We present COVERAGE - a novel database containing copy-move forged images and their originals with similar but genuine objects. COVERAGE is designed to highlight and address tamper detection ambiguity of popular methods, caused by self-similarity within natural images. In COVERAGE, forged-original pairs are annotated with (i) the duplicated and forged region masks, and (ii) the tampering factor/similarity metric. For benchmarking, forgery quality is evaluated using (i) computer vision-based methods, and (ii) human detection performance. We also propose a novel sparsity-based metric for efficiently estimating forgery quality. Experimental results show that (a) popular forgery detection methods perform poorly over COVERAGE, and (b) the proposed sparsity based metric best correlates with human detection performance. We release the COVERAGE database to the research community.

In recent years, with the rapid development of the World Wide Web, huge amount of data arises in our daily life. Which approach should be taken to assist users when searching the information they need is the point. For users, when facing the same resources, they more commonly annotate them or input search queries according to their own perspectives. This process has been already proven as a time-consuming. Based on the goal, we propose our methodology that to combine user's context, users' profile with users' Folksonomies together to optimize personal search. And at the end of this paper, we make an experiment to evaluate our methodology and which performs better.

In order to minimize the loss of disasters on urban earthquake damage prediction research is of great significance. This paper, establishment of a data management system based on ArcGIS +Visual *** platform is an important work of the project, design and development of Langfang City earthquake damage prediction system. Firstly, the overall system framework, then introduce the system to have the document management, Map management, information queries, spatial analysis and other basic functions of the spatial database to establish and thematic map production management, a key link in detail. Finally, through the practical application of Langfang City earthquake damage prediction play a very good decision support role, while the region of space results data for effective organization and management. © Li and Meng;Licensee Bentham Open.

Simulation and analysis for anthropogenic heat release

Heat balance of urban ecosystem is a key point for the study of urban climate and micro-climate pattern and its change mechanism. Urban heat island effect is becoming increasingly serious,which is mainly caused by the change of the earth's surface cover and the anthropogenic heat release. In this study,the simulation experiment for the anthropogenic heat release was designed according to the heat balance principle. A set of buildings of miniature city were used to constitute the residential area,U grooves were applied to simulate the single building,and the fluorescent lamps in the U groove were regarded as the heat sources of the anthropogenic heat release. The simulation experiment was launched with long-short wave sun photometer,sonic anemothermometer and heat flow gauge in the experiment site. Then the net solar radiation,sensible heat flux and heat flux into the ground were determined. The quantities of the anthropogenic heat release were calculated based on the heat balance principle,and were compared with the theoretical power consumption of the fluorescent lamps. The root mean square error( RMSE) of the simulation for the anthropogenic heat release reaches0. 078 W·m- 2,a comparatively high precision,which showes that the anthropogenic heat release can be accurately determined through the simulation experiments. This study provided a scientific method for the purpose of monitoring the anthropogenic heat release.

Mining semantic information from images is an important problem in information retrieval research field. In this paper, we propose a novel framework to mine semantic information by Gaussian mixture model from large-scale social images. The framework of our proposed method is made up of five steps: (1) The unlabeled image preprocess, (2) Features extraction, (3) Features extraction, (4) Building Gaussian mixture models, and (5) Obtaining semantic terms. Particularly, in our approach, the Gaussian mixture model is utilized to describe the relationship between semantic terms and visual features. Finally, two experiments are conducted on MIR-Flickr dataset to make performance evaluating. From the experimental results, the conclusions can be drawn that the proposed method are more effective than existing two methods in extracting semantic information from social images. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014.

Traditional calculations of word similarity are based on a single dictionary, and ignore the coordination between dictionaries. Therefore in order to improve the reliability of similarity calculation methods based on the dictionary, this paper proposes a similarity calculation method based on multi-dictionary, namely through the combination of multiple dictionaries, to improve the reliability of the calculation method of semantic similarity, and meanwhile give the similarity calculation method and steps. © 2014 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

On the basis of existing traffic status discrimination under normal conditions, considering the influence of earthquake disaster on road capacity, real-time discrimination methods of section and intersection under earthquake was proposedThrough considering factor such as road level, section capacity and section length, determined traffic status weights of sections and intersections, achieved the real-time discrimination of regional traffic statusThe method was verified using simulation road networkThe results showed that under earthquake the method has good performance in aspects of accuracy and prediction time.
