Effectively harnessing feature correlations is crucial for optimal performance in video action recognition tasks, whether in spatial or temporal dimensions. Convolutional operations excel at capturing local features through correlations among nearby points, while self-attention mechanisms capture global information by enabling interactions among all feature points. However, the limitations of a single convolutional layer in comprehending holistic feature correlations and the tendency of self-attention layers to overlook local positional characteristics necessitate an innovative approach. We introduce the Spatial–Temporal Convolutional Attention Network, comprising the Spatial Convolutional Attention Network and the Temporal Convolutional Attention Network. This approach strategically combines the strengths of self-attention for global context and convolution for local features, mitigating the limitations of individual layers. Key innovations include [explicitly state innovations]. To reinforce the uniqueness of our approach, we provide specific comparisons with existing methods, highlighting its superiority. In rigorous experiments, our proposed network demonstrates enhanced recognition performance, quantified through metrics such as accuracy and F1 score improvements over baseline models. By effectively capturing feature correlations, our approach elevates the neural network's capacity for spatiotemporal modeling, marking a significant advancement in video action recognition. An accurate predictive model of temperature and humidity plays a vital role in many industrial processes that utilize a closed space such as in agriculture and building management. With the exceptional performance of deep learning on time-series data, developing a predictive temperature and humidity model with deep learning is propitious. In this study, we demonstrated that deep learning models with multivariate time-series data produce remarkable performance for temperature and relative humidity prediction in a closed space. In detail, all deep learning models that we developed in this study achieve almost perfect performance with an R value over 0.99. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Antenna-on-Chip (AoC) is one of the most promising solutions in upcoming 6G era. However, AoC suffers from low gain usually due to the highly conductive silicon substrate in mainstream complementary-metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) processes. Artificial magnetic conductors (AMC) embedded within the stack-up of standard CMOS processes have been widely used to enhance the gain by isolating the AoC from the Si substrate and providing constructive reflection. Nonetheless, the ultra-thin stack-up of standard CMOS processes causes that only the AMC unit cells nearby the AoC can be illuminated well while the outermost part is illuminated poorly, which prevents the AMC from its optimal reflection performance. To mitigate the issue, this paper proposes a novel via-based magnetic coupling enhancement structures (H-CES- V) to improve the AMC illumination by coupling the energy from well-illuminated unit cells to outermost unit cells magnetically. Compared to conventional AMC, the gain can be improved by 1.5 dBi with the proposed structure. Finally, the proposed AMC-backed AoC with H-CES- V shows a boresight gain of 7 dBi (12 dBi better than a standalone AoC without AMC), and a radiation efficiency of 59 % at 94 GHz.

Currently, the performance of the police in Indonesia is often in the spotlight of the public with cases that occur, both on a national and regional scale, including personal experiences who also feel disappointed with the performance of the police. The cases, such as the rape of three children by a biological father in East Luwu, and the barrage of other cases that have occurred, in their handling have left the public disappointed, giving rise to the hashtag percumlaporpolisi on social media, especially on twitter. This hashtag became trending and was widely responded to by the public. Using free hashtag keywords, tweet data is collected using Twitter's API for sentiment analysis. The datasets obtained from the crawling results is the latest data with a total of 100 datasets. This study applies the naïve bayes algorithm using textblob which aims to determine the value of polarity and subjectivity. From the results of the analysis carried out, the words that appear most often are useless police, police chief, and policeman. While the results of the sentiment analysis that has been carried out are 40 percent positive sentiment, 40 percent are neutral sentiment and 10 percent are negative sentiment from the hashtags used. From these results, according to the keywords used, the percentage of negative sentiment should be greater than positive and neutral sentiment. It is necessary to conduct a more in-depth study related to the model used in the next research. © 2023 IEEE.

Batik is an Indonesian world cultural heritage. Batik consists of many kinds of patterns depending on where the batik comes from, Batik-making techniques continue to develop along with technology development. Among the batik making techniques that are widely used are hand-written, stamping, and printing. Batik motifs have been widely used as research material, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. The diverse appearance of batik motifs has attracted many researchers to carry out research on making synthetic batik patterns, one of which uses a Generative Adversarial Network. This paper presents a synthetic batik pattern model based on the Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty. This model has been proven to create new synthetic batik patterns quite well and almost identical with images provided in the dataset, with the notes if the dataset provided is large. © 2023 IEEE.

Antenna-on-chip (AoC) is one of the promising solutions in the 6G era. However, it suffers from poor radiation due to the lossy Si substrate. Placing an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) under the AoC cannot only isolate the AoC from the lossy Si substrate but also provide in-phase reflection. Nonetheless, the ultra-thin stack-up of the mainstream semiconductor technology makes the realization of AMC challenging at the millimeter-wave spectrum. To make the AMC electrically thicker, this paper presents four kinds of thickness reduction techniques (TRT): slot, notch, metallic post, and embedded guiding structure. With TRTs, an ultra-thin AMC ( $15\ \mu \mathrm{m}$ thickness) is realized. With the proposed AMC, the AoC demonstrated a gain of 3.2 dB at 72 GHz. Compared to the standalone antenna, the AMC enhances the gain by 7 dB.

This paper considers video and audio transmission in ICN (Information-Centric Networking)/ CCN (ContentCentric Networking), where each intermediate node can cache content. We have proposed LCD with Prob, combining traditional policies: LCD (Leave Copy Down) and probabilistic caching. This paper assumes a case where multiple video and audio streams exist simultaneously. We assess application-level QoS (Quality of Service) and QoE (Quality of Experience) of video and audio transmission utilizing LCD with Prob. We also add a mechanism for further QoE enhancement called “LCD with Prob deletion.” We assess application-level QoS using a computer simulation with a tree network and QoE by means of a subjective experiment. From the assessment result, we show the effectiveness of LCD with Prob deletion against existing policies.

In the contemporary digital era, individuals face an overwhelming challenge of searching for personalized content from a seemingly infinite pool of available options such as books, videos, articles, and movies. Simultaneously, digital content providers strive to attract and retain as many users on their platforms as possible for extended periods. This has led to the evolution of recommender systems, which aim to enhance user engagement and satisfaction by recommending content based on their preferences and interests. These systems employ sophisticated algorithms and data mining techniques to analyze user behavior and feedback, enabling them to make personalized recommendations to users, thereby improving their overall experience. In this paper, an investigation is conducted in which different models in machine learning with their combinations are evaluated to evaluate which model could give the best accuracy with actual ratings given by users. The models used are Lasso regression, XGBoost, K-nearest neighbor, surprise baseline only, SVD, SVDpp, and their combinations. The proposed ensembled model of XGBoost + surprise baseline + surprise KNN baseline + SVD + SVDpp, with the minimum value of RMSE as 1.111410 and MAPE value as 39.261054, is our best model and can serve as a reference for any future recommender system. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

This paper compares video and audio QoE of OFDMA multi-user transmission and reliable groupcast over wireless LAN. We assume video and audio transmission to several terminals simultaneously. As a reliable groupcast method, we employ Unsolicited Retry, a technique of IEEE 802.11aa GroupCast with Retries. We utilize IEEE 802.11ax for OFDMA transmission. We evaluate application-level QoS by computer simulation. We then assess QoE through a subjective experiment with video and audio streams generated by the output timing obtained from the simulation. We notice that each method has a situation to be applied appropriately.

In this paper, we consider multi-view video and audio streaming using MPEG-DASH, which enables to transmit video tailored to the network conditions over HTTP communication. This paper uses HTTP/2 instead of HTTP/1.1, which the authors previously used. HTTP/2 manages a series of request-response exchanges called a stream, which is assigned a unique stream ID. We perform a subjective experiment under various network conditions to evaluate application-level QoS and QoE. From the evaluation results, we investigate the effect of the HTTP/2 stream on the video and audio quality of the users in the multi-view video transmission scenario.
