User story clustering in agile development:a framework and an empirical study

Agile development aims at rapidly developing software while embracing the continuous evolution of user requirements along the whole development *** stories are the primary means of requirements collection and elicitation in the agile development.A project can involve a large amount of user stories,which should be clustered into different groups based on their functionality’s similarity for systematic requirements analysis,effective mapping to developed features,and efficient ***,the current user story clustering is mainly conducted in a manual manner,which is time-consuming and subjective to human *** this paper,we propose a novel approach for clustering the user stories automatically on the basis of natural language ***,the sentence patterns of each component in a user story are first analysed and determined such that the critical structure in the representative tasks can be automatically extracted based on the user story *** similarity of user stories is calculated,which can be used to generate the connected graph as the basis of automatic user story *** evaluate the approach based on thirteen datasets,compared against ten baseline *** results show that our clustering approach has higher accuracy,recall rate and F1-score than these *** is demonstrated that the proposed approach can significantly improve the efficacy of user story clustering and thus enhance the overall performance of agile *** study also highlights promising research directions for more accurate requirements elicitation.

This paper introduces PalateTouch, a hands-free earphone interaction system that leverages acoustic sensing technology to detect gestures resulting from the interaction between the tongue and the palate. By transmitting Zadoff-Chu signals and analyzing ear canal transfer function features, PalateTouch can capture subtle ear canal deformation and recognize various palate gestures used for interaction. Our proposed palate touch screening method ensures the system remains unaffected by unintended gestures from daily activities and the calibration mechanism enables our system to achieve user-independent recognition. Using only the earphone's built-in microphone and speaker, our system can distinguish nine gestures with an average F1 score of 0.92 and a false alarm rate of 0.02 across diverse conditions with 16 participants. Additionally, we have enabled real-time functionality and conducted a user study with 11 participants to evaluate PalateTouch's effectiveness in a demo application. Image classification and unsupervised image segmentation can be achieved using the Gaussian mixture *** the Gaussian mixture model enhances the flexibility of image segmentation,it does not reflect spatial information and is sensitive to the segmentation *** this study,we first present an efficient algorithm that incorporates spatial information into the Gaussian mixture model(GMM)without parameter *** proposed model highlights the residual region with considerable information and constructs color ***,we incorporate the content-based color saliency as spatial information in the Gaussian mixture *** segmentation is performed by clustering each pixel into an appropriate component according to the expectation maximization and maximum ***,the random color histogram assigns a unique color to each cluster and creates an attractive color by default for segmentation.A random color histogram serves as an effective tool for data visualization and is instrumental in the creation of generative art,facilitating both analytical and aesthetic *** experiments,we have used the Berkeley segmentation dataset BSDS-500 and Microsoft research in Cambridge *** the study,the proposed model showcases notable advancements in unsupervised image segmentation,with probabilistic rand index(PRI)values reaching 0.80,BDE scores as low as 12.25 and 12.02,compactness variations at 0.59 and 0.7,and variation of information(VI)reduced to 2.0 and 1.49 for the BSDS-500 and MSRC datasets,respectively,outperforming current leading-edge methods and yielding more precise segmentations.

In recent years, there has been an upsurge in artificial intelligence (AI) systems. These systems, along with efficient performance and predictability, also need to incorporate the power of explainability and interpretability. This can significantly aid clinical decision support by providing explainable predictions to assist clinicians. Explainability generally involves uncovering key input features important for classification. However, characterizing the uncertainty underlying the decisions of the AI system is an important aspect needed for interpreting the decisions. This is especially important in clinical decision support systems, given considerations of medical ethics such as nonmaleficence and beneficence. In this study, we develop methods for characterizing the decision certainty of machine learning (ML)-based clinical decision support systems. As an illustrative example, we introduce a framework for ML-based posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) diagnostic classification that classifies the subjects into pure and mixed classes. Accordingly, a clinician can have very high confidence (95% probability) about the diagnosis of a subject in a pure PTSD or combat control class. In certain emergencies, patients must be continuously monitored and cared for. However, visiting the hospital to do such activities is difficult because of time constraints. To modernize the healthcare sector, the study in question presents an empirical Internet of Things and cloud-based, customizable healthcare monitoring system. Initially, a cloud-based algorithm called particle swarm intelligence (PGI) is used in the proposed healthcare monitoring system to group recorded data, hence increasing the prediction rate. Subsequently, features are selected and extracted, and back propagation neural networks (BPNN) are employed to classify healthcare for humans. In the end, the effectiveness of the suggested system is evaluated using a healthcare dataset and contrasted with current deep learning/machine learning classifiers. The suggested surveillance system performs better than the methods employed in the previous research, according to the findings. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Fine classification of rice paddy using multitemporal compact polarimetric SAR C band data based on machine learning methods

Rice is an important food crop for human *** distinguishing different varieties and sowing methods of rice on a large scale can provide more accurate information for rice growth monitoring,yield estimation,and phenological monitoring,which has significance for the development of modern *** polarimetric(CP)synthetic aperture radar(SAR)provides multichannel information and shows great potential for rice monitoring and ***,the use of machine learning methods to build classification models is a controversial *** this paper,the advantages of CP SAR data,the powerful learning ability of machine learning,and the important factors of the rice growth cycle were taken into account to achieve high-precision and fine classification of rice ***,CP SAR data were simulated by using the seven temporal RADARSAT-2 C-band data ***,20-two CP SAR parameters were extracted from each of the seven temporal CP SAR data *** addition,we fully considered the change degree of CP SAR parameters on a time scale(ΔCP_(DoY)).Six machine learning methods were employed to carry out the fine classification of rice *** results show that the classification methods of machine learning based on multitemporal CP SAR data can obtain better results in the fine classification of rice paddies by considering the parameters ofΔCP_(DoY).The overall accuracy is greater than 95.05%,and the Kappa coefficient is greater than *** them,the random forest(RF)and support vector machine(SVM)achieve the best results,with an overall accuracy reaching 97.32%and 97.37%,respectively,and Kappa coefficient values reaching 0.965 and 0.966,*** the two types of rice paddies,the average accuracy of the transplant hybrid(T-H)rice paddy is greater than 90.64%,and the highest accuracy is 95.95%.The average accuracy of direct-sown japonica(D-J)rice paddy is greater than 92.57%,and the highest accuracy is 96.13%.

in today's digital age, deepfake images poses a significant threat to multimedia content authenticity and integrity. Detecting and classifying deepfake images with high accuracy is crucial to addressing this growing challenge. Deepfake images, generated using advanced machine learning techniques, have become a significant concern due to their potential to deceive individuals and manipulate information. This paper presents DeepSight, an innovative approach that combines ensemble learning techniques with deep learning models to enhance deepfake image detection and classification. DeepSight leverages the diversity of multiple classifiers trained on distinct feature representations extracted from the input image data. The framework begins with an initial assessment to determine whether the image has been manipulated. Subsequently, the image goes through deep feature extraction using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). The resulting feature vectors are then classified using Random Forest, KNearest Neighbors, and XGBoost, with hyper-parameter optimization. Experimental evaluations on benchmark datasets demonstrate DeepSight's superior performance compared to state-of-the-art methods, achieving higher accuracy and robustness across various deepfake generation techniques and quality levels. Notably, DeepSight achieves the highest accuracy of 97.5% when utilizing DenseNet and XGBoost. Overall, DeepSight represents a significant advancement in deepfake image detection and classification. It provides a reliable solution to address deceptive visual content in digital environments. © 2024 IEEE.
