This study delves into the crucial task of rumor detection amidst the rapid spread of information online, focusing on the efficacy of advanced dual co-attention ensemble models for ensuring digital communication’s reliability. By integrating Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) Representation, Self-Attention (SA) Models, and Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers (BERT) Sentiment Models, alongside various Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, the research examines the potential of these models to improve rumor detection accuracy significantly. The investigation encompasses eight distinct models: the GRU Representation Model, the SA Model, the BERT Sentiment Model, and various dual co-attention ensemble combinations thereof (GRU + SA, SA + BERT, BERT + GRU, and GRU + SA + BERT), employing a sophisticated voting mechanism for rumor classification. This comprehensive evaluation across key performance metrics Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1 Score revealed the substantial impact of leveraging dual co-attention ensemble model strengths, particularly through dual co-attention and a strategic voting mechanism. Among the dual co-attention ensemble models, the SA + GRU + BERT configuration emerged as a superior performer, achieving remarkable results with an accuracy of 93.5%, a precision of 92%, a perfect recall of 99%, and an F1 score of 95%. These findings underscore the dual co-attention ensemble models’ exceptional capability to address rumor detection challenges effectively. The study not only showcases the promising prospects of utilizing cutting-edge AI for rumor detection but also provides insights for refining these models further. It suggests avenues for future research, including model finetuning, ethical considerations, and the necessity for real-time monitoring. This research underscores the transformative potential of AI in enhancing the accuracy of online information, paving the way for future advancements in rumor detection. © The Author(s),

Ransomware is one of the most advanced malware which uses high computer resources and services to encrypt system data once it infects a system and causes large financial data losses to the organization and individuals. There are certain automatic ransomware detection and analysis strategies available nowadays. File system analysis reveals some essential patterns and artifacts that can be very useful to understand its behavior spreading mechanism, taxonomy for malware forensics experts. Current trend explores Ransomware as a service (RaaS) and Malware as a service (MaaS) on Darknet. This paper reveals a theory of digital forensic methodology to identify the spreading/infection mechanism and attack path, the cryptographic methodology, windows services, process, APIs, persistence mechanism, and system lockdown strategies and malware analysis methodology. In serverless computing, the service provider takes full responsibility for function management. However, serverless computing has many challenges regarding data security and function scheduling. To address these challenges, we have proposed a system to secure the data of an end-user. We also aim to meet the quality of service (QoS) for the end-user requests. This work presents a Simulated Annealing-based optimization algorithm for function placement. Also, we have Hyperledger Fabric, a blockchain framework in the system architecture for securing the data of an end-user. We have conducted experiments in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) taking virtual machine instances. The experiments in Amazon EC2 indicate that the proposed system secures the data and enhances the end-user's QoS. © 2025 IEEE.

In today's rapidly evolving network landscape, cybersecurity has become increasingly crucial. However, wireless sensor networks face unique challenges due to their limited resources and diverse composition, high computational demands, diminished accuracy rates, making them susceptible to a wide array of cyber threats. To tackle these challenges, this research introduced a novel method known as Optimized Graph Transformer with Molecule Attention Network (OGTMAN) on the fusion of Secure Multi-party Computation (SMC) and differential privacy aimed at enhancing privacy and security. This approach starts with data preprocessing, employing min–max normalization to address dataset imbalances. N-Tuple Contrastive Learning with Generative transformer(N-TCLG)feature extractor distinguish between different classes of data instances and effectively learns representations that capture relevant information about network traffic patterns Further, feature selection by enhanced chi-square statistics with kepler algorithm, is utilized to assess the significance of each feature in characteristic between normal network behavior and malicious activities further refines the feature selection method by optimizing the selection criteria based on the statistical properties of the dataset. Finally, the proposed OGTMAN classifies various attacks based on their behavioural patterns with the help of enhanced ant aphid optimization with adaptive step factor. Ultimately, this fine-tuning yield superior model training outcomes, resulting more accurate attack classification outcomes. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, datasets encompassing with KDD Cup 99 datasets are employed. Emotions are fundamental for human beings and play an important role in human cognition. Emotion is commonly associated with logical decision making, perception, human interaction, and to a certain extent, human intelligence itself. Emotion detection discussed in this paper is a technique that uses electroencephalography (EEG) to measure brain activity and identify different emotional states, it is a non-invasive method that measures electrical activity in the brain through electrodes placed on the scalp. The electrical activity of the brain is related to different cognitive and emotional processes, and electroencephalography can be used to measure changes in brain activity that occur in response to different emotions. The emotion prediction model can be used for early detection and of mental health disorders and to tailor personalised treatment plans for such patients, to help researchers gain a better understanding of the emotional aspects of various conditions and even in stress management, wellness program and more. © 2024 IEEE.

Tumors are a pervasive concern in modern life, driven by cellular irregularities that disrupt the orderly division necessary for healthy cell growth. However, brain tumors present unique challenges compared to tumors in other regions due to the intricacies of brain structure and function. A brain tumor occurs when cells in the cerebral cortex undergo uncontrolled proliferation. Diagnosing brain tumors, especially in their early stages is a formidable task that often relies on manual examination of medical images by radiologists or healthcare professionals. Despite various approaches to brain tumor classification, precision remains paramount while ensuring practical utility in segmentation and classification tasks. Traditional methods are often manual, time-consuming and lacking in automated classification capabilities, hampering efficient decision-making. The advent of deep learning technology has revolutionized medical image processing, particularly in the realm of brain tumor analysis. Deep learning algorithms, powered by vast datasets and computational prowess, offer remarkable capabilities in automating segmentation and classification tasks, thereby enhancing accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing brain tumors. Consequently, this study introduces a method for smart brain tumor segmentation and classification leveraging deep learning techniques. The process begins with acquiring essential images through established benchmarking techniques. These images are then processed in the abnormality segmentation phase, utilizing Mobile-Unet++ (MUnet++) for segmentation. Following segmentation, the images undergo a classification phase, where brain tumors are classified using Multi-scale Mobilenet (MMNet). To validate effectiveness of proposed technique, an efficacy study is conducted, comparing it against traditional methodologies for segmentation and classification of brain. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, Rumor Spreading over Online Social Media is found as one of the serious issue, which causes severe damage to society, organization and individuals. To control the rumor spread, rumor detection is found as one of the probable solution and gained huge interest in the research community. However, most of the past methods characterize the rumormonger behavior based on their own profiles and completely neglected the reputation features. A hybrid method for rumor identification by combining the user reputation feature with other features like user features, meta-content based features and linguistic features is proposed. The major novelty lies at the representation of users through their interaction with his/her followers in different communities. The own profile based features can be evaded easily but the reputation of follows cannot be evaded easily. Totally 44 features are used to characterize each tweet and trained through different classifiers. Four classifiers namely K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) are used to train the system and the performance is analyzed through two standard datasets namely Zubiaga and Kwon. INTRODUCTION: Cloud computing, a still emerging technology, allows customers to pay for services based on usage. It provides internet-based services, whilst virtualization optimizes a PC’s available resources. OBJECTIVES: The foundation of cloud computing is the data center, comprising networked computers, cables, electricity components, and various other elements that host and store corporate data. In cloud data centers, high performance has always been a critical concern, but this often comes at the cost of increased energy consumption. METHODS: The most problematic factor is reducing power consumption while maintaining service quality and performance to balance system efficiency and energy use. Our proposed approach requires a comprehensive understanding of energy usage patterns within the cloud environment. RESULTS: We examined power consumption trends to demonstrate that with the application of the right optimization principles based on energy consumption models, significant energy savings can be made in cloud data centers. During the prediction phase, tablet optimization, with its 97 % accuracy rate, enables more accurate future cost forecasts. CONCLUSION: Energy consumption is a major concern for cloud data centers. To handle incoming requests with the fewest resources possible, given the increasing demand and widespread adoption of cloud computing, it is essential to maintain effective and efficient data center strategies. © (2024) Panigrahi, B.S. et al., licensed to EAI. Malaria, a significant global health threat, is traditionally diagnosed through manual examination of blood smears for parasite-infected cells, a method limited by its reliance on the examiner’s expertise. To overcome these limitations, this study employs deep learning for malaria prediction, leveraging models like XCEPTION, AlexNet, DenseNet, and MobileNet, enhanced with transfer learning, to classify blood smears as parasitized or uninfected using Anaconda software. The models were trained on a dataset comprising 80% of the online medical records, with 10% used for validation and the remaining 10% for testing on 224 × 224 pixel images. DenseNet emerged as the top performer with a 97% accuracy rate, followed by MobileNet, AlexNet, and XCEPTION. The study further incorporates the LIME (Local Interpretable Model-agnostic Explanations) technique for interpretability, providing understandable explanations for predictions to bolster trust and transparency in the deep learning model’s diagnostic capabilities. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
