Peer-to-Peer(P2P)electricity trading is a significant research area that offers maximum fulfilment for both prosumer and *** also decreases the quantity of line loss incurred in Smart Grid(SG).But,uncertainities in demand and supply of the electricity might lead to instability in P2P market for both prosumer and *** recent times,numerous Machine Learning(ML)-enabled load predictive techniques have been developed,while most of the existing studies did not consider its implicit features,optimal parameter selection,and prediction *** order to overcome fulfill this research gap,the current research paper presents a new Multi-Objective Grasshopper Optimisation Algorithm(MOGOA)with Deep Extreme Learning Machine(DELM)-based short-term load predictive technique i.e.,MOGOA-DELM model for P2P Energy Trading(ET)in *** proposed MOGOA-DELM model involves four distinct stages of operations namely,data cleaning,Feature Selection(FS),prediction,and parameter *** addition,MOGOA-based FS technique is utilized in the selection of optimum subset of ***,DELM-based predictive model is also applied in forecasting the load *** proposed MOGOA model is also applied in FS and the selection of optimalDELM parameters to improve the predictive *** inspect the effectual outcome of the proposed MOGOA-DELM model,a series of simulations was performed using UK Smart Meter *** the experimentation procedure,the proposed model achieved the highest accuracy of 85.80%and the results established the superiority of the proposed model in predicting the testing data.

Downsampling consistency correction-based quality enhancement for CNN-based light field image super-resolution

In recent years, numerous CNN-based light field (LF) image super-resolution (SR) methods have been developed. However, due to the downsampling inconsistency between low-resolution (LR) testing LF images and LR training LF images, they may suffer from quality degradation. To address this quality degradation issue, this paper proposes a downsampling consistency correction-based (DCC-based) quality enhancement method. Firstly, a quality-based voting strategy is introduced to identify the downsampling scheme used in the training step. Next, a cascaded Swin Transformer-based recognizer is proposed to identify the downsampled position and downsampling scheme used in the LR testing LF image, after which the proposed DCC-based method is employed to significantly improve the quality of the upsampled LF image. Comprehensive experiments have been conducted on typical LF image datasets to demonstrate the significant quality improvement achieved by our method in comparison to state-of-the-art LF SR methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

High resolution direction of arrival estimation for closely spaced target in low signal to noise ration (SNR) is an active research area in underwater acoustic and SONAR signal processing The resolution performance of classical/traditional subspace based algorithms including MUSIC and ESPRIT procedures degraded under sever scenarios of low signal to noise ratio (SNR), less number of samples/snapshots and short distant targets. In this work, optimization courage of swarming intelligence of grey wolf optimization (GWO) is carried out for viable DOA estimation in the challenging instances of worst underwater scenarios using a uniform linear array (ULA). The high resolution DOA for short distant emitters is achieved using less number of samples vitally with GWO by inspecting the global minima of the highly nonlinear objective model of ULA having multi local minimas. The performance is analyzed for different number of targets employing estimation accuracy, resolution certainty, variability analysis, frequency distribution of RMSE, robustness against different SNR of additive-white Gaussian measurement noise and comparative studies with MUSIC and Particle Swarm Optimization PSO with the validation strength of Cramer Rao bound reveals the valuation of the scheme. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Mechanical thrombectomy as a therapeutic option for ischemic stroke can possibly be supported by localizing the used catheters and guidewires during the intervention. In this study we equipped a probing catheter and a guidewire with electromagnetic (EM) sensors that can be localized in real time by means of an EM field generator. These instruments were tested regarding tracking accuracy and handling in laboratory and clinics. While accuracy was better than 0.4mm in all cases and the probing catheter showed promising handling and robustness, we observed handling problems and a sensor defect in case of the guidewire. We further demonstrated 3D navigation of the tracked catheter by probing 10 targets inside a vascular phantom with an average error of 1.8 mm. © 2023 Der/die Autor(en), exklusiv lizenziert an Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH, ein Teil von Springer Nature.

The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has become a significant issue in designing smart cities. Many applications and services are provided in IoV for various purposes. They need the resources for the computation and data collection. One of the open issues in IoV is resource management because of resource limitation, resource heterogeneity, and dynamic networks. To our knowledge, no systematic and thorough research in resource management methodologies was conducted in IoV, despite the critical nature of resource management challenges. This paper analyzes the recently published studies on resource management in IoV. Our analysis shows that resource allocation has the most utilization rate of resource management approaches at 30%. The most critical parameter in resource allocation is cost, which includes energy, time, price, and processing capacity. The analytical reports show those cost parameters have the most evaluation in the approaches by 19%. Furthermore, we propose a taxonomy for resource management in IoV and extract challenges and open issues in this field. Tree morphology plays an important role in both crop training system design and crop load management, which are essential to tree fruit crops such as apples. Accurate and rapid characterization of tree morphology patterns would facilitate the reach of crop ideotypes, the implementation of data-driven management such as precision pruning, and the scientific discovery of genetic mechanisms for controlling tree architecture. While 3D imaging has been intensively investigated for tree characterization in recent studies, segmentation of orchard trees into topological organs and acquiring enough annotated 3D data for network training are two main bottlenecks hindering the successive characterization processes. In this study, we propose a pipeline using simulated apple trees generated from real tree information for training a deep neural segmentation network. Subsequently, we designed 9 experiments to fine-tune the network with a different number of real trees and benchmarked the phenotyping performance on 21 real trees based on the segmentation results across several experiments to demonstrate the capabilities of introducing simulated trees as a source substitute for reliable crop tree phenotyping. Results indicated that the phenotyping performance from six-shot (Mix) segmentation results with a more balanced tree composition in the fine-tuning set are highly correlated with the ground truth, showing similar accuracy to those obtained using a substantial amount of real training data. Therefore, to optimize the use of simulated data for real-world applications of tree morphology phenotyping, it’s critical to make the feature distribution of the simulated data used for fine-tuning as balanced as possible. This approach helps to alleviate issues like uneven feature distribution and ensures more robust and unbiased phenotyping results. © 2024 ASABE Annual International Meeting. All rights reserved.

The least-square method is widely used in the fast phase unwrapping of optical three-dimensional measurement due to its high-speed and comprehensive characteristics. In order to solve the problem of measurement error propagation in the phase unwrapping algorithm based on least-square method, an improved eight-direction least-square phase unwrapping algorithm is proposed in this paper. This algorithm not only researches the gradient difference between the target phase and its eight-neighbor phases, improving measurement accuracy and reducing measurement errors.
