This survey provides an in-depth examination of the role of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) in enhancing physical layer security (PLS) within unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted networks, which are essential for the secure and efficient operation of sixth-generation (6G) wireless communications. The study covers various types of RIS—passive, active, and hybrid—and their applications in both terrestrial and aerial environments to strengthen PLS. Key focus areas include advanced PLS techniques such as optimizing UAV trajectory, beamforming, and RIS phase-shift configurations, all aimed at improving secrecy rates (SRs) while mitigating the risks of eavesdropping and jamming. Moreover, the survey also addresses strategies for enhancing energy-efficient SRs and implementing anti-jamming mechanisms within UAV-assisted networks. Additionally, it explores the integration of RIS-UAV systems with emerging technologies such as non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), mobile edge computing (MEC), cognitive radio, and THz networks, demonstrating how security can be enhanced in such networks. Through detailed performance analysis, the paper highlights the transformative potential of RIS-equipped UAVs in overcoming the potential security challenges for future 6G networks. Finally, the survey presents lessons learned and identifies critical future research directions and open challenges, offering insights that will guide the development of robust and secure RIS-assisted UAV systems in next-generation wireless networks. © 2014 IEEE.

Positive2Negative: Breaking the Information-Lossy Barrier in Self-Supervised Single Image Denoising

Image denoising enhances image quality, serving as a foundational technique across various computational photography applications. The obstacle to clean image acquisition in real scenarios necessitates the development of self-supervised image denoising methods only depending on noisy images, especially a single noisy image. Existing self-supervised image denoising paradigms (Noise2Noise and Noise2Void) rely heavily on information-lossy operations, such as downsampling and masking, culminating in low-quality denoising performance. In this paper, we propose a novel self-supervised single image denoising paradigm, Positive2Negative, to break the information-lossy barrier. Our paradigm involves two key steps: Renoised Data Construction (RDC) and Denoised Consistency Supervision (DCS). RDC renoises the predicted denoised image by the predicted noise to construct multiple noisy images, preserving all the information of the original image. DCS ensures consistency across the multiple denoised images, supervising the network to learn robust denoising. Our Positive2Negative paradigm achieves state-of-the-art performance in self-supervised single image denoising with significant speed improvements. The Blockchain technology are recommended to add an extra security layer with banking, financial and education industries. The basic structure of Blockchain technology serve the security and privacy features using a concept of Block, Blocks has been mined in a way that distribute the transaction to other blocks of the Blockchain network these blocks are managing the data through transaction process in immutable and temper proof mode that makes Blockchain technology very secure throughout the mode of data transmission. In this study, we wish to examine how blockchain technology has impacted colleges in terms of information and technology in order to raise the standard of universities. Reviewing earlier research publications that are relevant to the study is the process utilized. As a result, it is anticipated that this research will make a positive impact by helping to solve issues with blockchain implementation in higher education, in the mean of how Blockchain transforms the education system and its role in near future with various growing industries as banking system, medical and education industries.

Checking the graph state and coloring it with possible least number of colors (or chromatic number) has many useful applications such as coloring of maps, solving Sudoku, making schedules to name a few. Though classical algorithms are used to solve this problem, it is believed that with quantum approach, the space and time complexity can be reduced. Thus, here we present quantum algorithms and design quantum circuits to check the graph states having two- and three-vertices with given edges and color them accordingly. We also propose a quantum algorithm for coloring of trees. Theoretical Analyses of Evolutionary Algorithms on Time-Linkage OneMax with General Weights

Evolutionary computation has shown its superiority in dynamic optimization, but for the (dynamic) time-linkage problems, some theoretical studies have revealed the possible weakness of evolutionary computation. Since the theoretically analyzed time-linkage problem only considers the influence of an extremely strong negative time-linkage effect, it remains unclear whether the weakness also appears in problems with more general time-linkage effects. Besides, understanding in depth the relationship between time-linkage effect and algorithmic features is important to build up our knowledge of what algorithmic features are good at what kinds of problems. In this paper, we analyze the general time-linkage effect and consider the time-linkage OneMax with general weights whose absolute values reflect the strength and whose sign reflects the positive or negative influence. We prove that except for some small and positive time-linkage effects (that is, for weights 0 and 1), randomized local search (RLS) and (1 + 1) EA cannot converge to the global optimum with a positive probability. More precisely, for the negative time-linkage effect (for negative weights), both algorithms cannot efficiently reach the global optimum and the probability of failing to converge to the global optimum is at least 1-o(1). For the not so small positive time-linkage effect (positive weights greater than 1), such a probability is at most c + o(1) where c is a constant strictly less than 1. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Conventional methods for diagnosing bridge damage have centred on tracking changes in modal-based Damage Sensitive Features (DSFs), which are strongly related to structural stiffness. Environmental and operational variations, inefficient use of machine learning approaches for damage detection, and an overall reliance on modal-based DSFs are some of the limits and hurdles that the system still faces, despite substantial progress towards practical deployment. According to the proposed method, the initial three steps are data preparation, feature extraction, and model training. In order to identify damage during the preprocessing step, the suggested approach utilises anomaly scores. Features in the time-frequency domain allow for parallel processing of signals in the signal-to-feature extraction pipeline. After the features have been extracted, the data is used to train GBDT-BiLSTM models. The proposed approach achieves better results than the well-known alternatives, GBDT and BiLSTM. © 2024 IEEE.

Continuous subgraph matching (CSM) is a critical task for analyzing dynamic graphs and has a wide range of applications, such as merchant fraud detection, cyber-attack hunting, and rumor detection. Although many efficient CSM algorithms have been recently proposed, they are mainly designed to process a single query. However, in some application scenarios, multi-query oriented continuous subgraph matching (MQCSM) may be of more interest. To our knowledge, the two existing solutions to MQCSM are outdated due to unsatisfactory performance. In this paper, we propose MQ-Match, an efficient approach to MQCSM. First, we design a compact yet effective index structure CCG, which maintains the local matching result of vertices in the data graph using a directed graph. The directed edges in CCG can be utilized as an effective pruning rule for the subsequent incremental matching algorithm when expanding a partial match. Then, we develop a computation sharing incremental matching algorithm. In specific, a set of matching trees is constructed based on the depth-first search trees of the query graphs. By utilizing CCG, we conduct subgraph matching for the matching tree to collect the incremental matches for the query graphs, where the common structures of query graphs are matched only once. Extensive experiments show that MQ-Match can achieve 3.1x-7071.4x speedup over the competitors, and consumes much less memory under the majority of the experiment settings. © 2024 IEEE.

This research explores the effects of incorporating Internet of Things (loT) enabled mobile wireless communication networks into online education higher learning environments. The research provides a detailed view of certain key performance metrics that are essential in enhancing network performance, resource utilization, security and operational efficiency. Results show that its integration increases network performance with a delay of 25.3 ms, a throughput of up to120 Mbps and only losses by packet at rate0.5%. The performance benchmarks guarantee fast, high-speed data delivery important for real-time communications and multimedia content distribution during studying sessions. Regarding resource utilization, 75% of the bandwidth available successfully serves many users simultaneously for a congestion-free multiple access. On the academic side of things, Educational loT Solutions also shows that device utilization efficiency reports up to 85%, which is a great number and this gives an idea on how good devices are well utilized in education. Strong security and privacy measures secure student and institutional data - including 256-bit encryption capabilities. Operational efficiency metrics present a system uptime of 99.8%, which assures the unbroken availability periods for online learning platforms, and maintenance downtime reduces to only 2.5 hours (evidencing an efficient tech issue-fixing framework). This research provides an overall picture regarding how those advanced technologies help online education management and effectiveness in general which as a result promotes resilience, accessibility and engagement in learning from both students' perspective and educators.

Detection of harmful algal blooms (HAB) is important for environmental management in the eutrophic sub-tropical estuarine and coastal waters. Developing HAB early warning systems faces challenges, including insufficient marine water quality data and in-situ species-level data. This paper reports a newly developed bench-scale automatic field imaging microscopic (AFIM) device, integrating a robotic system for sample preparation, an optical microscope with 1.3 pixels/µm resolution, and an edge-computing based AI-classifier for HAB species identification. Tested at the Yim Tin Tsai Marine Fish Culture Zone in Hong Kong, over nine months, the low-cost AFIM enables on-demand remote identification and automatic detection of HAB species for early warning. The AI classifier, tested against seven key red tide causative species, achieved an average F2-score of 81.7%. The AFIM meets key performance indicators of real-time detection, user-friendliness, and cost, making it suitable for fish farmers and managers to enhance coastal resilience and disaster risk mitigation. © 2024, The Authors.
