Crop classification is essential for local and national governments to make informed agricultural decisions. Remote sensing technology has made it possible to employ high-resolution hyperspectral images (HSIs) for land cover classification for decades. Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) are becoming more popular for HSI categorization due to advances in processing capacity and technology. HSIs can accurately identify crop types due to their narrow and continuous spectral band reflection. This study compares traditional machine learning (ML) models like Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Random Forest (RF) to deep learning (DL) models like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) for hyperspectral image classification (HSI). The HSI categorization was evaluated using performance criteria such as accuracy, precision, recall, and the F1-Score. CNN achieved the highest accuracy of 96%, demonstrating that it is the most reliable solution for complex HSI classification tasks because it successfully captures spatial and spectral data. © 2025 IEEE.

The Zcash cryptocurrency is the first well-known application of zk-SNARKs in the blockchain. The role of Zk-SNARK is to provide privacy and confidentiality. As blockchain is incapable of providing privacy in the blockchain system, the researchers are banking at Zero Knowledge Proof protocols as the solution to the privacy problem. The Zero Knowledge Proof is a relatively new technique. Hence, currently, it comes with many risks and vulnerabilities. This paper mentions risks in cryptocurrency with Zero Knowledge Proof, primarily of Zcash. The discussed vulnerabilities are information leakage in transactions, trust risk, implementation vulnerability, and other security issues. © 2023 IEEE.

The use and importance of educational data mining (EDM) are growing very fast as the entire world is going digital. The predictions of EDM [1, 2] are playing very important role not only in improving the academic performance of individual students but also are very useful for institutions, policy makers, administrators to plan and design new policies that will certainly help them to achieve high academic performance of their students. On this basis, this paper approaches students’ performance in secondary school of two Portuguese schools. The informational elements comprise demographic, societal, and educational [3] features. Although there are many ML [4, 5] algorithms, yet in this paper, five ML classifiers such as random forest, Naïve Bayes, logistic regression, decision tree, and support vector machine have been used to predict the students’ performance that on the basis of given features, whether a student can be passed in secondary education or not. On the dataset, the Naïve Bayes classifier gives the best performance than other classifiers, when the dataset is partitioned into 80–20 ratio as training and test datasets. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Web different IoT apps offer lot more options for every player in the meat supply chain to monitor, control, and optimize their manufacturing method. Beginning within late 2017, industrial IoF2020 program will concentrate toward massive deployments of IoT via three use cases in the meat supply chain: pig farm management, poultry chain tracking, and for livestock visibility with openness. This initiative will include eleven collaborators spanning 5 nations. Installing and integrating IoT sensors for environmental and livestock management would alleviate producers’ difficulty getting knowledge that data needed regarding continuously tracking how well they are doing. Alert detection is additionally being created, integrating multiple sources of data in order to give farmers helpful input along with communicating news with other partners. By carrying out this, preventative or remedial measures can be done for infections, swine taint, bird mortality, feed waste, the natural world, et cetera. Additionally, EPCIS-based traceability from farm to fork will be allowed to ensure customers may get precise data about the source and caliber of their livestock. Each of these three use scenarios’ existing stage in work along with future plans are expected to be discussed. ARiViT: attention-based residual-integrated vision transformer for noisy brain medical image classification

Brain tumor detection in medical image processing presents a formidable challenge due to the complex behavior exhibited by these tumors. Their intricate nature arises from a variety of shapes and textures within brain tumor images, exacerbated by their diverse cellular origins. This complexity is further compounded by the presence of noisy images, which add an additional layer of difficulty. The overlapping image intensities in tumor and non-tumor areas pose a significant hurdle in extracting meaningful insights from raw data using predictive models. In response to these challenges, we introduce ARiViT, a novel framework based on residual learning. ARiViT merges vision transformers, convolutions, and adversarial learning to tackle the complexities of brain tumor detection. ARiViT’s core generator integrates RiT blocks, merging residual convolutions and transformers, with residual connections, channel compression, and strategic weight sharing for enhanced capabilities and computational efficiency. ARiViT demonstrates exceptional robustness in handling noisy images and adapts well to various modality setups. Our systematic approach involves dataset splitting into training, testing, and validation sets, maintaining distributions of 80:20 and subsequently 70:30, ensuring rigorous evaluation. Additionally, our data preprocessing strategies are tailored to handle noisy and low-quality images, as well as those with unusual tumor shapes. The GAN architecture embedded in ARiViT effectively manages the complexities inherent in such image variations, ensuring reliable tumor detection even in challenging scenarios. Through exhaustive comparative evaluations, ARiViT proves its superiority over existing CNN and transformer techniques, as evidenced by both qualitative and quantitative analyses. Our efforts culminate in remarkable achievements, including an F1-score of 98.09%, establishing a pioneering solution in the demanding field of brain tumor detection. © The Author(s), under

The demands on conventional communication networks are increasing rapidly because of the exponential expansion of connected multimedia *** light of the data-centric aspect of contemporary communication,the information-centric network(ICN)paradigm offers hope for a solution by emphasizing content retrieval by name instead of *** 5G networks are to meet the expected data demand surge from expanded connectivity and Internet of Things(IoT)devices,then effective caching solutions will be required tomaximize network throughput andminimize the use of ***,an ICN-based Cooperative Caching(ICN-CoC)technique has been used to select a cache by considering cache position,content attractiveness,and rate *** findings show that utilizing our suggested approach improves caching regarding the Cache Hit Ratio(CHR)of 84.3%,Average Hop Minimization Ratio(AHMR)of 89.5%,and Mean Access Latency(MAL)of 0.4 *** a framework,it suggests improved caching strategies to handle the difficulty of effectively controlling data consumption in 5G *** improvements aim to make the network run more smoothly by enhancing content delivery,decreasing latency,and relieving *** improving 5G communication systems’capacity tomanage the demands faced by modern data-centric applications,the research ultimately aids in advancement.

The rapid urbanization and economic growth of Uzbekistan over the past decades have engendered significant changes in automobile ownership trends. Understanding these trends is crucial for infrastructure planning, sustainable transportation strategies, and environmental considerations. This Paper seeks to employ Machine Learning (ML) techniques to forecast the number of cars per 100 households in Uzbekistan by 2025, based on historical data from 2010, 2015, and 2020. The dataset, derived from official statistics provided by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, shows a remarkable increase from 21 cars per 100 households in 2010 to 48 by 2020. Leveraging regression models, we aim to predict the expected growth for 2025. Preliminary analyses hint at a continuing upward trend, impacted potentially by factors such as Population growth, GDP growth, urban migration, and increasing global connectivity. The findings from this research will not only serve as a prediction tool but will also shed light on the socio-economic factors influencing car ownership, providing valuable insights to policymakers and urban planners. While the limited data points present a challenge for complex model utilization, the study underscores the potential of ML in forecasting and the need for more comprehensive data collection in future studies. The predictive insights drawn from this research can significantly aid in shaping transportation policies, mitigating potential environmental impacts, and planning urban infrastructures in Uzbekistan. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Crack detection is vital for maintaining hydraulic engineering infrastructure. However, achieving a balance between real-time processing and high precision in semantic segmentation models presents a significant challenge, especially given the intricate details of cracks and complex backgrounds. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a real-time, high-precision crack segmentation model. Initially, a four-branch feature extraction structure is devised to capture the edge details of cracks, with a focus on enhancing segmentation accuracy. Subsequently, an image pyramid is constructed at the input end to feed small-scale samples into high-dimensional feature extraction branches, thereby reducing computational costs and improving segmentation speed. Finally, an effective feature fusion module is designed for the feature extraction structure to capture sufficient crack features and achieve precise crack localization. Extensive experiments validate the superior performance of the proposed method, with Pixel Accuracy, Recall, Intersection over Union, and F1 score reaching 68.45%, 67.04%, 51.22%, and 67.74%, respectively, while maintaining a modest parameter count of 13.12M. This model provides a reliable and efficient solution for the health monitoring and maintenance of hydraulic engineering. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
