Electronic meters have become increasingly important for efficient energy use, and the proposed research aims to develop an iot-based architecture for metering and monitoring. this smart monitoring and control system (sMACs) for home appliances is suggested to enhance household electricity control. the technology uses a wireless control module with an EsP8266 microcontroller and Wi-Fi channel to monitor current consumption and send measured amounts over Wi-Fi. the system calculates current consumption, counts units, and displays results on the user's website and smartphone. it avoids using traditional analog and digital meter reading techniques and allows remote access to electronic meters. the proposed work offers lower total costs, greater energy savings, and reduced time and labour requirements.

Federated Learning (FL) is a promising privacy-preserving distributed learning framework where a server aggregates models updated by multiple devices without accessing their private datasets. Hierarchical FL (HFL), as a device-edge-cloud aggregation hierarchy, can enjoy both the cloud server's access to more datasets and the edge servers' efficient communications with devices. However, the learning latency increases with the HFL network scale due to the increasing number of edge servers and devices with limited local computation capability and communication bandwidth. to address this issue, in this paper, we introduce model pruning for HFL in wireless networks to reduce the neural network scale. We present the convergence rate of an upper on the $l_i$ -norm of gradients for HFL with model pruning, analyze the computation and communication latency of the proposed model pruning scheme, and formulate an optimization problem to maximize the convergence rate under a given latency threshold by jointly optimizing the pruning ratio and wireless resource allocation. By decoupling the optimization problem and using Karush-Kuhn-tucker (KKt) conditions, closed-form solutions of pruning ratio and wireless resource allocation are derived. simulation results show that our proposed HFL with model pruning achieves similar learning accuracy compared with the HFL without model pruning and reduces about 50% communication cost.

to improve customer relations, this research investigates the possibility of using cloud-enabled collaborative filtering with robot waiters in restaurant environments. With the use of innovation, to revolutionize the way people eat out. it suggests using smart robots that can interact with customers and help the wait staff out. Customer preferences are analyzed, order suggestions are streamlined, and service is personalized using cloud-based collaborative filtering algorithms. test this novel approach in a real-world restaurant setting to view how it changes things for the better in terms of customer happiness, service efficiency, and employee output. it seems that the combination of autonomous waiters and collaborative filtering on the cloud might completely change the way people dine out by making everything more streamlined and personalized to each individual's preferences. to the existing conversation about how robots, cloud computing, and customer service intersect in the restaurant industry, which is important since technology is still playing a major influence on how businesses engage with their customers.

For all parties involved in a logistics system, precise data and smart business operations are essential. However, a hurdle to implementation could be posed by a lack of shared trust. supply chains experience difficulties as a result of a lack of confidence in data sharing, according to several studies. the degree to which each stakeholder has faith in the data they acquire can have a significant impact on management choices. the processing of bitcoin transactions has made extensive use of blockchain technology. it has recently been shown to be successful in building confidence within the Network of *** building trust between entities who would otherwise have been distrustful of each other's data, blockchain technology permits more seamless and secure data sharing. However, businesses may encounter severe delays and the requirement for significant processing resources if the network is not iot-optimized. Additionally, traditional consensus algorithms still have severe limitations on the nodes' ability to agree. trust is one of the major concerns in blockchain technology and stands as a severe challenge presently. in current military and private spheres, the demand for exact localization within the home of mobile agents, especially small unmanned aircraft (UAVs), has attracted significant attention. this paper shows a new method to indoor UAV localization using Ultra-WideBand technology, combined with a cost-effective Motion Measurement Unit (iMU) while vision-based devices. A vital improvement to the positioning process is brought through the inclusion of an additional Kalman filter (EKF). the utilization of an inexpensive and low-cost iMU with the modeling phase, paired with the inclusion of vision odometer measurements for identifying marks in the closeness of the landing area, forms a key aspect of this method. the addition of range data plays a key role in reducing mistakes affiliated with the limited capabilities of gyroscopes and accelerometers, which are inherent in inertial devices. By deploying these multi-modal technologies that the suggested approach achieves a surprising level of precision, with data showing an amazing precision equal to 10 centimeters. this development holds potential for improving the operating effectiveness of small UAVs in indoor settings, offering a robust solution that joins Ultra-WideBand technology, iMU, while vision-based sensors throughout the framework of an Extension Kalman Filter.

As the world’s population ages, there will be a greater need for creative methods to help the elderly maintain their independence and quality of life at home. this study investigates the feasibility of using healthcare bots powered by cloud-based Gradient Boosting Machines (GBM) to provide elderly people with individualized and timely support. the proposed system learns from each user’s interactions and improves over time to better meet their specific requirements. Also, the cloud-based design ensures real-time updates and smooth interaction with different devices. Results show that the system is effective in improving the quality of geriatric support, promoting aging in place, and contributing to the creation of patient-centric healthcare solutions via a thorough review that includes user input and performance indicators. the results point to a potential direction for integrating Artificial intelligence (Ai), cloud computing, and healthcare to meet the issues of an aging population.

the modern-day influx of vehicular traffic along with rapid expansion of roadways has made the selection of the best driver based on driving best practices an imperative, thus optimizing cost and ensuring safe arrival at the destination. A key factor in this is the analysis of driver behavior based on driver activities by monitoring adherence to the features comprising the established driving principles. in general, indiscriminate use of features to predict driver performance can increase process complexity due to inclusion of redundant features. An effective knowledge-based approach with a reduced set of features can help attune the driver behavior and improve driving patterns. Hence, a Deep Mutual invariance Feature Classification (DMiFC) model has been proposed in this study for predicting driver performance to recommend the best driver. to achieve this, first, the driver behavior is broken down into various features corresponding to a simulated driving dataset and subjected to preprocessing to reduce the noise and form a redundant dataset. thereafter, a Mutual invariance scale Feature selection (MisFs) filter is used to select the relational features by calculating the spectral variance weight between mutual features. the observed mutual features are promoted to create a dominant pattern to estimate the Max feature-pattern generation using Driver Activity intense Rate (DAiR). the features are then selected for classification based on the DAiR weightage. Additionally, the interclass-ReLU (Rectified Linear Unit) is used to generate activation functions to produce logical neurons. the logical neurons are further optimized with Multiperceptron Radial Basis Function Networks (MP-RBFNs) to enable better classification of driver features for best prediction results. the proposed system was found to improve the driver pattern prediction accuracy and enable optimal recommendations of driving principles to the driver. © 2022 Meenakshi Malik et al.

it infrastructure, specially the service provider servers and network has often facing the threats about attacks. in past, at many instances the vulnerabilities of server has been exploited, though the periodic updation and release of patches. Distributed denial of service (DDos) is one of the very known security attack on networks infrastructure. in this, many active computer bots or zombies start requesting the services to server. the prime goal of these request is to make the servers busy in processing (overhead) the request due to the amount it receiving the request. therefore, server can not able to serve the request by legitimate users. in our proposal, we are providing the mechanism for early detection of request flooding based on homogeneity difference of harmonic and simple. the packet incursion detection leads to the second phase of the proposal in which the classification of the request is being perform. the support vector machine being used in the initial classification. Further, to reduce the mis-classification rate, in further assessment the fuzzy clustering modeling used on specific traffic request. in the end, the simulation result based on small and large traffic set is shown in simulation result. © springer Nature switzerland AG 2021.

Blockchain technology has gained extensive recognition across a range of industries and is currently considered as one of the most essential technologies in the computing industry. the incorporation of private computing into blockchain technology is very necessary because of the huge challenges that blockchain technology faces in terms of preserving the privacy of consumers while simultaneously ensuring the immutability and transparency of data. this technology enhances the protection of users' privacy and the safety of their data within blockchain networks, while enhancing transparency and accountability. Additionally, it has the capability of enabling blockchain applications to carry out actions that require complex cooperation and smart contracts while yet maintaining the confidentiality of user information. the review article offers an introductory overview of the security of blockchain-based applications, encompassing the fundamental principles of blockchain security, the associated challenges, and prospective solutions. the article introduces research questions related to these topics and incorporates an extensive literature analysis of more than 15 academic articles. in addition, it discusses the use of blockchain technology in secure systems, current developments in blockchain security, and presents case examples from previous research that focus on protecting blockchain applications. in conclusion, the research highlights the challenges and unexplored research domains in the field of blockchain security, concluding in a brief summary of its findings.
