One of the most important aspects of environmental sustainability is water quality monitoring. The ecology is impacted by poor water quality in addition to aquatic life. With the volume of data being collected from satellite systems, the issue of effectively and automatically extracting water bodies is growing more pressing. One of the most important things to do for managing and safeguarding water resources is to conduct extensive monitoring of water quality parameters, or WQPs. It is still difficult to monitor optically inactive WQPs in inland waters, such as total nitrogen (TN), ammoniacal nitrogen (AN), and total phosphorus (TP). Water quality (WQ) classification and prediction can be greatly enhanced with the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This research proposes novel method in healthcare detection by water quality analysis based on classification utilising ML model. Input is collected as healthcare dataset based on water quality as well as processed for noise removal and normalisation. The processed data features are extracted and classified utilising reinforcement Gaussian stacked layer network with variational fuzzy Markov basis neural network. In order to suggest best course of action for the water bodies, it is imperative that any study look into the spatiotemporal changes of the dominant water quality parameters (WQPs). WQP concentrations have typically been determined by extensive fieldwork. These findings could help identify and regulate non-point source pollution, offer a large-scale spatial picture of the water quality, and pinpoint vulnerable locations and times of water pollution. Experimental analysis is carried out for various water sample dataset in terms of detection accuracy, mean precision, recall, F-1 score and AUC. The proposed technique obtained 97% of detection accuracy, 95% of recall, 91% of F-1 score, 96% of AUC, and 94% of MAP. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Detecting suspicious activities in public places with higher people gathering and interaction has turned out to be an act with growing interest due to the increasing number of crime scenes and causalities happening in these days. Surveying and tracking of human activities are increasingly difficult owing to the random nature of human movements and actions. The reliability is greatly affected due to this randomness. Also a human operator cannot continuously monitor multiple screens efficiently in a consequent manner so an automated surveillance system deployment becomes a necessity. Currently, tracking individuals may be done remotely, and the analysis of the recorded images can be automated using object detection models, with the help of high resolution cameras and the development of machine learning techniques. This proposed system aims in identifying threats that are probable to occur in a public gathering or space which may be an explosion, accident or possession of armoury, etc. This proposed model takes advantage of the information from the image data to learn complex patterns and develop pattern recognition technique to identify the anomalies using high resolution camera and alert the monitoring authority in order to take the necessary actions. This proposed work compares various object detection techniques of machine learning algorithms and suggests the best model based on its performance metrics. © 2023 IEEE.

Changes in the Atmospheric Electric Field Signal(AEFS)are highly correlated with weather changes,especially with thunderstorm ***,little attention has been paid to the ambiguous weather information implicit in AEFS *** this paper,a Fuzzy C-Means(FCM)clustering method is used for the first time to develop an innovative approach to characterize the weather attributes carried by ***,a time series dataset is created in the time domain using AEFS *** AEFS-based weather is evaluated according to the time-series Membership Degree(MD)changes obtained by inputting this dataset into the ***,thunderstorm intensities are reflected by the change in distance from a thunderstorm cloud point charge to an AEF ***,a matching relationship is established between the normalized distance and the thunderstorm dominant MD in the space ***,the rationality and reliability of the proposed method are verified by combining radar charts and expert *** results confirm that this method accurately characterizes the weather attributes and changes in the AEFS,and a negative distance-MD correlation is obtained for the first *** detection of thunderstorm activity by AEF from the perspective of fuzzy set technology provides a meaningful guidance for interpretable thunderstorms.

Vector-borne diseases have created critical world-wide public health hazards that require innovative approaches for prevention and management. Within the context of IoT-enabled edge networks, this study offers a unique framework to build a reliable and straightforward distant prediction model for vector-borne diseases. The suggested strategy incorporates the use of edge computing capabilities to predict the onset and spread of diseases caused by vectors by using real-time data streams from mobile applications. Employing widely used techniques from machine learning, including interpretable models, our system not only achieves high prediction accuracy but also provides insight into the most important factors influencing the spread of disease. Moreover, this approach overcomes the resource constraints essential to edge networks, ensuring the prediction model's dependability and scalability. © 2024 IEEE.

Weather Forecasting is the application of AI to predict the state of the atmosphere for a given location. Earlier, weather forecasting methods usually relied on observed patterns of events. Our ancestors predicted the next day weather based on the happenings of the previous day evening. However, those intuitive methods and predictions are not reliable. This paper depicts the design and implementation of an application for weather forecasting and visualization using Augmented Reality (AR), which can forecast climatic conditions, namely, such as rain, snow, sun, wind, and hail. This work deals with various real-world weather types and how they could be simulated using a mobile augmented reality system. Users can move freely inside the real world without limitations, experiencing the developed augmented objects. A visual change of the augmented reality weather conditions can be used as a supplement to train the simulations for search and rescue teams during catastrophic disasters. © 2023 IEEE.

The pharmaceutical industry's crucial task is to look after the medicines while they are being transported, by ensuring ideal storage conditions and keeping track of the complete medications sent to prevent risky scenarios. These three classifications are used by WHO: falsified, substandard, and unregistered/unlicensed. The need for sophisticated tools to identify fabricated pharmaceuticals will rise as criminals grow craftier. To identify phoney and substandard drugs, new technologies are continually being developed. A substantial lack of transparency in the current system makes it difficult for patients to understand the cost of acquired medications, making counterfeit drugs a prime issue. Moreover, if there are accusations of illegal or unethical behaviours, it could be difficult to look into supply chain tampering. The blockchain technology was employed. Two parties' transactions can be efficiently and permanently recorded using an open, distributed ledger like blockchain. Blockchains are transparent, decentralized, distributed, and unchangeable, which makes them an ideal solution for the problem of fake medications. This study proposes a mechanism for the safe distribution of medications throughout the whole supply chain. Each product in the chain can be moved between chain associates who have been confirmed using an event request-response approach. A product may be traced back to its source thanks to smart contracts, which are used to record all transactions between entities onto the blockchain. A DApp is made using the React Framework. On a local blockchain that Ganache provided, the smart contracts were put into action. The blockchain connection between the DApp and *** is made possible by the Truffle framework. The outcomes of the studies show that our method is practical and marginally more secure than existing solutions. © 2023 IEEE.

During natural disasters and catastrophes, Twitter is becoming a more popular source of information exchange. It is primarily used to share the status of disaster recovery efforts initiated by humanitarian and disaster relief organizations, to report and request or provide volunteer services, and to update on the scope of geographic phenomena. This paper supports the creation of future automated crisis management systems as well as the planning and preparation of effective disaster responses by teams working on disaster mitigation. This work focuses on developing a comprehensive framework for text processing and analysis on tweets posted in Twitter during natural catastrophes using natural language processing techniques. Disaster-related tweets are categorized into precautionary tweets, educational tweets, and recovery tweets. The algorithms which are used to develop the framework are Naive Bayes based on Bayes theorem, Logistic Regression based on Sigmoid function, Random Forest based on decision trees, Extreme Gradient Boosting is based on bagging and boosting, Support Vector Machine is based on hyperplane. Five performance metrics, namely, accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and time, are calculated to assess how well the algorithms perform. The data set is split into training set and testing set as 75:25, 63:37, and 50:50. This comparison is to provide insights about the performance of algorithms in terms of efficiency with time bound actions and reactions. © 2023 IEEE.

The use of computers and the internet has spread rapidly over the course of the past few decades. Every day, more and more people are coming to rely heavily on the internet. When it comes to the field of information security, the subject of security is one that is becoming an increasingly important focus. It is vital to design a powerful intrusion detection system in order to prevent computer hackers and other intruders from effectively getting into computer networks or systems. This can be accomplished by: (IDS). The danger and attack detection capabilities of the computer system are built into the intrusion detection system. Abuse has occurred and can be used to identify invasions when there is a deviation between a preset pattern of intrusion and an observed pattern of intrusion. An intrusion detection system (IDS) is a piece of hardware (or software) that is used to generate reports for a Management Station as well as monitor network and/or system activities for unethical behaviour or policy violations. In the current study, an approach known as machine learning is suggested as a possible paradigm for the development of a network intrusion detection system. The results of the experiment show that the strategy that was suggested improves the capability of intrusion detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Emergency message (EM) dissemination is a significant process in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) and plays a vital role in road safety. Nonetheless, EMs’ dissemination while avoiding broadcast storms poses a considerable challenge. Moreover, selecting optimal cooperative forwarders is also challenging because of unreliability, high end-to-end delay, and packet loss caused by localization errors. Besides, the conventional broadcast-based schemes usually choose forwarder vehicles based on distance, neglecting the influence of links’ qualities. To that end, we propose multi-hop EM dissemination (MEMD) through optimal cooperative forwarder in grid-based fifth-generation (5G) VANET environment. To ensure reliable EMs’ dissemination, we incorporate vehicle-to-everything communication instead of the conventional short-range vehicle-to-vehicle communication. The proposed scheme obtains vehicle positions by integrating GPS measurements with a map-matching technique to avoid vehicle localization errors. Instead of a single parameter, the proposed scheme selects an optimal cooperative forwarder by using our proposed fitness function, which considers different mobility and social parameters. The proposed scheme categorizes EMs’ dissemination into single-hop and multi-hop broadcasting to avoid unnecessary rebroadcasting and communication congestion in the network. Simulation results demonstrate that for varying density, the proposed scheme achieves an average increase of 12%, 9%, and 8.9% in coverage, and 7.95%, 4%, and 3.4% in PDR, and an average reduction of 13.5%, 7.2%, and 12.7% in E2E delay, and 20.9%, 11.3%, and 4% in rebroadcast ratio, as compared to LCL, REMD, and EMDZoI, respectively. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The recent development of channel technology has promised to reduce the transaction verification time in blockchain *** transactions are transmitted through the channels created by nodes,the nodes need to cooperate with each *** one party refuses to do so,the channel is unstable.A stable channel is thus *** nodes may show uncooperative behavior,they may have a negative impact on the stability of such *** order to address this issue,this work proposes a dynamic evolutionary game model based on node *** model considers various defense strategies'cost and attack success ratio under *** can dynamically adjust their strategies according to the behavior of attackers to achieve their effective *** equilibrium stability of the proposed model can be *** proposed model can be applied to general channel *** is compared with two state-of-the-art blockchain channels:Lightning network and Spirit *** experimental results show that the proposed model can be used to improve a channel's stability and keep it in a good cooperative stable *** its use enables a blockchain to enjoy higher transaction success ratio and lower transaction transmission delay than the use of its two peers.
