the privacy of the CCTV data. Finally, the developed system is able to generate the corresponding mask-distancing behavior dataset and annotated output videos from the input CCTV raw footages. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Big data has emerged very fast, and this has brought both opportunities and problems that are related to the application of deep learning. This paper explores how deep learning can be implemented using big data and in particular the Apache Mahout library. Unlike most other machine learning tools, Mahout can perform distributed computation, especially while using the MapReduce frameworks including Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark. However, this study does not only focus on the explanation of the need for Mahout's integration and employment but also carries out a high-fidelity argument on how deep learning algorithms can be incorporated in the Mahout framework to optimize the manipulation of large and complicated datasets. Mahout-based contributions include the comparative analysis of key deep learning paradigms including distributed processing, parallel processing and transfer learning. This paper also includes examples of the Mahout deep learning integration use and its application in real contexts. This article describes the challenges that currently organizations face in handling big data and indeed, the potential threats these challenges pose to the success of deep learning techniques when used in organizations' big data processing and analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Stroke, a global leading cause of disability and mortality, places a significant burden on healthcare systems and individuals. It accounts for approximately 5 million of total global deaths, affecting millions of people annually. The early identification of stroke symptoms holds paramount significance as it not only facilitates immediate medical attention but also offers valuable insights for predicting the long-term risk of stroke and promoting a healthier life. In this research endeavor, we harness the power of machine learning (ML) to construct a series of robust models aimed at predicting the occurrence of stroke over extended periods. Our primary contribution lies in the formulation of a sophisticated ensemble methodology, which exhibits remarkable performance validated through an array of metrics, including Area Under the Curve (AUC), precision, recall, F-measure, and accuracy. Our experimental findings have unveiled the superior efficacy of the ensemble classification model when compared to alternative methods. In addition to an impressive AUC score of 97.9%, this model exhibits remarkable accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score rates, all standing at a high 97.9%, 98.2%, 97.9%, and 98.0% respectively. These results substantiate the potential of our stacking approach as an exceptional tool for long-term stroke risk prediction and underscore its significance in the realm of stroke research and healthcare. © 2024 IEEE.

Collaborative Service Provisioning for UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted mobile edge computing(MEC), as a way of coping with delaysensitive and computing-intensive tasks, is considered to be a key technology to solving the challenges of terrestrial MEC networks. In this work, we study the problem of collaborative service provisioning(CSP) for UAV-assisted MEC. Specifically, taking into account the task latency and other resource constraints, this paper investigates how to minimize the total energy consumption of all terrestrial user equipments, by jointly optimizing computing resource allocation, task offloading, UAV trajectory, and service placement. The CSP problem is a non-convex mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, owing to the complex coupling of mixed integral variables and non-convexity of CSP. To address the CSP problem, this paper proposes an alternating optimization-based solution with the convergence guarantee as follows. We iteratively deal with the joint service placement and task offloading subproblem, and UAV movement trajectory subproblem, by branch and bound and successive convex approximation, respectively,while the closed form of the optimal computation resource allocation can be efficiently obtained. Extensive simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to three baselines.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, broadband internet utilization is predicted to continue to grow and experience a significant increase. The pandemic has changed how people work, study, communicate, shop, and carry out many aspects of daily life. Research reported that since 2018, research on broadband internet has continued to increase until now. This quantitative study examines the impact of the four critical variables on the link between attitude, availability, pricing, and quality of service (QoS) on broadband internet customer satisfaction using the Structural Equation Model approach and the Partial Lease Square technique. Three hundred and sixty-one citizen respondents in DKI Jakarta Province were collected using the snowball sampling method facilitated by Google Forms. At the same time, the COVID-19 post-pandemic was still ongoing in Indonesia. Through rigorous statistical analysis, the results show that customer satisfaction with broadband internet services is influenced by all factors, from attitude towards broadband Internet, broadband Internet availability, broadband Internet price, and service quality. The implications of this research are significant for service providers. They provide actionable insights for developing effective strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase broadband internet subscriptions. © 2023 IEEE.
