Time Sensitive Ethernet is quickly emerging to be the preferred choice as the backbone network for in-vehicle communication, due to its high bandwidth, reliability, scalability, backward compatibility, and support for diverse traffic types. However, individual real-time control subsystems which may need to communicate via this backbone network, may be driven by non-Ethernet protocols like CAN, FlexRay, etc. Beyond ad hoc approaches, this highlights the need for a systematic message scheduling mechanism that enables seamless real-time message transmission over heterogeneous network domains. In this context, this work proposes a formal SMT (Satisfiability Modulo Theories) formulation for statically scheduling a set of persistent, periodic real-time messages. While the sources and destinations of these messages are in different CAN-network domains, the message transmissions must be conducted via an intermediate Time Sensitive Networking (TSN;IEEE802.1Q) backbone. Although, this formal strategy achieves high resource utilization while guaranteeing end-to-end timeliness, it is computationally exponential in nature with overheads becoming prohibitively expensive even for moderate problem sizes. Hence, we propose a lower overhead scheduling strategy called CAN-THER which can deliver efficient and quick solutions even for large problem sizes. The proposed scheduling strategies have been analyzed and compared using extensive simulation based experiments. Results reveal that CAN-THER is able to achieve performance that is up to 90% of the SMT formulation, while producing solutions at speeds that are approximately 104 times faster for problems having up to 12 CAN flows and 15 TSN switches. © 2024 IEEE.

Detection of a staircase is an important task in the fields of both assistive technology and autonomous navigation with an aim to enable substantial improvement in safety and accessibility for both those with limited vision and those with mobility problems. Classic methods often perform poorly under challenging conditions, such as low lighting, irregular architectural arrangements, or occluded views. Whereas the integration of physical depth sensors has increased detection accuracy, this integration introduces increased complexity, cost and greater maintenance issues. Our work proposes a novel architecture capable of directly estimating depth maps from color images using a pre-trained model without relying on physical sensors for depth estimation. It detects the staircase efficiently, including the classification of stair lines into concave or convex, with the classification of surfaces as a tread or riser, hence localizing staircases accurately. Our proposed methodology demonstrated exceptional results, with 83.2% Precision, 90.8% Recall, and 72.2% Intersection over Union on stair line classification and 97.1% Pixel Accuracy and 82.9% Mean Pixel Accuracy on stair surfaces by outperforming the efficacy of current approaches pertaining to stair line and surface classification. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2025.

Clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) can effectively detect illnesses such as breast cancer (BC) using a variety of medical imaging techniques. BC is a key factor contributing to the rise in the death rate among women worldwide. Early detection will lessen its impact, which may motivate patients to have quick surgical therapy. computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems are designed to provide radiologists recommendations to assist them in diagnosing BC. However, it is still restricted and limited, the interpretability cost, time consumption, and complexity of architecture are not considered. These limitations limit their use in healthcare devices. Therefore, we thought of presenting a revolutionary deep learning (DL) architecture based on recurrent and convolutional neural networks called Bi-xBcNet-96. In order to decrease carbon emissions while developing the DL model for medical image analysis and meet the objectives of sustainable artificial intelligence, this study seeks to attain high accuracy at the lowest computing cost. It takes into consideration the various characteristics of the pathological variation of BC disease in mammography images to obtain high detection accuracy. It consists of six stages: identifying the region of interest, detecting spatial features, discovering the effective features of the BC pathological types that have infected nearby cells in a concentrated area, identifying the relationships between distantly infected cells in some BC pathological types, weighing the extracted features, and classifying the mammography image. According to experimental findings, Bi-xBcNet-96 beat other comparable works on the benchmark datasets, attaining a classification accuracy of 98.88% in DDSM dataset, 100% in INbreast dataset with 5.08% and 0.3% improvements over the state-of-the-art methods, respectively. Furthermore, a 95.79% reduction in computing complexity was achieved. © The Author(s) 2024.

Web search engines are used for retrieving information but still there exists ambiguity in their retrieval process. It is so because traditional search engines laid emphasis on matching of keywords rather than maintaining semantic relations among terms lack of ability to produce precise results, presence of ambiguous keywords and verifying needs of users are few hindrances that are acting as scenario for web search engines. The paper focuses on improving search quality of users by collecting user experiences through creating hierarchical user profile it leads to collaborative search engine that helps in reaching at particular decision then the collected user's data are uploaded to recommendation server which are than displayed a search engines like Google/Yahoo. © 2024 IEEE.

A secure operating system in the communication network can provide the stable working environment,which ensures that the user information is not *** micro-kernel operating system in the communication network retains the core functions in the kernel,and unnecessary tasks are implemented by calling external *** to the small amount of code,the micro-kernel architecture has high reliability and *** the microkernel operating system in the communication network prototype VSOS as an example,we employ the objdump tool to disassemble the system source code and get the assembly layer *** this basis,we apply the Isabelle/HOL,a formal verification tool,to model the system *** referring to the mathematical model of finite automata and taking the process scheduling module as an example,the security verification based on the assembly language layer is *** on the Hoare logic theory,each assembly statement of the module is verified in *** verification results show that the scheduling module of VSOS has good functional security,and also show the feasibility of the refinement framework.

Web-based technology provides various online services to virtually all businesses. Almost everything can be completed online, so fewer duties, expenses, and labour costs exist. The article explores the concept of a web-based infrastructure that would enable a variety of medical and hospital procedures to be conducted online using Web and networking technology. This platform may be required for the implementation of online medical administration capabilities. This would benefit the management of doctor schedules, the administration of patients, and the maintenance of patient information accessible throughout the facility. Using customized application programming, we developed a web application for managing, communicating, storing, and updating patient data online to handle numerous time-intensive and inconvenient duties. The application's performance is assessed and compared with other similar programming languages. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain technology has emerged as a promising solution for enhancing the security, transparency, and efficiency of electronic voting systems. This review paper presents a comprehensive analysis of recent research papers, examining various cryptographic techniques, consensus mechanisms, and blockchain frameworks designed to address critical issues such as voter anonymity, coercion resistance, and election integrity. The findings are categorized into key themes: security, privacy, scalability, verifiability, and performance, with an emphasis on advanced methods like biometric encryption and quantum key distribution. Emerging trends, including quantum cryptography and decentralized governance, are explored as future avenues for innovation. Despite these advancements, challenges related to governance, user engagement, legal frameworks, and system interoperability persist. The paper concludes by identifying the need for further research into scalability and security improvements, as well as the seamless integration of blockchain solutions with existing electoral infrastructure to enable real-world adoption © 2025 IEEE.

Sensing the content of macronutrients in the agricultural soil is an essential task in precision *** helps the farmers in the optimal use of *** reduces the cost of food production and also the negative environmentalimpacts on atmosphere and water bodies due to indiscriminate dosageof *** traditional chemical-based laboratory soil analysis methodsdo not serve the purpose as they are hardly suitable for site specific soil ***,the spectral range used in the chemical-based laboratory soil analysismay be of 350-2500 nm,which leads to redundancy and *** sensors based on the discovery of spectral wavebands that respondto soil macronutrient concentrations,on the other hand,is an innovative and successfultechnology since the results are dependable and *** goal of thisarticle is to use a supervised neuro-fuzzy based dimensionality reduction approachin the sensor development process to determine sensitive wavebands of ***,the spectral signatures of the soil are collected inan outdoor environment and mapped with its macronutrient *** thisspectral analysis,the spectral reflectance of 424 wavelengths has been obtainedand these wavelengths are evaluated through combined and individual modesas *** wavelengths are selected in each case by minimizing the fuzzy reflectance assessment *** effectiveness of these selected wavelengthsin each mode is validated by modeling the relation between the reduced reflectancespace and each macronutrient concentration using Partial Least Squares Multi Variable Regression(PLS-MVR)*** of optimal wavebands areidentified and the results are compared with the existing systems.

Localization of Victims in Disaster Area Using RSSI with Machine Learning Techniques

Aftermath of disaster, efficient and accurate localization of victims and resources is crucial for effective rescue operations. Traditional localization algorithms face challenges posed by environmental noise, multipath reflection, and various uncertainties, all of which can compromise range accuracy and therefore, affect the localization precision. This paper addresses the localization problem by leveraging machine learning techniques for a disaster area network. We first generate a set of Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values collected by Anchor Nodes (ANs) for signals received from Target Nodes (TNs). Using the RSSI data collected from victims, we train machine learning models to accurately estimate the locations of individuals with maximum coverage. In this paper, we investigate the influence of placing the anchor nodes in a grid pattern as well as randomly distributing these nodes throughout the deployment area. We examine the effect on various network parameters with varying number of anchor nodes and target nodes. Through simulation, we investigate the performance of machine learning algorithms including Support Vector Regression (SVR), Random Forest (RF), k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN), and Gradient Boosting (GB) with optimization-based techniques such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) in terms of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Localization Error (MLE) and Node Localization Efficiency (NLE). © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The research aims to identify the age, plumage, and sex of bird species using standard Pre-trained Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (Pre-DCNNs). The proposed work involves collecting various bird images, which are then used for training and validating the pre-trained DCNNs. The dataset contains 200 images of four bird species. The dataset was split into twelve labeled classes of images based on age, plumage, and sex. The standard image manipulation techniques such as cropping, flipping, mirroring, rotating, shearing, and skewing were used as image augmentation techniques to increase the size of the proposed dataset. The proposed data is preprocessed, including feature extraction and data cleaning, to ensure the performance of the Pre-Trained DCNNs. The Pre-Trained DCNNs were trained on 90% of the dataset to recognize patterns in bird images. The accuracy of the pre-trained DCNNs was evaluated using metrics such as classification accuracy. The research acknowledged the advantages and limitations of the standard Pre-Trained DCNNs on the age, plumage, and sex of birds using the images. Also, it compares the performance of the Pre-Trained DCNNs on the proposed bird species image dataset. © 2024 IEEE.
