Understanding the regions where proteins bind to peptides is vital for studying diseases like cancer, as it sheds light on various cellular processes and aids in drug discovery. Although researchers can experimentally investigate protein-peptide interactions at the region level by analyzing the structures of their complexes, only a limited number of these structures are known. Additionally, experiments to determine these interactions can be both costly and time-consuming. Computational methods provide an alternative and complementary approach to experimental techniques. As a result, using computational methods to predict peptide-binding regions can significantly enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of experimental research. To leverage these advantages, this study introduces a new method named Structure-based Prediction of Residue-level Interaction of Peptides (SPRINT-Pep), designed to pinpoint the binding regions between proteins and peptides. This approach leverages two distinct predictive models: a classification-based model combining DeepResNet with a Support Vector Machine (SVM) and a segmentation-based model called DeepU-Net. Our predictions outperform other state-of-the-art methods in terms of F-measures (by at least 23%), precision (by at least 3.7%), and the balance between sensitivity and specificity (by about 7.7%). These findings demonstrate the proficiency of the proposed method. © 2025 IEEE.

Cloud computing enables businesses to improve their market competitiveness, enabling instant and easy access to a pool of virtualized and distributed resources such as virtual machines (VM) and containers for executing their business operations efficiently. Though the cloud enables the deployment and management of business processes (BPs), it is challeng.ng to deal with the enormous fluctuating resource demands and ensure smooth execution of business operations in containerized multi-cloud. Therefore, there is a need to ensure elastic provisioning of resources to tackle the over and under-provisioning problems and satisfy the objectives of cloud providers and end-users considering the quality of service (QoS) and service level agreement (SLA) constraints. In this article, an efficient multi-agent autonomic resource provisioning framework is proposed to ensure the effective execution of BPs in a containerized multi-cloud environment with guaranteed QoS. To improve the performance and ensure elastic resource provisioning, autonomic computing is utilized to monitor the resource usage and predict the future resource demands, then resources are scaled based on demand. Initially, the required resources for executing the incoming workloads are identified by clustering the workloads into CPU and I/O intensive, and the local agent achieves this with the help of an initialization algorithm and K-means clustering. Then, the analysis phase predicts the workload demand using the proposed enhanced deep stacked auto-encoder (EDSAE), further, the containers are scaled based on the prediction outcomes, finally, the multi-objective termite colony optimization (MOTCO) algorithm is used by the global agent to find suitable containers for executing the clustered workloads. The proposed framework has been implemented in the Container Cloudsim platform and evaluated using the business workload traces. This paper focuses on analyzing power quality issues resulting from electric arc furnace operation. It highlights the challeng.s posed by the stochastic nature of the arc and proposes strategies to mitigate its impact on the power grid. Through measurements carried out on the medium and low voltage side of the furnace, fluctuations in parameters such as voltage, current, and power factor were observed, indicating significant disturbances in power quality. Mitigation strategies, including e.g. installing compensators, are suggested to stabilize the network and improve power quality, enhancing efficiency and reducing energy consumption and electrode usage. © 2024 IEEE.

With the growing demand for data-intensive applications, offloading tasks to multi-access edge computing (MEC) servers has become essential. However, privacy concerns arise as sensitive data is transmitted to remote servers. To address this, the proposed method uses deep learning techniques to intelligently analyze and classify data packets, ensuring that only non-sensitive information is offloaded. This paper proposes a novel approach called a deep post-decision state (PDS) learning privacy-concerned offloading in MEC-enabled 6G Environments. A Post-Decision State (PDS) approach that selectively selects data packets while maintaining privacy is used to train the deep learning model. The suggested method successfully balances the trade-off between increasing system performance and safeguarding user privacy to achieve privacy-aware offloading in MEC-enabled 6G networks, as shown by the experimental findings. Also, it performs noticeably better than the traditional DQN, according to simulation data. © 2024 IEEE.

In this digital world, all the developing countries' growth has improved drastically with farmers' influence and innovative farming processes. Generally, the farming process includes ancient traditional methodologies for maintaining the crops' quality and yields. Their farming was developed and has given more profit only with the quality of the soil and the nutrition used on land. But the drawback is they were spending much time to get their yields from their land, and the nutrition level was not maintained at all times. Moreover, more space was used for farming, with huge manpower required to maintain the entire land. Most countries are moved to smart farming concepts with IoT platforms to optimize the time and techniques. In that hydroponic, the best innovative idea to produce more crops, vegetables, and fruits without soil. Rockwool is used for farming processes with water contaminants at regular intervals will provide huge productions as well as no need to wait for a long time for cultivation. This method was implemented in most of the countries that were doing smart farming with less manpower and low cost. The hydroponic farming methodology is implemented with IoT sensors for monitoring crop's status and health continuously. Once their nutrition level or water level has decreased, it will provide all at constant time intervals to the entire system effectively. A few years ago, hydroponic farming was horizontally implemented on smaller spaces for the regular water flow. But now a day it is implemented on a vertical surface to reduce the space, and water flow is only at the time of need. This technology is used to increase the productivity of the crops with a small space of land and less manpower. Optical fibre sensors are currently used to detect many non-electrical phenomena. The latest sensors analyze the polarization properties of light inside an optical fiber. Unlike interferometric methods, this method uses the interference of two planes of polarization at the output of the optical fibre. The sensors are divided into linear polarizer sensors or multi-fibre interference sensors based on different ways of converting the polarization state into a change in the intensity of the optical radiation. These sensors are particularly suitable for low frequency vibration measurements due to the transformation of beats into the longitudinal deformation of the optical fibre. The aim of the presented measurements was to demonstrate that these polarization vibration sensors have excellent sensitivity and are thus suitable for vibration detection. This paper demonstrates that polarization sensors have excellent sensitivity, are convenient and inexpensive to install, and, due to their non-electric nature, are suitable for hazardous environments. In addition, it is possible to employ these sensors as intrusion detection and prevention systems and remotely power them at a distance of tens of kilometers. The motivation for this research was the lack of information and equipment for vibration testing of optical fibres and the associated polarization changes. © 2024 IEEE.

Wireless sensor networks are liable to attacks because of the complicated operations they perform especially the node deployment one. Security and energy consumption represent two big flaws in Wireless sensor networks and this paper is discussing how those networks can be secured against network violations and attacks while preserving the energy consumption in the network. Therefore, handling this problem using security schemes should ensure a moderate consumption of energy and for this target a secure hybrid session key management scheme is proposed where most of the operations taking place depend on cryptography and the heart of cryptography is the keys which are used to ensure that the energy consumption will remain limited and the security issue will be guaranteed. Benchmark schemes have been of great help in analyzing the proposed scheme to come out with the targeted conclusion ensuring its efficiency in comparison with other benchmark schemes and its ability to limit energy consumption and to present quite an effective tool in network environment that is able to secure management and key agreements. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes a novel grid-connected inverter with LCL filters applied to IRM-ILQ (Inverse Reference Model - Inverse Linear Quadratic) control strategy. The IRM, which is feed-forward control, allows for realizing the fast response to current control without delay. The ILQ control gives an analytical solution for optimal control, and response speed in the closed-loop system is controlled. The IRM-ILQ control method simultaneously provides target tracking and error convergence, basically the IRM-ILQ control is the two-degree of freedom control. Owing to it, it can suppress surge current less than 58.6% during momentary power failure and make power factor keep unity even when command current value changes. The proposed grid-connected inverter is confirmed current tracking and an impressive adaptability to varying amplitude and phase of current by numerical simulations.
