A time-delay recurrent neural network (TDRNN) model is proposed. TDRNN has a simple structure but far more "depth" and "resolution ratio" in memory by introducing the time-delay and recurrent mechanism. A dynamic recurrent back propagation algorithm is developed. The optimal adaptive learning rates are derived in the sense of discrete-type Lyapunov stability to guarantee the fast convergence of the proposed model. More specifically, a TDRNN identifier and a TDRNN controller are utilized for identifying and controlling nonlinear systems. Numerical experiments show that the TDRNN has good effectiveness in the identification and control for dynamic systems.

A nanometer porphyrin trimer was firstly synthesized with 1 ,3-dibromopropane as a bridge-linked agent and the fluorescence property and thermostability were studied. The results show that the fluorescence property and thermostability of the trimer are different from those of monoporphyrin. The effects of the molecule structure on the optical property and the thermostability were also studied in detail.

To improve the design automatism and make the design more independent of design specialist, it is necessary to develop the intelligent CAD systems based on CBR (Case-based Reasoning). In the case-based intelligent computer aided stamping processing design system, it needs retrieve the former useful case by the local shape of the automobile panel surface. So auto recognition of the local shape of the automobile panel surface is the key issue. To quickly recognize the surface local shape, an improved method based on spin-images is presented. Then, in order to recognize the local shape more accurately, an altitude-image method is proposed and introduced into independently developed intelligent die-face CAD system based on CBR. By these two methods, the local 3D surface shape would be recognized quickly and accurately. The results show that the algorithm is effectual.

Fuzziness modeling for spatial data is currently an important problem in geographic information systems and spatial databases. In many geographical applications, spatial regions do not always have sharply defined boundaries but frequently their interiors and boundaries are fuzzy. A fuzzy spatial region model was proposed based on pleat set and the property of fuzzy regions was analyzed. The calculation method of relative membership of point in fuzzy region was given, and visualization model based on absolute membership value was proposed. The practical case shows that the model based on pleat set is valuable in the fields such as GIS, geography and spatial database.

The constraint problem can be transformed to an optimization problem. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a new evolutionary computation technique. Even PSO has many attractive properties, but it lacks global search ability at the end of the run. This paper introduce a hybrid approach called the TPSO that simultaneously applies particle swarm optimization (PSO), and tabu search (TS) to create a generally well-performing search heuristics, and combat the problem of premature convergence. The new algorithm considers candidate solutions and their fitness as individuals, which are based on their recent search progress. The tabu search makes each particle to reset its record of its best position, to avoid making direction and velocity decisions on the basis of outdated information. The feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated on Solving Geometric Constraint Problems.

Two kinds of design methods of GPS/INS integrated navigation system are presented, that is GPS/INS integrative system and integrated navigation system based on information fusion. By analyzing mathematics model of the first system error, we found that inertia velocity error would cause code loop track error. Consequently, the pseudo range meterage error is interrelated with inertia velocity error, which is complex to calculate. If this relativity is ignored in the state equation and observation equation of this system, it must affect the estimated precision of the Kalman filter and maybe the system is unstable. Therefore, the second integrated navigation method is introduced. It adopts information fusion, federal Kalman filter and covariance. And consider the above pertinence to analyze the navigation performance of the integration system. Then it gives the flow of federal Kalman filter algorithm. By analyzing, the conclusion is that velocity error of integrated navigation system drops from 0.5m/s to below 0.05m/s, and improves the precision and reliability of the navigation system effectively, well continuity and real-time capability. We propose a new visualization method WDM to classify documents by adding in the position-factors of words such as the title-factor and the first-sentence-factor based on a SOM neural network. We also discuss the selection of the function which is used to calculate the belong-to-probability in neurons' reflecting process. The experimental results indicate that WDM makes the boundaries of different documents greatly more clear, and thus it can produce more accurate and intuitive classification compared to the visualization methods which do not have position-factors considered
